In an elegantly decorated mansion, two figures sat facing each other. The wind blew up the gauze curtain, outlining their graceful figures.
The woman on the left said proudly, "The Empress has left the palace."
The woman on the right was calm and showed no emotion: "Congratulations, you have achieved your goal."
The woman on the left sneered, "Even today, you still don't recognize me."
"But it doesn't matter anymore. I will prove to you that I am right."
"We are both princesses of the royal family. Whatever Xiao Xuanyang can do, I can do as well."
Woman on the right: "Then I wish you a smooth journey and all your wishes come true."
The woman on the left stood up, picked up the bamboo hat and took a look at it: "After today, I will no longer need this. I will stand before the world with dignity."
She put on a conical hat, and layers of gauze covered her face, but it could not hide the ambition in her eyes.
Watching her stride away, the woman who was sitting there instantly slumped her shoulders. She sat quietly for a moment, then stood up and walked into the house. However, before she had walked less than three feet, two figures appeared in front of her like ghosts.
Without waiting for her to react, he knocked her out and took her away.
The empress left the palace and went to the inn to find Prince Xiqi.
Less than a quarter of an hour after the empress entered the inn, flames shot up into the sky. The entire inn was surrounded by fire and thick smoke.
The silver-armored guards fought hard to put out the fire, and a quarter of an hour later they brought out the empress who was coughing violently from the smoke.
"His Majesty."
Yang Jun helped the empress to the door, and Rong Qing arrived late.
The empress raised her eyes to look at him and angrily shouted, "Why don't you come and carry me up?"
Rong Qing stood at the door, as straight as steel, refusing to bend: "I dare not blaspheme."
Yang Jun coughed violently twice, then bent down and picked the man up: "Your Majesty, you have inhaled a lot of smoke. You must go back and see the imperial physician as soon as possible."
Then he quickly stuffed the people into the carriage and said, "Return to the palace!"
Yang Jun escorted the empress back, while Rong Qing stayed where he was, looking at the fireworks burning in the sky, and slowly drew out his long sword.
The hunt begins.
-----
After the empress got into the carriage and drank a few sips of tea, her coughing stopped. As she entered the palace gate, she cursed, "These traitors are so arrogant. They actually dared to attack me. Go, bring Song Junzhan to me."
Yang Jun raised his hand, and someone immediately responded, "As you wish."
Yang Jun followed the empress's steps closely, watching her walk back to the bedroom from the alley with great momentum.
Just as she was about to push open the bedroom door, Yang Jun suddenly spoke: "Princess Wenshan."
The person in front subconsciously turned around.
When she saw Yang Jun's smiling face, her heart trembled. It was over!
“KANG!”
Two sharp steel knives were placed on her neck, leaving her with no way to escape.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
It was already dark, and the fireworks lit up the night sky, dazzling and brilliant.
The people's attention was attracted by the continuous fireworks in the sky, and they had no time to pay attention to the occasional silver-armored guards rushing past.
In a house hidden deep in the alley, a dark purple figure appeared like a ghost, followed by countless dark shadows behind him.
He climbed over the wall and entered. Tiny screams and groans were heard, but soon there was no movement at all. Only blood slowly seeped out from the crack in the door.
In the valley outside the city, the fire made it as bright as day.
All the houses were set on fire.
During the day, there were women washing clothes and children playing in the village, but now all that jumped out were warriors holding weapons.
"kill!"
The silver-armored guards charged forward, leaving no one alive!
The empress did not allow brothels to exist in the capital, but there were still people who made a living as prostitutes in secret.
Once the outer door is closed, it looks like an ordinary teahouse. The curtains are drawn inside, so you can't see outside. But in fact, the lights are on and the atmosphere is decadent and romantic.
They worked hard to isolate themselves from government scrutiny. Similarly, because this place was too secluded, even if someone broke in, no sound would be heard from outside.
-----
On the city wall, Lu Ling looked up at the fireworks in the sky, and looked down to see the bright lights. Heaven and earth were equally prosperous.
"Your Majesty, why are you here?"
Beside him stood the current Empress, and there was only them and no one else here.
He agreed to help them lure the empress out of the palace and exchange the fake for the real.
But he knew that the Empress would not be lured out so easily, and that those idiots would fail miserably in the end with their self-proclaimed tricks, so he acted half-heartedly, enjoying the feeling of pulling with the Empress.
Finally, the empress arrived.
But before he could make a move, she lit the fire first and took him to the top of the city wall.
The feeling of the empress eloping with him and having only the two of them in the world was so beautiful that for a moment he thought the empress also liked him.
Xiao Li, however, didn't have as many thoughts as him and replied calmly: "Let you die with your eyes closed."
Lu Ling turned to look at her. The fireworks in heaven and on earth were dazzling, but not even half as bright as those of the empress.
However, fireworks have warmth, but the empress is so ruthless that it is chilling.
Lu Ling smiled. His beautiful face was breathtakingly beautiful when he smiled. "I wish you could die with my eyes closed. These are the most beautiful words of love your majesty has ever said to me."
He leaned closer, his eyes only focused on her cold and charming face: "Your Majesty, have you ever been moved?"
Xiao Li didn't need to answer, he already knew the answer.
"I guess no one can truly enter His Majesty's heart, because I am the one who knows His Majesty best, but I am luckier than His Majesty."
He smiled and said, "I was moved. I couldn't help myself. It was hard to contain myself. I was stunned at first sight and I will never regret it."
He covered his heart and said excitedly: "It's beating for you."
Xiao Li did not interrupt him, nor did he react to his confession.
