Chapter 18 The dads are going to drive Youyou away
"Youyou, do you want to go out for a look?" Su Siwen did not sit in a wheelchair today. He held his son up with an umbrella.
"Dad." The little guy twisted his body and struggled to get down and walk by himself.
"It's okay, Dad's legs don't hurt today."
At the gate of the Su family, Shen Minyan was standing in the rain with an umbrella, next to him was Shen Lin who looked excited.
The raindrops hit the umbrella with a sound almost in sync with Shen Lin's heartbeat.
The father and son look very similar, even their expressions are equally serious.
When the door of the Su family was opened and Su Siwen walked towards them slowly with the little guy in his arms, bright lights burst out in the eyes of both father and son at the same time.
Youyou, who was kept in the dark, smiled like a blooming sunflower. He was held by his little dad for such a long time today, and the dads were going to take him out to play.
The little cub was so happy that he held his father's face and kissed him: "Daddy, I love you so much!"
The raindrops fell on Su Siwen's body, seeping into his heart through his pores, making him feel like he was soaked in cold sea water.
"Youyou, Daddy will always love you." Su Siwen's slightly cool lips touched the little guy's chubby face.
Don't forget dad, okay?
The little guy was still immersed in the joy of going out to play. No matter how heavy the rain was, it could not stop the excitement of a human cub.
But the next second, the little guy couldn't laugh anymore.
His father picked him up and stuffed him into a cold and slightly stiff embrace.
Youyou: "..."
Su Siwen met his son's clear and innocent eyes and almost lost his balance. He quickly turned around and left.
"Dad——" The little guy struggled in Shen Minyan's arms, waving his hands helplessly in the air.
In an instant, the little guy's big eyes were filled with tears, and he looked with a pouty mouth at Kun Kun who was standing aside and had not left yet.
“Youyou, do you remember what Dad told you two days ago? You go to live in North City with Dad Shen first, and wait for Kunkun to take Dad to get treatment. When he’s cured, we’ll come to see you, okay?”
The rain was getting heavier. Qin Kun walked out from under the umbrella. His hands were so cold that he didn't dare touch Su Youli's soft face.
He stood at the door of his house, handed the suitcase to Zhang Shun, then turned around and walked towards his yard without any reluctance.
It happened so fast that the three-year-old had no idea why the dads did this.
Qin Kun walked back step by step in the rain, trying hard not to look back at him.
The fathers packed his suitcase, not to take him out to play, but to drive him away.
Dads…don’t want him anymore.
"Wow--"
The heart-wrenching cry of a child was heard, followed by the sound of Shen Lin and Shen Minyan frantically trying to comfort the child.
"Youyou, don't cry. Brother will give you candy, okay?" Shen Lin had already prepared Youyou's favorite lollipop and tried to stuff it into his mouth to divert his attention.
But he was wrong. Although Youyou was a little greedy, how could this lollipop compare to those of his fathers.
"No, no candy, Daddy... Youyou wants Daddy!"
Su Youli kicked his legs and waved his hands, trying to get out of Shen Minyan's arms.
It was the first time that Chen Minyan felt so heartbroken when hearing a child crying, but no matter how heartbroken he was, he had to bring back his youngest son whom he had been looking for for three years.
On rainy days, the residents of Yunshui Street stayed at home to rest, and the crying of children broke the quiet and pleasant morning.
Grandma Yang was busy in the kitchen when she heard a voice and exclaimed, "Why does it sound like Youyou is crying?" Grandma Yang tied an apron around her neck and walked to the door, listening carefully for a while.
"Really Youyou, what's wrong with Xiao Su and Qin Kun? They didn't even care when the child was crying like this!"
Grandma Yang took off her apron, took the umbrella from behind the door and walked out.
"Mom, just leave it alone."
Yang Shiqing knew that today was the day Youyou was taken away. Although the two families had a good relationship, it was not appropriate for them to interfere in other people's family affairs.
"Why should I not care? I watched Youyou grow up under my care. What will I do if she cries like this and gets hurt?"
The old lady walked out the door, wiped her hands on her apron, picked up the umbrella standing under the eaves and left.
With a creaky sound, the door of the room next to the Su family was opened, and a spirited old lady walked out.
Grandma Yang was also shocked by the scene in front of her, if her son Yang Shiqing had not told her before that Youyou’s biological father would be over in the next two days.
Seeing Youyou crying breathlessly in the arms of a strange man with a cold expression, she almost thought these people were human traffickers.
"Oh my, oh my, what are you doing? You don't care about the child crying like this!"
Grandma Yang scolded loudly, and walked quickly to Shen Minyan in the rain to take the child.
Shen Minyan's arms felt empty, and for a moment he didn't know what to do next. He opened his mouth to say something but had to close it in the end.
Youyou is his son, and this is not a project that can be completed just by his signature.
During those few minutes when his youngest son was in his arms, he thought a lot.
His son disliked him very much, just like his eldest son and second son, and even hated being with him a little.
Shen Minyan lowered his eyes, silently took the umbrella from Zhang Shun, and held it over the heads of the old lady and her youngest son who was too sad to control himself.
"Don't cry, Youyou, don't cry. Grandma will take you to find Brother Yang Yang, okay?"
While the old lady was calming the child down, she looked at Shen Minyan who was standing at the door with a reproachful look.
"Grandma, Daddy, don't Youyou..." The little guy cried so hard that his combed curly hair was now messy and his collar was crooked.
He was sweating while struggling in Shen Minyan's arms, and now his whole body felt a little hot.
She was held in the arms of Grandma Yang, looking aggrieved, with tears on her face and her body shaking because of sobbing.
Grandma Yang has a straightforward temper. She strode up the stairs with the little one in her arms and banged on the door: "Xiao Su, open the door quickly!"
The two men hiding behind the door had their plans disrupted by the old lady's sudden appearance, so they had to open the door.
When she saw Su Siwen and Qin Kun clearly, Grandma Yang's words of scolding got stuck in her throat and she couldn't utter them at all.
Neither of them held an umbrella, and their clothes were all wet by the rain. Qin Kun held Su Siwen in his arms. Both of them had red eyes. Su Siwen lowered his head, and his shoulders were still trembling slightly.
What was there for Grandma Yang to not understand after seeing this? They were obviously reluctant to part with Su Youli.
"What do you think you are doing?"
"Dad...don't leave me, Youyou, be good, Youyou."
The little guy is still crying, his tiny chest heaving violently, and his eyes are almost blinded by tears.
“Youyou, Youyou, be good, Daddy… No, no, don’t Youyou.”
The little guy cried so hard that his originally clear voice became hoarse. He was held by Grandma Yang. When he saw Su Siwen and Qin Kun, his whole body leaned over and opened his arms towards them.
