Rong Minglei chased after Rong Jin and kept chattering. When he reached the door of Rong Yu's room, Rong Jin opened the door and went in, then slammed the door panel in his backhand.
"Ah!" Rong Minglei screamed and immediately squatted down, covering his nose.
The two old men went upstairs slowly, and when they came up they saw Rong Minglei squatting at the door with tears streaming down his face.
"Useless thing, why are you crying? You already grabbed him, why didn't you stop him?" Old man Rong was wearing a Zhongshan suit and leaning on a cane. Seeing how useless his son was, he wanted to hit him on the head again.
Rong Minglei took his hand away from his nose, and his mouth was covered with blood. "This jinx, he hit me with the door, he wanted to kill me!"
The two elders saw Rong Minglei's face covered in blood, and they were disgusted but also felt distressed. "Then what are you still standing here for? Hurry up and go deal with it."
"But..." Rong Minglei looked at the door of Rong Yu's room and was reluctant to leave, fearing that Rong Jin would really do something cruel.
Rong Jin said he wanted to strangle Rong Yu to death, and they had no doubt at all that he was capable of doing such a thing.
"Get out of here, you can't do anything here." After the old man said this, he walked over and knocked on the door.
It’s not that there are no bodyguards in the house, but the servants and bodyguards only listen to Rong Jin, and they can’t be ordered around.
Rong Minglei covered his nose and went downstairs. Thinking of his wife who was still in the hospital, he felt his nose hurt more and tears came out again.
Inside the room, Rong Jin listened to the violent knocks on the door without even raising his eyebrows.
Fortunately, the door was of good quality, otherwise the old man would have knocked a hole in it sooner or later if he had kept hitting it with his cane.
Rong Yu, who had just fallen asleep with a weak breath, was awakened by a knock on the door. A trace of panic appeared on his pale face. Then he turned around and saw Rong Jin beside the bed, and forced a smile with difficulty.
Rong Yu doesn't look like Rong Jin. He looks more like Rong Minglei. His appearance is not particularly outstanding, but he has a gentle temperament and his facial features make people feel comfortable when looking at him.
Rong Jin's eyebrows and eyes are more like his mother's.
"Aren't you going to leave? Why haven't you left yet?" Rong Yu just closed his eyes for a while and thought he had slept for a long time.
After falling ill and being bedridden, he found it difficult to get a good night's sleep, but was often not fully awake. The doctor could not diagnose his condition, so he could only lie in bed, and every day he lived was a day's gain.
Facing Rong Yu, Rong Jin's expression softened considerably. "I was about to leave when the two old guys tried to die in front of me. I wanted to wait until they were dead before leaving."
Hearing this, Rong Yu was not afraid at all. Instead, he showed a helpless smile and said, "You know they are just talking. I'm fine. Go and do what you want."
Rong Jin is now a completely different person, but the tone Rong Yu uses when speaking to him is still the same as before, gentle and doting.
Although he is three years younger than Rong Jin, he has always been more like an older brother.
"Are you really okay?" Rong Jin stared into his bright and clear eyes. "When did you become sick?"
Rong Yu thought about it, then raised his hand with difficulty to touch his eyes, "I have been very weak since the operation."
"It's been almost a year, right? When you had the operation, your health was still good, but then it got worse and worse. The doctor couldn't find the cause, and you don't know it yourself?" Rong Jin's tone was a little aggressive.
But Rong Yu shook his head calmly, "I don't know."
Then he laughed at himself and said, "Maybe this is my karma?"
"What kind of retribution is this?" Rong Jin narrowed his eyes slightly.
Feeling that Rong Jin was a little unhappy, Rong Yu didn't say the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
But even if he didn't say it, Rong Jin knew what he was going to say, which was nothing more than that he didn't deserve everything he had now, and all the good things would require him to pay a huge price in exchange.
This mentality of his was PUA-ed out by Rong Minglei and his wife in his early years. They wanted him to be outstanding in everything and become the heir of the Rong family, but they turned their daily words into dense poisonous needles, piercing Rong Yu's heart one by one.
"Have a good rest. I won't leave for now. We'll talk after you get better." Rong Jin said and got up and left.
Rong Jin originally wanted to ask Rong Yu if he had any idea about being haunted by ghosts, but now it seems that he is completely clueless.
Rong Yu is a kind person and basically won't make enemies with others. Besides, he has health problems and has stayed at home for several years, so he should not have the opportunity to do anything bad.
If it wasn't Rong Yu's fault, then it could only be their self-righteous parents.
After Rong Jin left the bedside, Rong Yu's eyes fell on the window, and no one knew what he was looking at.
The knocking continued. Rong Jin opened the door and the two old men rushed in out of inertia.
Rong Jin kept his distance before opening the door, watched the two men fall to the ground, then he raised his long legs and stepped over them.
By the time they slowly got up, Rong Jin had already walked away.
Without even bothering to curse, the two elders quickly got up to check on Rong Yu's condition.
"Xiao Yu, are you okay? Did he bully you?" They felt relieved when they saw Rong Yu lying on the bed with his eyes open and breathing.
Rong Yu still spoke softly, "Grandpa, Grandma, don't be so critical of him. He's my brother and he won't hurt me."
Unfortunately, the two elders only cared about whether he was okay. Whenever he spoke up for Rong Jin, they would turn a deaf ear.
When Rong Jin went downstairs, Rong Minglei was lying on the sofa with a tissue stuffed in his nose to stop the bleeding.
He saw Rong Jin coming out of the corner of his eye, and he quickly turned over and prepared to go upstairs to see Rong Yu.
"Sit down." Rong Jin whispered two words.
Rong Minglei, who had just stood up, sat down again obediently, with his hands flat on his thighs, not daring to make any big movements.
