Chapter 8 Violet "I'm going to kiss you."...

Ji Jiazhen's thoughts wandered, a thousand ideas clashing in his head, but he was a little tipsy and couldn't come up with a conclusion.

Wen Siyu watched her sit there, still on the phone, not saying a word, her hair gleaming under the strobe light. He heard the person next to her on the other end of the line asking her what was wrong, their tone quite concerned, and they were very close. He narrowed his eyes slightly and saw the lipstick mark on the boy's cheek. Then he tilted his head back and drank the whiskey in his glass, the ice cubes clinking against the glass.

bother.

Ji Jiazhen's voice rang in my ears: "Let's talk outside."

He saw her stand up, the phone beep twice before being hung up, walk past the two of them, and head towards the door.

He also stood up, told the people at the card table that he was done playing, and then left the private room.

When Ji Jiazhen said "go out," she meant the bar. He kept a distance and followed behind her. When they reached the bar entrance, an acquaintance greeted him and they bumped shoulders. When he looked up again, he saw her being bumped by a drunk and her figure swaying.

Ji Jiazhen lost his balance and was about to utter a curse when someone caught him from behind.

She turned her head and saw Wen Siyu's arrogant profile, with a sharp jawline and his eyes fixed on the person who bumped into her until that person apologized.

Then he led me to a secluded, dark area, close to where the car was parked.

In the early hours of the morning, the empty space was empty except for the car and the two of them. Ji Jiazhen leaned against the wall, while Wen Siyu stood lazily in front of her, looking down at her. Their toes touched, and the wind whistled between them. A strand of her hair was lifted up and swayed weakly in the wind before finally getting caught on the zipper decoration on his chest.

After a moment of quiet staring at each other, Wen Siyu suddenly blurted out four words: "A man of his word."

Ji Jiazhen's mind went blank. "What did I say?"

"Indecisive and half-hearted".

She immediately exploded upon hearing this, "Who are you talking about?!"

Wen Siyu lowered his body, stretched out one hand to support himself against the wall, and pressed his forearm against her ear, using his absolute height advantage to press down on her.

"They live in my house and drive my car, but then they completely forget about my conditions."

"I didn't..."

"You say you're interested in me, but behind my back you're flirting with five people at once." He pointed at her. "You're really something."

He looked like he was about to fight her.

The cold wind cleared her head a bit, and Ji Jiazhen raised her hand to push his shoulder, "What's with your attitude? Aren't you more interested in me between us?"

"So I deserve to be played and manipulated by you?"

His voice was filled with anger, yet he deliberately suppressed it. His questioning was too urgent, and his eyes were too persistent. So Ji Jiazhen understood: he just wanted a title and an explanation.

Whether or not she gives it to him is entirely up to her.

"You can call it off, then we can end the game amicably. Anyway, you won't lose anything and I won't feel guilty."

Wen Siyu chuckled softly. Backlit, his entire face was in shadow, and the glimmer of light in his eyes seemed particularly cold. "I didn't lose anything?"

Ji Jiazhen noticed a strand of hair tangled around his neck, and slowly hooked it forward with his index finger. "So many people want to stay by my side, what's wrong with paying a price? I only keep those who are obedient..."

He paused for a moment, then Wen Siyu's gaze shifted downwards, landing on her lips where a trace of lipstick still remained.

It's the mottled residue left after touching a wine glass, and also the red mark left after she generously gave kisses to others.

"……dog."

Wen Siyu looked at her smug posture; she was looking up at him with disdain, arrogance, and wildness in her eyes.

He went over those four words in his mind again.

An obedient dog.

She likes it this way.

What constitutes being obedient?

Ji Jiazhen shook his head, a laugh escaping his throat. "You should ask, what kind of dog is considered a dog?"

Wen Siyu remained silent, engaging in a stare contest with her. Ji Jiazhen, too lazy to waste time with him, gave him a hard shove on the shoulder, and he shifted his shoulder to make way for her.

She'd had quite a bit to drink; she was going to have to leave the car here. After taking a couple of steps, she turned back and asked, "Have you been drinking?"

"People like us who don't have flowers and plants around us also have the right to drink at bars."

Coupled with his mocking face, he was incredibly sarcastic and bizarre.

Ji Jiazhen rolled her eyes at him. For the first time in her life, she felt that she had to be careful when she was out having fun, because there might be a pair of eyes watching her all the time.

Thinking of this, she turned back and asked, "Why are you here today?"

Wen Siyu glanced at her: "Gao Peng."

When did you arrive?

“I arrived an hour earlier than you. I’ve been sitting in that spot ever since you entered the private room. There are too many men to look around, right?”

