Chapter 349 Tell Him the Truth

Before she reached the bed, a gust of wind suddenly blew in the room, blowing the candles to flicker. Duan Gouqiong looked back suspiciously, but saw a person appear in front of her.

The man in front of her had a gloomy face, holding a dagger against her neck. Duan Gouqiong immediately begged for mercy: "Second, Second Prince, the way you came in was really unusual. And why are you holding a dagger against me?"

Jing Yuchen narrowed his narrow phoenix eyes slightly, and there was a hint of sharpness in his eyes as he looked at her.

"Why do you refuse to see this prince?"

Duan Gouqiong smiled softly: "It's not me who refuses to see you, it's the envoy who's causing trouble, right?"

Jing Yuchen didn't let her go just because of her innocent look. He stared at her coldly and asked, "Do you know that the emperor has already issued an order to marry us?"

His dagger came closer, sharper, and closer to her, piercing her neck and causing pain.

Duan Gouqiong's pupils shrank sharply, and she begged for mercy: "Second Prince, please don't be angry. I, I know, but what's the use of me knowing? You and I are the same, neither of us can control our own destiny!"

"Humph, do you think this prince is a fool?"

Duan Gouqiong bit her lip and said nothing. Jing Yuchen reached out and pressed Duan Gouqiong's acupoints, then took away the dagger and distanced themselves from each other.

Even though Duan Gouqiong was pretty, cute and charming at this moment, his gaze fell on Duan Gouqiong coldly, without any trace of sympathy for her.

Jing Yuchen sat down beside him, his thick eyebrows knitted tightly together. "Tell me, if you don't like this prince, why did you agree to the marriage? What on earth are you planning?"

Duan Gouqiong pouted in grievance: "Alas, I originally wanted to tell you when the matter was finalized, to give you a surprise, but now it seems that forget it, I will tell you my plan in advance."

Jing Yuchen's brows were still furrowed, and he looked at her with doubt in his eyes, questioning the truthfulness of her words.

It was already the middle of the night when Jing Yuchen left the palace. He flew to the restaurant. Ni Yueshan was still sleeping comfortably on the bed, even snoring a little.

Jing Yuchen walked over and sat down beside her. Looking at her sleeping face, he couldn't bear to wake her up.

I stayed by his side and fell asleep.

When Ni Yueshan woke up, she found herself sleeping in the restaurant. She turned around and saw no one around.

While I was still hesitating, I heard the sound of the door being pushed open, and Jing Yuchen, dressed in a dark red robe, walked in slowly.

"How are you feeling? Any headache?"

Jing Yuchen was holding a tray with several dishes on it. Ni Yueshan smelled the aroma of millet porridge and asked with a smile, "Why did you bring it in? Did you make it yourself?"

"Ahem, does this prince look like someone who can cook?"

"Like, in my eyes, you can do anything!"

Jing Yuchen looked at Ni Yueshan awkwardly: "Such compliments make me feel really flustered."

He put down the tray and served the food. Ni Yueshan got off the bed and took a look.

The light porridge, served with green vegetables and beef patties, smelled quite delicious to her as she was hungry.

Ni Yueshan went to the side to rinse her mouth. Jing Yuchen asked, "You don't have a headache, do you? Are you feeling well?"

"Don't worry, it's no headache."

After the two sat down, they didn't talk about what happened yesterday and just ate breakfast happily.

After finishing the meal, Ni Yueshan rubbed her stomach comfortably and looked at Jing Yuchen, moving closer: "I'm curious, where did you rest when I fell asleep yesterday?"

Jing Yuchen frowned slightly: "Of course it's a restaurant!"

"Where is the restaurant? My room or another room?"

At the beginning of the meal, Ni Yueshan kept silent, but now she spoke to him as if she was interrogating a prisoner.

"Stay by your bed."

"Then... the emperor has already granted the marriage, and you need to prepare for the wedding. I won't be returning to the prince's mansion, right?"

Jing Yuchen frowned slightly, but didn't try to persuade him. He finally replied with one word: "Okay."

Ni Yueshan looked at him with some surprise. Jing Yuchen, who was so easily compromised, was unfamiliar to her.

She held her chin and tapped her face with her fingers, as if trying to figure out whether what Jing Yuchen said was true or false...

"Okay, I'll go find Shao Lecheng. He has a lot of houses there, so it's no problem for me to stay there for a while."

Jing Yuchen nodded: "Okay."

The calmer Jing Yuchen was, the more Ni Yueshan felt that Jing Yuchen might be hiding something from her.

Ni Yueshan was still unsure what Jing Yuchen was planning to hide from her, but since Jing Yuchen didn't tell her, she didn't press him.
