Chapter 55 I Want to Go Home with My Brother

Xiao Xin rolled down the car window and gave him a sidelong glance: "Wait here, I'll go park the car."

Fu Yan said "Oh," and took a step back with his head down.

Xiao Xin closed the car window and followed the old man into the garage.

Xiao Xin parked his car in the garage, got out, and then strolled around the garage with the old man for a few more minutes.

After getting familiar with the garage, Xiao Xin discovered that there were more than thirty luxury cars parked inside.

Xiao Xin couldn't recognize the names, but he could still spot a few globally limited edition supercars.

The kind of person he'd only ever seen online.

After marveling once again at how rich Yu Muqing was, he suddenly remembered the mountain of debt Wang Lili had left him.

Compared to this, Xiao Xin felt a pang of sadness, and at the same time, she was also a little jealous of Fu Yan.

He wouldn't acknowledge his own brother, but instead accepted this fake one...

Xiao Xin walked out of the garage, just about to hitch a ride on the old man's electric scooter, when she realized that Fu Yan was still standing at the door.

He tossed the car keys into Fu Yan's arms and pointed to the villa gate: "Go in, what are you standing there for?"

Fu Yan panicked and quickly grabbed Xiao Xin's hand: "Brother, aren't you coming in with me?"

Xiao Xin pried his hands away: "This is your home, not mine. I want to go back to my own home."

Fu Yan paused, then lowered his head and didn't respond.

Seeing that a servant came out to meet Fu Yan, Xiao Xin, holding the documents in her hand, turned around and prepared to get on the old man's electric scooter.

He had just turned around when the hem of his clothes was suddenly grabbed by a strong force.

Xiao Xin turned around and gave him a questioning look.

Fu Yan blinked pitifully, her eyes red, and said, "Brother... I want to go back to your home with you."

Xiao Xin frowned: "?"

Seeing that he was hesitant to get on the bus, the old man asked, "Young man, are you still going or not?"

Xiao Xin remembered the route here after just one visit; he just wanted to hitch a ride with the old man.

But now it seems that he has to deal with Fu Yan, this big problem, before he can leave.

Xiao Xin withdrew his foot, which was about to step onto the car, and waved helplessly at the old man.

The old man understood what he meant, straightened the vehicle, and pedaled away on his electric scooter.

Xiao Xin glanced at the back of the electric scooter with a hint of regret; it seemed his leg was going to suffer.

This neighborhood is huge. It was fine when he was driving, but if he walked it at his snail's pace, it would take him at least half an hour.

Seeing him staring blankly at the electric scooter, Fu Yan tugged at Xiao Xin's clothes and shook it again: "Brother, can we...?"

Could you... please?

His voice trailed off with a slightly coquettish tone, which reached Xiao Xin's ears, making the back of Xiao Xin's head go numb.

He clenched his fist at his side and glanced at Fu Yan, whose skin was delicate and tender.

This appearance clearly shows that she was pampered and spoiled; how could she possibly live a life of poverty like Xiao Xin's?

Xiao Xin refused without hesitation: "No, you can't come with me."

In a moment of panic, Fu Yan wrapped his arms around Xiao Xin's waist, pulled him into his embrace, and nestled against his neck, pouting, "But you promised you wouldn't abandon me..."

Xiao Xin clenched her fists tighter and tighter, suppressing the urge to kick Fu Yan away, and gritted her teeth, saying, "I'm just going back to my own home for now, not abandoning you..."

Fu Yan hugged him and continued to throw a tantrum: "I don't care, either let me go home with you, or live here with me."

He just wanted to be with Xiao Xin, it didn't matter where they were.

Xiao Xin took a deep breath, regaining a sliver of her remaining sanity: "Are you sure you want to come home with me?"

He's very tired and just wants to find a pillow and fall asleep.

Fu Yan buried her face in his neck and nodded: "Yes, I want to go home with my brother."

Xiao Xin thought for a moment. Since Yu Muqing said that Fu Yan was now under his control, he didn't bother to think too much about it. He said to Fu Yan, "Okay, you said it yourself. Don't regret it later."

He thought to himself, "This young master used to being waited on hand and foot. When he can't stand it anymore, he'll definitely give up and run back."

Fu Yan released Xiao Xin and gave her a smile: "Yeah, no regrets."

Xiao Xin glanced at him indifferently, took the black bag from his hand, and said to the maid beside him, "Young Master will stay with me for the next few days. When President Yu asks, just say he's with me."

Yu Muqing had already greeted the servants in the villa, so she naturally recognized Xiao Xin and Fu Yan.

The maid nodded: "Yes, sir."

After saying that, he turned and left.

Xiao Xin shifted her gaze back to Fu Yan's face, glancing at his hand resting on her shoulder: "Didn't you say I smelled bad and wouldn't let me touch you?"

Fu Yan sensed his sarcastic tone, released Xiao Xin's shoulder, and instead took Xiao Xin's right hand with his left hand, lowering his eyes in a coquettish manner: "No, I don't smell bad, I smell the best."

It's okay that it smells bad now; he'll give Xiao Xin a nice bath when he gets home.

Looking at him like that, anyone who didn't know better would think he was leading a young bride.

His guard against Fu Yan had been almost completely eroded by Fu Yan's foolish behavior.

Xiao Xin didn't break free from his hand, letting him pull her along as she turned and walked towards the garage.

Fu Yan consciously stopped talking; he could also sense Xiao Xin's exhaustion.

He knew that Xiao Xin had been taking care of him these past few days and was very tired. She would roll off the sofa and onto the floor every night, so she definitely hadn't been getting enough rest.

But Xiao Xin wouldn't sleep with him, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Seeing how tired Xiao Xin had been these past few days, Fu Yan decided that he would take good care of Xiao Xin in the days to come.

…

Xiao Xin drove to Rose Street, but couldn't find a suitable parking space for a long time.

Xiao Xin simply drove straight to the noodle shop owned by the same proprietress from last time, intending to ask her for directions and also take Fu Yan out for lunch.