What are the advantages of being young and inexperienced? It means they can't hide their emotions. Their joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness are written all over their faces. You can tell what they're thinking with just a glance or a word, let alone make them lie or hide anything.

Ji Jiazhen was like this in Duan Qiyin's eyes, and Wen Siyu was like this in her eyes as well.

She was still a bit out of her depth dealing with a cunning old fox like Duan Qiyin, but she had Wen Siyu completely under her thumb.

All his accusations and complaints stemmed from jealousy and envy.

He was unhappy.

But Ji Jiazhen was very happy.

She was satisfied with the feeling of being completely in control, and this sense of ease was enough to offset the annoyance she had felt during this period.

She allowed Wen Siyu to act out and to have a bit of a temper, because she preferred an obedient dog with a little personality to a docile one.

"No matter how many men there are, aren't you the only one standing in front of me throwing a tantrum right now?"

These words were meant to give him a way out, and had a hint of coaxing. Wen Siyu could tell that, so he accepted the situation and stopped.

"I'll take a taxi."

Ji Jiazhen put his hands in his coat pockets, stopped talking, and casually looked at the sparsely leafed trees, watching for signs of the wind blowing, waiting for the car to arrive.

After getting into the car, I received a message from Gao Peng asking why she left without anyone with her. She didn't reply and just blacklisted me, saying she'd unblock me when she was in a better mood.

It was 3:30 a.m. The car was winding and turning, and with so much filming these past few days, she hadn't had a good night's sleep. Her eyes were already a little unfocused, and she was very sleepy, but she forced herself to stay awake and tried to talk to Wen Siyu in order to stay awake.

Have you been away from home these past few days?

"Something came up at school, so I went back to my dorm for two days."

Ji Jiazhen raised an eyebrow, turning her head a beat slower than usual. "Aren't you twenty-two? Still haven't graduated from university? Failed some courses and had to extend your studies?"

"I'm a good student."

Ji Jiazhen was skeptical; his face didn't look like that of a good student, but rather like someone who would ruin good students.

"I won't laugh at you just because you're a bad student. I was a bad student too."

Wen Siyu scoffed, "I didn't graduate because I took a two-year leave of absence. There's no need for me to lie to you."

The car was quiet for a few seconds, then Ji Jiazhen said, "Oh, so I'm the only bad student."

Wen Siyu nodded and replied with her own words: "It's okay, I won't laugh at you."

Ji Jiazhen felt it was better not to chat today, so she simply turned her head to look out the window.

The trees along the way flowed past like water, but after watching for less than two minutes, I started to feel sleepy again. My eyelids were drooping, my neck was starting to give way, and I nodded several times.

An arm came across from behind her and pulled her to the right. She squinted at the person on her right, her eye sockets creased with sleep.

"Sleep when you're tired."

She leaned on his shoulder, struggling to speak: "I'm worth a lot of money, I'm afraid you'll sell me."

That's what they said, but their bodies were quite honest; they moved their heads left and right a couple of times, trying to find the most comfortable position.

"Do you think I'm short of that little bit of money?"

There was no response.

He looked down and saw that Ji Jiazhen was already asleep. From his angle, he could see her long, thick eyelashes, which trembled slightly from the bumpy ride.

Her right hand rested on his leg, half of it tucked into her sleeve, her fingers unconsciously curled. She had changed her nail polish; this time it was a very translucent pearlescent powder.

Wen Siyu looked down for a while. The light from the streetlamp slanted into the car, casting a shadow on his face through the window. His eyes were brightly lit, his lips were taut, and his gaze was dark and unfathomable.

In the light and shadow, he reached out, his fingers touching her fingertips. The moment they touched, it felt like being burned by fire, more intense than the whiskey he had downed in one gulp that night. He instinctively pulled back two centimeters, his knuckles arching, and then tentatively moved forward again, his movements light but without the slightest hesitation. After making sure he wouldn't wake her, he intertwined his fingers with hers.

In the rearview mirror, he smiled slightly. If Ji Jiazhen could see it, she would definitely think of a meteorite Border Collie she had worked with during a filming session. It was always aloof until she touched its head, at which point it would open its mouth excitedly, stick out its tongue, and wag its tail incessantly.

An obedient little dog.

The car was parked downstairs.

Ji Jiazhen remained asleep, seemingly growing more and more soundly, and Wen Siyu made no attempt to wake her.

The driver opened the car door for him, and he carefully carried Ji Jiazhen out of the car. She moved her head slightly, but only tilted it to a more comfortable position, burying half of her face in his shoulder.

He took the elevator up and unlocked the door in one smooth motion, only turning on the light in the entryway. Since the house belonged to him, he knew the layout very well.

