Chapter 34 He's totally dead.

Fu Yan cursed under his breath and used his hands to support himself as he stood up from the ground.

But before he could even stand up straight, he was kicked hard from behind, and then lost his balance, falling to the ground again.

Fu Yan's face rubbed against the cement floor, the fine sand chafing his skin until it was raw, and a sharp pain shot through his face.

The tinnitus in my ears worsened, and my vision began to blur.

The man stood behind him, holding an iron rod, a sinister smile playing on his lips: "Sorry, brother, I'm just doing my job for the money. Your mom told me to leave you alive!"

As he spoke, he raised the iron rod in his hand and smashed it hard against the back of Fu Yan's head.

"Uh..." Fu Yan groaned, his head, which had been suspended in mid-air, paused for a moment, and then he slammed his face down heavily to the ground.

Blood flowed down the back of his head and spread to the ground, covering the ground in less than three minutes.

Fu Yan's entire face was submerged in dark red blood, making him look terrifying.

The man nudged Fu Yan with his toe, and seeing that he no longer moved, he took a picture with satisfaction and sent it to Wang Lili.

Then he turned around, picked up the iron rod, and left.

...

As Xiao Xin poured wine for the guests, her eyelids twitched involuntarily, and she felt uneasy.

He didn't know why he felt this way, but he had a feeling that something was going to happen.

The guest, who was lost in thought as he poured the wine, quickly grabbed his wrist just before the wine was about to overflow, took the bottle from his hand, and gently placed it on the coffee table.

Xiao Xin looked at his empty hand, then came to his senses, lowered his head and said, "Sorry."

The man didn't say anything, picked up his glass, took a sip of wine, and asked him sideways, "Something on your mind?"

Even with bandages wrapped around his head, Xiao Xin's good looks remained unaffected; in fact, the bandages added a unique, broken beauty to his face.

Extremely appealing to men.

Looking at the man's meaningful smile, Xiao Xin felt a dryness in his throat. He took a sip of his own wine and whispered, "No."

The cool liquid calmed my agitation.

Xiao Xin glanced at the people in the private room; they were all playing games and making noise, some of them had almost taken their shirts off.

Compared to the desolation on Xiao Xin's side, it was as if everyone else was in a completely different world.

The crucial point is that this private room is full of men...

When Xiao Xin wasn't smiling, her demeanor became much more aloof, like a high-mountain flower blooming in the shadows, waiting to be plucked and eaten...

Men are particularly attracted to his type, and his eyes were glued to Xiao Xin's face.

Xiao Xin knew all of this, which was why he deliberately acted aloof—because the man next to him liked it.

If he doesn't act, no one will choose him.

Without me noticing, a hand appeared around my waist.

Xiao Xin looked down and saw that the man's hand had already wrapped around his waist. He tensed up and felt a strange sense of nausea.

Just as he was pondering how to break the deadlock naturally, his cell phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket.

Xiao Xin took out her phone, casually removed the man's hand from her waist, pointed to the phone, and said with a smile, "I'll go answer this call first?"

The man was stunned, not expecting him to look even better when he smiled. He nodded blankly and said, "Go ahead."

Xiao Xin managed to escape, but as she got up and walked towards the door, her smile vanished in an instant.

He stared blankly at his incessantly ringing phone.

It was Wang Lili calling.

After the phone rang twice without being answered, it went silent for a few seconds.

Just when Xiao Xin thought the matter was over, Wang Lili sent two more text messages.

Xiao Xin opened the message; it contained a picture and a text message.

"Looks like you're really dead. If you don't send me the money soon, you can keep waiting."

Xiao Xin glanced at the text expressionlessly, then clicked on the image.

The image shows the back of a man lying in a pool of blood.

Xiao Xin felt a chill run down his spine when he saw the blood, and his finger trembled slightly as he tapped the screen.

The figure looked familiar, but he couldn't immediately recognize who it was.

The man was wearing a black shirt, and his back view did resemble his, but his shoulders were clearly much broader.

Xiao Xin was baffled by the two messages, muttered "crazy," and then put his phone in his pocket and left.

He didn't plan to go back to the private room. After asking the manager for leave, he planned to go back and get some sleep.

Xiao Xin's head injury hadn't healed yet, so he wasn't in a hurry to go to work. He was thinking of taking the day off tomorrow to buy some furniture and find a better hospital for his father.

...

Xiao Xin didn't take a taxi home; he strolled back leisurely. When he reached the alley entrance, he took out his phone and turned on the flashlight.

After winding his way to his front door, Xiao Xin bent down to take out his keys when a black cat suddenly ran past him, meowing.

Xiao Xin was startled, and the key accidentally fell to the ground.

He bent down to pick up the keys, and when he looked up again, his gaze was drawn to a pool of blood not far away.

There was a faint smell of blood in the air.

For some reason, Xiao Xin thought of the picture that Wang Lili had sent him.

The man lying in a pool of blood...

Xiao Xin frowned, his heart inexplicably racing. Driven by curiosity, he tiptoed toward the bloodstains.

The closer they got to their target, the stronger the smell of blood became.

When Xiao Xin's phone swayed towards the man's back, she couldn't help but let her hand tremble slightly.

A large pool of blood was visible beneath the man's head, some of which had already dried. The blood trickled down to the trash can opposite him, and a rustling vibration could be heard coming from inside the trash can.

Xiao Xin picked up her phone and shone the light on it, discovering it was a litter of black kittens.
