Chapter 127 They Broke Up

Xiao Xin choked up, gritted his teeth, but couldn't squeeze out a single word.

He felt a tightness in his chest, his eyes began to redden, and after taking a deep breath, he slowly said, "I want you to die."

Jiang Yuqing laughed instead of getting angry, "The Fu family is in complete chaos right now, how long can you expect to stay peaceful with him?"

“You really did those things…” Xiao Xin’s voice trembled.

“That’s right, it’s me,” Jiang Yuqing admitted. “If you don’t let go, I will make everyone around you leave you one by one, abandon you, and in the end you will have no one to rely on, nowhere to go, and die alone. How does that sound?”

Xiao Xin snorted coldly: "Then why don't you just kill me?"

Jiang Yuqing swirled the red wine in her glass and said slowly, "I've said it before, I love watching people struggle in their death throes, powerless to resist..."

Xiao Xin: "..."

"However, I can give you another chance to choose..."

Jiang Yuqing slowly poured the red wine from her glass onto the ground, and said in a deep, deliberate voice, "Will you obey me, or defy me?"

Xiao Xin slammed his hand on the steering wheel, and the car emitted a low hum.

He lowered his head, clenched his fingers, and then suddenly laughed in anger.

Xiao Xin composed himself and said calmly, "Let the Fu family go, let Fu Yan go."

Jiang Yuqing laughed: "Why should I?"

Xiao Xin: "I agree to break up with Fu Yan."

Jiang Yuqing's smile froze; he hadn't expected Xiao Xin to agree so quickly...

Xiao Xin covered her mouth, swallowing the bitterness in her throat, and choked back sobs as she repeated, "I promise to break up with Fu Yan, please let him go, let my dad go..."

Jiang Yuqing released the wine glass from her hand, and with a "crack," shards of glass instantly scattered all over the floor.

"It's boring." He chuckled, his eyes suddenly turning sharp.

Xiao Xin wept silently. Hearing Jiang Yuqing's words, he asked in a hoarse voice, "What do you mean?"

Jiang Yuqing laughed again: "How about giving Fu Yan to me?"

Xiao Xin dug her fingertips into her flesh: "You don't need to ask me about this kind of thing."

Jiang Yuqing: "Okay, I'll wait for your good news."

He hung up the phone.

A busy signal came from the phone. Xiao Xin stared at her phone, her eyes stinging.

He wiped his sore eyes, just as Fu Yan called.

Xiao Xin answered the call with trembling fingers.

"Brother, who were you talking to on the phone just now?"

Fu Yan's excited voice came through the receiver.

Xiao Xin composed herself and tried to remain calm: "Where are you now?"

Looking at the studio that was beginning to take shape, Fu Yan's eyes were full of a smug smile. He held up his phone and said to Xiao Xin, "Brother, I sent you an address. Come pick me up."

Xiao Xin checked the location and said, "Okay, wait."

...

Twenty minutes later, Xiao Xin followed the navigation and drove to his destination.

He parked his car on the side of the road, got out, and looked around.

This is a quiet old street lined with houses, and each household has green plants on its windowsill. The sunlight shining on them is pleasing to the eye.

Xiao Xin walked along the roadside and found the place Fu Yan had mentioned. He checked the house number and knocked on the door.

The door was quickly opened, and Fu Yan stood by the door with a smile, covering his eyes with his hands: "Brother, come in, I have a surprise for you."

Xiao Xin was blindfolded and allowed Fu Yan to push him into the house.

Fu Yan led him to the center of the house and let go of his hand.

Seeing that Xiao Xin's eyes were closed, he leaned close to Xiao Xin's ear and whispered, "Brother, open your eyes."

Xiao Xin opened her eyes and saw a window with a square table below it. The walls around her were warm yellow, creating a cozy atmosphere.

The house was of average size, with various musical instruments placed around it. There weren't many, but Xiao Xin could tell at a glance that the brands were very expensive.

Xiao Xin wondered what was going on and couldn't help but ask, "This is..."

Fu Yan wrapped his arms around his waist from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder: "This is the studio I'm giving to you, brother. You can write and compose songs here from now on, without having to work overtime so hard, and I can see you anytime..."

Xiao Xin's throat tightened. "So you've been busy with this all this time?"

Fu Yan nodded, his thin lips gently brushing against his earlobe: "Do you like it, brother?"

Xiao Xin felt a pang of bitterness in his heart.

He fought back tears and quickly wiped away the moisture from the corners of his eyes.

Seeing that his eyes were red, Fu Yan assumed it was because he was moved and chuckled in his ear, "Brother, you didn't cry because I moved you, did you?"

Xiao Xin pulled his hand away from her waist, turned around and met Fu Yan's bright eyes, and suddenly felt a little guilty.

He lowered his head and said softly, "Fu Yan, let's break up."

Fu Yan's smile froze for a second, then he said, "Brother, you just said..."

Xiao Xin suddenly looked up into his eyes, her tone firm: "I said let's break up!"

The light in Fu Yan's eyes dimmed instantly, the smile on his lips gradually turned into a straight line, and the smile on his face was replaced by shock and fear.

The atmosphere remained tense for two seconds before Fu Yan's eyes suddenly reddened.

He held Xiao Xin's hand, a forced smile on his lips, his voice trembling: "Brother, what are you saying? Have you been under too much pressure lately and haven't been getting enough rest..."

Xiao Xin pulled her hand away, looked away, and said, looking down at the side, "I'm not joking."

Fu Yan: "..."

He stood there stunned for a moment, then suddenly grabbed Xiao Xin's hand and started walking out, muttering, "Brother must be tired. Let's go home, get some sleep, and he'll be fine..."

"Brother is definitely talking nonsense."

Xiao Xin stood still, broke free from Fu Yan's hand again, and shouted at his back, "Fu Yan! Calm down!"

Fu Yan paused, his body stiffening.

He took a deep breath and turned to look at Xiao Xin: "Brother...why did you suddenly say something like that?"