He put her on the bed and helped her take off her shoes and coat. The window was half open, letting in a cold draft, so he closed it, then tucked her in. He bent over and examined her face, from her eyes to her lips, hesitating for a moment, then turned and went to her dressing table. Among a pile of bottles and jars, he found a small bottle of makeup remover, took it to the bedside, reached for two tissues, and wondered whether he should pour the makeup remover on her lips or on the tissues. In the end, to be on the safe side, he poured it on the tissues first.

There wasn't much lipstick left on her lips; a couple of light wipes were enough to clean it, and her lips turned red from the friction.

Ji Jiazhen woke up at that moment, before he could even look away, or even stand up straight.

And just like that, without warning, their eyes met.

"You should have woken me up before I got off the bus, instead of going into a beautiful woman's bedroom in the early hours of the morning."

Her voice was a little hoarse, carrying the weariness of someone who hadn't slept well.

Wen Siyu froze for a moment, but quickly recovered and stood up straight.

Ji Jiazhen propped herself up on her arms and pulled out a small pack of unopened wet wipes from the drawer of the bedside table. She took one out and wiped off the makeup remover residue on her lips.

She was a light sleeper and woke up as soon as she got out of the car. She didn't open her eyes because she wanted to see what Wen Siyu would do. She guessed that he wouldn't wake her and that he would come into her house. What she didn't expect was that he would notice her lipstick mark, and she certainly didn't expect that such a proud young master would take the initiative to help her remove her makeup.

Although it's pretty clumsy.

"You have to use a soft cotton wipe to remove your makeup. These tissues tear easily when they get wet, and they feel uncomfortable against your lips. Every inch of my face is precious. I'll be more careful next time."

Wen Siyu didn't answer, but silently looked at her, trying to figure out the meaning of "next time".

Ji Jiazhen threw the used wet wipe into the trash can, put her hands behind her back, and looked up at him.

Two seconds, three seconds.

She said, "Wen Siyu, bend down."

"..."

He didn't move because he wasn't sure what she wanted to do.

Have you ever owned a dog?

The conversation was too abrupt, and he remained silent, not understanding the connection between the two sentences.

"The reason why dogs are more suitable as pets than other animals is that they are more obedient. They will do whatever their owner says. If I say shake hands, they will extend their paws; if I say lie down, they will bend their knees; now if I say bend over, what will they do?"

The meaning is clear now. Wen Siyu's cold eyes are fixed on her, and Ji Jiazhen watches his face gradually grow larger in front of her.

He was bending over.

Ji Jiazhen's hand gripped his neck, her thumb and forefinger pressing against his artery. She applied a bit of force, and the very tip of her nail dug into his flesh.

Then, in a whisper, he said, "Close your eyes, I'm going to kiss you."

Before the kiss, came the fragrance emanating from her body.

There are many kinds: the neck has a rose-scented shower gel, the hair ends have a gardenia scent, and the wrists have a cool perfume scent.

He never cared about these things, but he was overly sensitive to the scent emanating from her.

Then, a kiss landed on his lips.

Soft, gentle.

She didn't rush into anything, patiently rubbing his lower lip, tossing and turning, but refusing to take the next step. Wen Siyu found it unbearable, pressing his hand behind her head, his tongue probing forward, trying to deepen the kiss, but without any technique, his movements were obviously clumsy.

Ji Jiazhen was a patient and encouraging teacher in this regard, and she was happy to teach him kissing techniques.

She gently bit the tip of his tongue, tracing the shape of his lips with her tongue, occasionally entwining with his, then nimbly dodging away.

During this process, her hands were also exerting force.

The deeper the kiss, the harder the pinch.

Wen Siyu knelt on one knee on the bed, his body covering hers, and kissed her deeply without any tenderness. When she tilted her head back, he followed and pressed her against the headboard. Even when she pinched him hard, he didn't move back a millimeter.

More than desire, this kiss felt like plunder. He remembered how Ji Jiazhen kissed others and then vented that overwhelming jealousy back at her.

Twelve days.

It took him twelve days to earn the right to be kissed by her.

The one at the bar only took an hour.

That's unfair.

His face was flushed, the veins on his temples were bulging, and he felt a mixture of suffocation and pleasure. He couldn't tell if it was pain or pleasure; all the sensations surged up and broke through the numbness in his scalp.

He was at a crossroads, with love on the left and death on the right.

He made no choice; even as his brain suffocated from lack of oxygen, he still kissed Ji Jiazhen violently, driven by the most vile and primal desires, to punish that deadly butterfly that lingered among the flowers.

The moment Wen Siyu let out a muffled groan, Ji Jiazhen let go.

She gave him a first kiss that he would never forget, even in death.

A note from the author:

Let him taste all the sweetness, and then let him suffer all the bitterness.
