Chapter 237 Tianhu Village

Xiao Li followed all the way to their mountain stronghold, which was located in a valley. Two natural stones were used as the gate, with a wooden fence in the middle. Three words were engraved on one side of the stone - Tianhu Village.

Don’t be fooled by its unassuming appearance, but this copycat is quite large in scale.

Half of the mountain is covered with countless stone and thatched houses, where many people live, including men, women, young and old.

But it is more like a small village than a mountain stronghold.

Xiao Li took a walk around and used some unfamiliar power to find out that the leader of this mountain stronghold was the tall and strong man named Niu Tianhu, and the girl was his only daughter, Niu Jiuhua.

The names of this father and daughter are as eye-catching as their appearance.

Their stronghold was established ten years ago. At the beginning, Niu Tianhu and a few of his brothers offended the officials, and a group of people ran here to hide their lives.

Later, when the enemy country invaded, people from the villages below moved to this valley to avoid the war. Over time, the number of people increased, reaching thousands.

Farming and hunting were their means of survival, but occasionally they needed to go down the mountain to exchange for some important supplies such as salt and ironware. However, they were bandits and had no household registration cards, so the government did not recognize them and they could not enter the big city. In the end, they could only rob merchants transporting goods.

His original intention was not to be a bandit, but in the end he became a real bandit.

"Sister Jiuhua, are you pregnant?"

"No."

"Then you're going to continue giving birth to cubs?"

"Um."

The conversation between the two little girls attracted Xiao Li. She landed lightly on the table. The two little girls who were whispering had no idea that there was a third person listening.

Although Niu Jiuhua looks hot, she is actually just an eighteen-year-old girl. The girl next to her looks younger than her, only about fourteen or fifteen years old, and she has two pigtails.

The little girl Fang'er frowned, looking worried. "That scholar is obviously a bad guy. I still think Brother Ayang is better than him. Brother Ayang likes Sister Jiuhua the most."

The Brother Ayang that Fang'er was talking about was sitting not far from the two of them at this moment. He was a tall man with a strong build and dark skin.

He has a good figure and his facial features are not ugly. He is wearing a coarse vest, with his bare chest exposed, sitting carefree, a typical farmer.

He was chatting with a few friends next to him, and from time to time he turned back to look at me, and his eyes showed that he really liked me.

But Niu Jiuhua didn't like him.

According to the marriage customs of this world, Niu Jiuhua should have been married long ago. The birthmark on her face is ugly, but she is the daughter of the village leader and has such a hot body. Even if she doesn't say it's true, there are definitely men who are interested in her.

But Niu Jiuhua didn't want to.

She even dislikes her own face. She wants to find a good-looking one. She doesn't require the other person to like her much. Her goal is to find a good-looking man and have a good-looking child.

It doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl, but they must be good-looking and must not inherit the scars on her face.

This is the obsession of Miss Niu Jiuhua. This secret is only known by her best sister Fang'er. Well, now there is one more person, Xiao Li.

Although Niu Jiuhua forced herself on the weak man, she was actually quite reliable and sensible in the village.

Her father, Niu Tianhu, was a man of great energy, only able to fight, farm, cook, and embroider...

Well, embroidery.

Xiao Li felt quite strange when he saw Niu Tianhu sitting there with his back hunched, doing something. After all, that action seemed a bit inconsistent with his domineering temperament.

When I flew over, I saw that the person was sewing a quilt with an embroidery needle in her hand, which was as big as a palm fan.

Xiao Li admitted that he was very virtuous, but he was indeed a bit shocking to the eyes.

Niu Jiuhua is responsible for managing all matters big and small in the village, such as the food stored in the warehouse, the distribution of hunted game, and also dealing with disputes among children.

At first glance, they seemed like trivial matters, but she managed them in an orderly, fair, and logical way, which Xiao Li admired very much.

After staying there for two days, Xiao Li had a rough idea of where he was.

She was still in this world, but the place was a little remote, probably at the border between Southern Qi and Northern Cang. The year was unclear at the moment, and she couldn't be sure how long she had been away.

All she had to do now was to rush back to Longsheng and return to her own body.

But what was very desperate was that there was no map, she didn't know where to go, no one could see her, and she couldn't even ask for directions.

But even if the road ahead is long, she has to go on. She can't just keep floating like this.

Xiao Li floated away slowly, not much faster than a firefly.

She floated all the way for almost half an hour. She looked back as if possessed by a ghost, and saw thick smoke billowing from the valley covered by the shade of trees, and there seemed to be faint screams.

What's going on?

For a moment, Xiao Li didn't care that he was still a small dot of light. He floated up the mountain with all his strength, and his speed was more than ten times faster than when he left.

They reached the top of the mountain in a short while and saw soldiers along the way.

Xiao Li knew something big had happened, and when she went up to take a look, it was true.

The officers and soldiers burned and killed people in the village, leaving corpses everywhere.

Because there had been no trouble for many years, the young labor force would go out to rob supplies and would usually go to work in the fields when they came back. Now the village was full of the elderly, the weak, women and children, who had no power to fight back at all.

"Please, let us go."

"Please."

The old woman knelt on the ground holding her grandson and begged bitterly, but the butcher knife fell without any mercy.

"Fang'er!"

Xiao Li heard Niu Jiuhua's shrill cry and turned around. Not far in front of her, Fang'er was slashed on the back by a soldier and fell straight down.
