Ni Yueshan looked calm, even a little indifferent. She looked at him without fear. Zou Yangyao sat down on the bed again.
"Detoxify this general!"
Ni Yueshan chuckled in a stern tone, as if giving an order. "If it's not poisonous, how can it be cured? General, you're allergic! The allergen might have come from me. I've been in contact with a lot of small hairs today, and I must have accidentally dropped some on the bed when I was wiping you down!"
"Where did this little Maomao come from!" Zou Yangyao stared with his eyes wide open, full of anger.
Ni Yueshan said proudly: "It's the oleander, which is mainly used to treat joint rheumatic pain and injuries from falls!"
"You are so boring!" Zou Yangyao's face turned ashen with anger and he was extremely resentful, but he still felt very itchy. Finally, he got out of bed in anger and walked out.
Ni Yueshan watched him leave with a smile on his face.
Jing Yuchen looked at Ni Yueshan with admiration: "Not bad, you've only been helping for a few days, and you already understand some pharmacology!"
"No way! Seeing the little hairy thing reminds me of the hair on a peach tree. It must be so uncomfortable if it falls on you!"
Ni Yueshan shuddered, then walked closer to Jing Yuchen. "What mission did the emperor give you? Tell us. Let's finish it quickly and go back quickly, so that Zou Yangyao won't be annoying here."
"Three months of hard training to find those who abuse their power..."
Ni Yueshan was surprised: "Isn't Zou Yangyao..."
Jing Yuchen chuckled softly: "If Zou Yangyao knew that you thought about him in everything, he would definitely be very touched."
Ni Yueshan rolled her eyes at Jing Yuchen and said, "You're injured like this, and you still smile. Take good care of yourself."
Ni Yueshan stood up and walked out. Jing Yuchen immediately asked, "Where are you going?"
"There's so much work to do, so of course I have to get busy!"
After Zou Yangyao was bullied by Ni Yueshan, he stopped pretending to be sick. Ni Yueshan spent all the remaining time taking care of Jing Yuchen.
A few days later, Jing Yuchen's injuries had improved a lot and he could get out of bed, but he could not do difficult movements.
It was a rare sunny day, so Ni Yueshan stood by to dry his quilt, and then hurried to check the medicine in the medicine jar.
Jing Yuchen watched Ni Yueshan busying around and felt inexplicably happy.
"Don't just watch me busy, pour me a glass of water!" Ni Yueshan turned his head to look at Jing Yuchen, always feeling that this kid was laughing for no reason.
Jing Yuchen reacted, "I understand!"
He moved carefully and poured water for Ni Yueshan. Ni Yueshan took the time to drink a sip and continued to be busy.
Jing Yuchen was peeling an orange beside her. After peeling it, he slowly walked up to Ni Yueshan and put it next to her mouth.
Ni Yueshan looked at Jing Yuchen in surprise: "Where did the oranges come from?"
"It's brought by the breeze."
He did not forget to put one in his mouth. He had never tasted an orange so sweet.
A military doctor came over from a distance and saw the two people behaving intimately, with a flash of surprise in his eyes.
Jing Yuchen and Ni Yueshan quickly distanced themselves and started to busy themselves with their own things.
"Commander Chen, I see you've recovered well. Why don't you move to your own tent and stop taking up a bed here?"
Jing Yuchen's face darkened. He moved closer to the military doctor and said, "I feel comfortable having Brother Shan taking care of me here. You are Brother Shan's master, so you are naturally my elder. I have a dozen taels of silver here. It's not much, but I can still give you a drink!"
He stuffed it into the military doctor's hand, raised his eyebrows slightly, as if offering a bribe...
The military doctor looked at the purse, his eyes shining slightly. He reached out to take it and stuffed it into his sleeve easily.
"You can stay as long as you want!"
His expression changed very quickly, and he glanced at Ni Yueshan with a smile: "Take good care of your brother! Don't be lazy!"
After that, he happily took the money and left.
Not far away, two men were watching the situation. The man standing next to Zou Yangyao couldn't help but ask, "General, the two of them are acting so intimately. There's obviously something wrong. If we don't separate them, wouldn't that be immoral?"
Zou Yangyao glanced at the person who spoke and said, "You have good judgment. You know it's immoral, but you don't do anything about it? Are you waiting for me to handle this matter?"
Commander Qin showed an understanding expression, "General, wait and see!"
Zou Yangyao said nothing and walked away.
In the afternoon, Commander Qin walked towards Ni Yueshan and pointed at her: "Come here!"
Ni Yueshan and Jing Yuchen looked at each other, then walked towards Commander Qin.
Commander Qin prompted, "Pack some medicine and bandages for external injuries, and follow me!"
Ni Yueshan hesitated: "But, there are so many bottles of medicine here that I need to look after them."
"Someone will come to see us, follow me!" Commander Qin did not give Ni Yueshan any chance to refute and walked away.
Ni Yueshan looked at Jing Yuchen helplessly and said, "Find a way to kill time and wait for me to come back!"
Jing Yuchen was unhappy that a small commander had ruined his good time.
When Ni Yueshan arrived at the place, he found it was a vast open space. A hundred meters away, there were rows of men standing. They were wearing uniform white prison uniforms, their hair was loose and messy, their faces were covered with dirt, and they had chains on their hands and feet. They were obviously prisoners.
Ni Yueshan's eyes flashed with surprise, and he asked, "Why are prisoners in the barracks?"
"These are all death row prisoners from the nearby government offices. We've captured them today to serve as targets. However, if they've sustained external injuries but aren't dead, you'll be responsible for their first aid. If they've been shot by a fatal arrow, you can leave them alone!"
Commander Qin spoke nonchalantly as he picked up arrows and bows and distributed them to the soldiers.
A hundred meters away, there was a row of prisoners standing. Although the battle had not started yet, their legs were already shaking with fear.
