Chapter 264 Looking for Husband

The housekeeper looked at Mingyan in surprise. She was actually pregnant!

Ni Yueshan drank the medicine twice and felt much better. She sat up with an appetite and ate her porridge. Ren Mei stammered beside her, "Miss, Mingyan had an argument with the housekeeper and was pushed to the ground by the housekeeper. She had a miscarriage."

Ni Yueshan looked at Ren Mei in surprise: "The child is gone? What about the adults?"

"My Lord, if you take good care of yourself, you'll be fine."

Ni Yueshan felt relieved and continued to eat porridge.

Ren Mei couldn't help but say, "The general's wife invited you to a teahouse."

Ni Yueshan dropped the spoon in his hand and picked up the handkerchief beside him to wipe his mouth: "No."

"But the servant who delivered the message specifically reminded me that this matter concerns the Second Prince's whereabouts..."

What could Ni Yingying know? Was it Zou Yangyao who came to see her under Ni Yingying's name this time?

Ni Yueshan raised her lips slightly: "When will we meet?"

"Tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay, I'll go to the appointment tomorrow."

Ni Yueshan lay down to rest, and Ren Mei retreated.

The next day, after noon, Ni Yueshan went to visit Mingyan. Mingyan didn't seem to care much about the lost child, but her face was weak and pale, which made people feel sorry for her.

"Take good care of her. When you meet a good man in the future, you can give birth to children for him."

Mingyan nodded, Ni Yueshan said a few other words, then stood up and left.

Ni Yueshan walked into the teahouse and saw Zou Yangyao making tea. The aroma of tea hit her in the face, which was very refreshing.

Ni Yueshan was not surprised at all that Ni Yingying was not there.

"How did you find out the whereabouts of the second prince?" Ni Yueshan asked curiously.

Zou Yangyao began to pour tea for Ni Yueshan: "As a general, you should have qualities that others cannot compare to."

Ni Yueshan picked up the tea in front of him and sniffed it gently. The aroma of tea was so strong that Ni Yueshan took a sip without hesitation.

"Appoint me to tell me the whereabouts of the Second Prince?"

"Yes, I just hope that if I do more, you will have less prejudice against me."

Ni Yueshan looked at him with complicated eyes, "Then please tell me directly, where is the Second Prince?"

Zou Yangyao's expression gradually darkened. "A military camp outside the city."

"What was he going there for? Training troops under orders?"

"Wrong, it's experience. He is the most basic soldier."

Ni Yueshan was surprised. Why did the emperor let his son be a soldier at the lowest level?

"Thank you." Ni Yueshan stood up and walked out.

Zou Yangyao immediately stopped him: "Aren't you curious why I'm telling you this?"

"There's nothing to be curious about, it's just that you want to change."

Ni Yueshan turned around and looked at Zou Yangyao, "But some people cannot be forgiven for the mistakes they made in the past."

Afterwards, Ni Yueshan opened the door and walked out.

After she left, she turned and went to Yu Mansion.

Ni Yueshan knocked on the door for a long time but no one answered, so she went to the construction site. Yu Fei was sitting under the awning drinking tea, and Shao Lecheng was sitting on a chair with a pot of wine beside him. From time to time, he put one or two peanuts into his mouth and chewed them, looking very comfortable.

Ni Yueshan walked towards the two of them and said, "Why do I feel like you two are really enjoying yourself?"

Shao Lecheng looked Ni Yueshan up and down and said, "I heard that you seemed to be sick. Why did you go out so soon?"

"It's just a little cold, nothing serious."

Yu Fei brought a stool to Ni Yueshan. "Your elder brother was sent out of the capital? He has no chance to return to the Prime Minister's residence unless he passes the imperial examination?"

"That's the case at the moment. However, Ni Yueshuang is in the palace. If she gains great favor, the day of Ni Hongbo's liberation will come."

"As a concubine, it's easy to ruin your reputation, so don't worry about it." Shao Lecheng felt that Ni Yueshuang was not a problem at all.

Ni Yueshan frowned: "Why do I feel like there's something bad going on in your mind..."

"I don't have any other skills, but stealing is my number one skill!"

Ni Yueshan rolled her eyes at Shao Lecheng. He might still be a virgin, why is he bragging here?

Ni Yueshan's expression became more serious. "I'm going to be out of the capital for a few days. You two should take good care of yourselves during this time."

Shao Lecheng immediately became interested: "What are you doing out of the capital? Take me with you?"

Ni Yueshan shook her head: "Perhaps I wouldn't be welcome even if I went, let alone you?"

"...You know you're superfluous, but you still go? When did you start liking to throw yourself at people so much?"

He looked at Ni Yueshan, who seemed to have seen through everything. He snorted softly, "I see. You are going to see the Second Prince, right? Well, if someone doesn't want an eyesore, then I won't go."

His depressed expression caught Ni Yueshan's eyes. Ni Yueshan was in no hurry to explain, but simply said, "Those children are still waiting for you to take care of them. How can you just leave like that?"

Shao Lecheng still had a sour face and showed no sign of calming down.

Ni Yueshan looked at Yu Fei and said, "Take good care of your injuries. When I come back, I hope to see you running and jumping."

Ni Yueshan chatted with the two of them for a while and then returned to the Prime Minister's Mansion. She asked Ren Mei to help her pack her luggage and prepare to go on a long trip for a while. After that, she said goodbye to Ni Gaofei and left the Prime Minister's Mansion with Qingdie the next day.

Qingdie and Ni Yueshan were sitting in the carriage. She asked suspiciously, "Miss, how could you believe Zou Yangyao so easily? He is a cunning man. He deliberately revealed the Second Prince's information to you. Who knows, he might have some hidden secrets."

"The Second Prince didn't tell me where he was. Perhaps it was because the Emperor didn't allow it, or perhaps the situation was too dangerous and he didn't want me to take the risk. I just watched from afar and inquired."
