Chapter 77 Brother, open the door

A low, cool voice, laced with an ambiguous warmth, lingered in his ear, causing Yu Muqing to shiver involuntarily, forcing out a single word: "You..."

Qiao Chen chuckled: "Yes, I do have other feelings for you."

He released his right hand from Yu Muqing's waist, slightly lifted Yu Muqing's chin, and looked into those indifferent peach blossom eyes.

"Ever since I first fell in love, I've been thinking about how to make Qingqing my possession. Do you know how frantic I feel every time I see you gazing at Fu Yan more than at me?"

Yu Muqing swallowed slightly, pursed her lips, and gritted her teeth as she muttered, "Shameless!"

He originally thought Qiao Chen hated him, but he never expected that Qiao Chen harbored such feelings for him.

Qiao Chen's words not only failed to change his opinion of Qiao Chen, but even disgusted him.

He couldn't accept that his former nemesis had suddenly become the object of his secret crush. What's more, what Qiao Chen saw in him wasn't liking, but rather possessiveness—a twisted, obsessive possessiveness.

By now, Yu Muqing had concluded in her mind that the news report was published by Qiao Chen.

For Fu Yan's sake, Yu Muqing held back the profanity that was about to escape her lips and said, "Take down the news and let Fu Yan go..."

Qiao Chen paused for a moment, then smiled meaningfully.

“Okay,” he said, “but I have one condition…”

Qiao Chen's playful gaze carried an aggressive undertone, slowly torturing Mu Qing inch by inch.

He slightly bent his index finger, the icy fingertip like a sharp knife tip, and slowly moved down from Yu Muqing's burning collar through the shirt, landing in front of the buckle on Yu Muqing's belt.

He hooked his index finger around the buckle and pulled it slightly towards himself, looking at Yu Muqing with a half-smile: "Mr. Yu, use your favorite position to stay with me for one night, and I'll leave, how about it?"

One sentence made Yu Muqing laugh in anger. He tilted his head and smiled, "What, you want me to *you*?"

Although he was skilled at manipulating things, it just felt a little strange to have him playing with Qiao Chen.

Qiao Chen's eyes turned cold as he reached out and tightly embraced Yu Muqing's waist, pulling him towards him.

He buried his face in Mu Qing's neck, his tone ambiguous: "It was me who went first, and you..."

Before the word "down" could even be uttered, Yu Muqing immediately interrupted, "Impossible, I would never be the one below."

Qiao Chen's smile froze as his phone rang at an inopportune moment.

Left with no other choice, he had to let go of Yu Muqing and reach into his pocket for his phone.

Yu Muqing immediately took a step back, rubbing her wrist which had been pinched red, and looked at Qiao Chen with a resentful gaze.

Qiao Chen glanced at his phone, picked up his glasses from the ground, put them on, and opened the door to leave: "Excuse me, I have something to attend to, please excuse me."

Yu Muqing quickly called out to him from behind: "That news..."

Qiao Chen paused, turned around and looked at Yu Muqing: "I didn't do the report."

Regardless of whether Yu Muqing believed him or not, he stopped explaining and strode deeper into the corridor.

Yu Muqing was completely confused; the report wasn't done by Qiao Chen...

Was Qiao Chen deliberately testing him just now?

A sudden feeling of annoyance rose in Yu Muqing's heart, and a small flame of frustration flickered within her.

This was the first time he had ever been treated like this.

"Damn it..." Yu Muqing, who was usually calm and composed, couldn't help but swear.

Xiao Xin waited in the car for almost two hours before receiving a call from Yu Muqing.

"Hello, Mr. Yu?"

"You don't need to worry about the news for now. Just take good care of Fu Yan." Yu Muqing's voice came through the receiver, tinged with anger.

It seems the news really made Yu Muqing very angry, Xiao Xin thought.

"Okay, Mr. Yu." Xiao Xin's voice softened unconsciously, afraid of angering him again.

Yu Muqing sighed and asked Xiao Xin, "How is Xiao Yan doing lately?"

“He’s fine,” Xiao Xin replied quickly.

"And what about you?" Yu Muqing asked again.

Xiao Xin was confused: "What about me?"

Yu Muqing: "Didn't you two want to strangle each other before? Why are you calling me 'Xiao Yan' in your messages just now?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xin quickly glanced at the message he had just sent to Yu Muqing.

That's true.

He put the phone to his ear again and explained, "It was just a subconscious reaction..."

"Alright, you don't need to explain. It's obvious that your relationship has improved. You've had a tough time these past few days, Xiao Xin."

The words of gratitude came out without Yu Muqing feeling awkward; showing consideration for his employees was something he had always been happy to do.

Xiao Xin hummed in agreement and said politely, "It's nothing, Mr. Yu."

What he really wanted to say was: It's not hard work, it's just bad luck.

The two didn't exchange any more pleasantries. Xiao Xin saw that Fu Yan would finish class in two hours, so he simply waited for Fu Yan in the car.

He played with his phone for a while, then casually opened his WeChat Moments to take a look.

The first post on my WeChat Moments was from that junior student named Feng Xiaoxiao, a link to a WeChat official account.

Caption: Don't miss it! The 20th Anniversary Celebration of the School of Music! Handsome guys and beautiful girls from all departments will be gathered together. Everyone is welcome to come and join the fun!

Xiao Xin involuntarily clicked on the link and saw familiar classrooms and the college auditorium, stirring up long-forgotten memories.

When Xiao Xin was still in school, he was always the first person the college would bring out to represent them because of his excellent grades and good looks.

He was quite happy to participate in these activities, as it earned him extra credits and a little extra money.

Some events offer prize money, and Xiao Xin usually comes in first place.

Once, the music academy held an event that required two participants. People from all departments could sign up, and Xiao Xin's first thought was He Yunzhou.
