Chapter 125 Relationship Exposed

The wolfhound beside them had a faint blue light in its eyes, its sharp canines were stained red with blood, and its wide-open mouth was covered with scarlet bloodstains, which gradually meandered to the ground along with the secreted saliva.

Xiao Xin felt inexplicably nauseous, her abdomen contracted violently, and acid reflux churned out.

He threw away his phone, covered his mouth, ran to the toilet, and vomited everything he had in his stomach.

Fu Yan heard the noise from Xiao Xin's room, opened the door, and saw Xiao Xin vomiting.

"Brother! Are you alright..."

He had only taken two steps toward Xiao Xin when Xiao Xin glared at him sideways and said, "Don't come any closer!"

After he finished yelling, he clutched his stomach and started vomiting.

"..." Fu Yan stood there stunned, feeling flustered and at a loss.

Two minutes later, Xiao Xin finished vomiting, leaned against the sink, turned on the tap, and used one hand to scoop up a handful of water to rinse her mouth.

After repeating this twice, he finally turned off the tap and went outside.

Xiao Xin's lips were pale from vomiting, and she looked very unwell.

He lowered his eyes and walked past Fu Yan. Just as Fu Yan reached out to help him, Xiao Xin immediately swept his eyes over coldly: "Don't touch me."

Fu Yan's lips parted slightly, but the words he wanted to say were choked back by his own words, and his hand, which was raised in mid-air, froze instantly.

Seeing that he was stunned, Xiao Xin looked away, wiped the water stains from the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand, and slowly walked towards the bed.

Fu Yan watched Xiao Xin's retreating figure. Just now, he thought he saw... disgust in Xiao Xin's eyes?

Xiao Xin threw off the covers, turned her back to Fu Yan, and curled up on the bed.

Fu Yan's legs were a little numb. He lifted his feet and walked towards Xiao Xin, weakly calling out, "Brother..."

Xiao Xin, with her eyes closed, said, "Get out."

Those two seemingly casual words felt like a pair of hands gripping Fu Yan's throat.

He choked back tears and cried out again, "Brother, what exactly happened to you...?"

Xiao Xin didn't have the energy to get angry, and calmly said, "I don't want to say it a second time."

Fu Yan's breath hitched, and he clenched his fists at his sides. His legs felt like they were filled with lead, numb and devoid of feeling.

He suppressed the stinging in his eyes, took a deep breath, said nothing, and turned to walk slowly toward the door.

"Click—"

The door was closed.

Xiao Xin opened her eyes, and a tear slid down her cheek.

He pulled the blanket up and wrapped himself up tightly.

He felt terrible, not because he was angry, but because he was scared and heartbroken.

In the comments of that post, someone said that the person whose face was maimed by the wolfhound was in that state because he tried to get into Fu Yan's bed, which is why he ended up like that.

A living human life was brutally murdered by a beast, and in the end, the victim didn't even have the right to speak out.

Xiao Xin thought for a while and suddenly realized that she was no different from that person.

The thought that she might be treated so cruelly after Fu Yan regained his memories sent a chill down Xiao Xin's spine.

He gripped the blanket tightly with both hands, tears gradually soaking his pillow.

He seemed to have forgotten that Fu Yan was a cruel person by nature.

Xiao Xin's sympathy for Fu Yan vanished without a trace at this moment.

His mind was in turmoil, and he cried so much that his head ached. He didn't know when he fell asleep, but he felt completely dizzy.

...

In his sleep, he felt something wet on his face, as if something was licking his face.

As soon as Xiao Xin opened his eyes, he was met with a pair of dark blue eyes that gleamed with a fierce light.

He tried to struggle, but the vicious dog suddenly grabbed his throat and bit his left cheek.

The dog swallowed a chunk of flesh from his left cheek. Xiao Xin looked at his hands covered in blood and sat up abruptly in bed.

The house was brightly lit, and there were no more vicious dogs.

Xiao Xin sighed, thankfully it was a false alarm.

He raised his hand and touched the spot on his left cheek; it still seemed to hurt a little.

"Hiss..." He gasped and took out a mirror from the bedside table to look at himself.

There really is a tooth mark.

These teeth marks don't look like a dog bite, so it can only be...

When Xiao Xin thought of this, he felt a mix of emotions, a feeling he couldn't quite describe, but it was definitely very unpleasant.

He put the mirror down and was just about to get out of bed when he saw the light yellow sticky note on the bedside table.

Xiao Xin took it and saw the familiar handwriting: "Brother, you were in a bad mood yesterday, so I turned off your alarm so you could sleep a little longer. I'm sorry, I kissed you while you were sleeping. Breakfast is in the kitchen, please forgive me after you've eaten."

Final words: A banquet to love you.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Xin seemed to remember something, picked up her phone, and checked the time; it was exactly ten o'clock.

It was well past the company's clock-in time.

He covered his face and scratched his hair in frustration.

I crumpled the sticky note into a ball, threw it into the trash can, got up, went to the bathroom to wash up, and changed into some more formal clothes.

A black coat and black pants, paired with black leather shoes.

The simple outfit he wore accentuated his slender figure and exuded elegance.

Xiao Xin didn't have much of an appetite, so he didn't go to the kitchen for breakfast. He picked up his bag and was about to leave when his phone started vibrating.

He closed the door, went downstairs, and casually turned on his constantly vibrating phone.

It was an unfamiliar number.

Xiao Xin put the phone to his ear: "Hello?"

A male voice came through the receiver: "Hello, is this Mr. Xiao? I'm a doctor from X Hospital. Something has happened to your father. Please come to the hospital as soon as possible!"

"What happened?"

Xiao Xin asked the question while quickening her pace downstairs.

"Ah—" came a brief exclamation from the phone, followed by a busy signal.

Xiao Xin stared at the phone that had been hung up, her temples throbbing, a strange unease creeping into her heart.
