Liao Yuewei looked solemn. She didn't know why the student ghost was willing to testify for them. She had nightmares about the whole process of her fiancé 'Cheng Dong' disappearing, and of course she could guess that the class monitor, who was relatively 'friendly' in comparison, must have played a significant role in it.
In the usual horror movie formula, the seemingly harmless thing is often the most dangerous.
She had been trying to remind Cheng Shuang privately, but ever since they left the restaurant, the class monitor had stayed close to the girl, chatting and laughing together. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought the two were best friends who had known each other for years.
Of course, the responsibility of washing the dishes fell entirely on Liao Yuewei's shoulders. When she carefully returned to the teaching building, she saw the class monitor and Cheng walking hand in hand, heading happily towards the basement.
Liao Yuewei hesitated for a moment. The class monitor clearly didn't like her. If she went over now and interrupted their conversation, it might upset the ghosts and monsters, which could easily harm herself and Cheng Shuang.
Given how clever the girl is, she won't make any major mistakes in a short time. She should take better care of herself since she's all alone!
Liao Yuewei made her decision. Looking at the teaching building that exuded an eerie atmosphere despite being under the sun, she took a deep breath and went straight upstairs.
The empty classroom made her feel somewhat relaxed.
She sat down in the chair, intending to calm her overly tense mind. She tidied up the clutter in Song Zijiao's desk drawer, wondering if she would need to wear a dance costume for the afternoon etiquette class as well.
However, when she reached in, the back of her hand was cut by some kind of sharp object.
She found it strange, and upon closer inspection, she realized it was a piece of paper.
A line of childish handwriting on the piece of paper reads: Do not linger in empty classrooms.
The back of the glass glowed red. She flipped it over and saw five large, blood-red characters: "Don't believe her."
The fonts on both sides are remarkably similar.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she nervously glanced around, her gaze finally settling on the newly added bloodstains in the corner of the podium, where it had once been spotless...
Liao Yuewei jumped up immediately, grabbed her clothes, and hurriedly left the classroom.
She ran so fast that when she pushed open the stairwell door, she didn't notice two other people struggling to walk alone at the corner of the stairs, and naturally, the two collided.
Liao Yuewei was thrown back two steps before regaining her footing, while the other person let out a painful howl.
She almost thought she'd encountered a scammer at the ghost school, but after a quick glance, she immediately put on an apologetic expression.
The short-haired girl across from them was wearing a tracksuit. The top was somewhat fitted, revealing her large belly, which was stretched thin and red, with prominent veins. At that moment, she was clutching her stomach and couldn't even bend over. She leaned against the wall, moaning softly. The long-haired girl next to her, supporting her, glared at Liao Yuewei, wanting to get angry, but hesitated for something, pursed her lips, and pulled and dragged the short-haired girl downstairs.
Liao Yuewei's eyes flickered slightly. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, took out a pill from her spatial storage, handed it to the long-haired woman, and left the words "emetic" before quickly going downstairs.
Judging from the intimacy between the long-haired and short-haired women, they must be Su Ming and Wenwen, a couple. Don't be fooled by the fact that some of the protectors dare not confront ghosts head-on; when it comes to sabotaging their colleagues, they each employ their own unique methods. In this perilous place, it's far better to be on their good side than to make enemies.
Besides, emetics are not very useful except for ripping people off.
We soon arrived at the basement level.
Liao Yuewei pushed open the stairwell door. She covered her face, feeling the light shining through her fingers, which was even more dazzling than the daytime sun.
Once her eyes had adjusted, she was already standing at the entrance of the dance studio. A few students, having changed into their dance costumes, were doing warm-up exercises. One of the girls, a stranger, who was stretching her legs on the barre, waved enthusiastically at her.
Liao Yuewei swallowed hard. She didn't see Cheng Shuang or the class monitor in the classroom. When she looked back, the world outside the door was dark and gloomy, as if a pair of eyes were staring intently at her from the shadows...
Cheng Shuang changed into her dance costume, straightened her fluffy skirt, and after checking that there were no flaws in her attire, she took off the top that she had used to cover the mirror.
Just as she was about to turn and leave, she keenly turned her head and looked at the glass mirror.
The girl stopped, touched the glass mirror with her fingertip, found nothing amiss, frowned slightly, and slowly backed away from the changing room.
The class monitor greeted her with a smile, took Cheng Shuang's arm, and said affectionately, "You look very cute in this dance outfit!"
The pink long-sleeved ballet dress and white stockings were a bit too big for Cheng Shuang, but at least they were made of elastic material. Besides, she had added a thin base layer underneath. She just didn't feel safe wearing the ghostly dance dress.
"Cuteness isn't something a little girl can claim to have," she thought, and then just let it go. Instead, she puffed out her cheeks and pouted, saying, "How could that be!"
The squad leader was taken aback, his gaze gradually turning indifferent.
"Miss Mingqianyu is clearly the cutest in the world!"
The chilling aura surrounding the girl vanished abruptly, and she tilted her head, revealing a sweet smile. She reached out and pinched Cheng Shuang's delicate, warm cheek.
Cheng Shuang's gaze was gradually drawn to a figure.
There were only a few students in the dance studio. One of them had his arm hanging unnaturally at his side, and his shoulder was haphazardly wrapped up, with a faint trace of blood showing through.
The name on her name card is Lin Bizhi.
If nothing unexpected happens, Zhang Bao will replace Lin Bizhi.
He had been attacked by Tian Dashuo and rolled down the stairs, but his seat was in a corner during class, and Cheng Shuang observed several times but did not find anyone with injuries.
It's clear that his injury occurred when he stayed in the classroom at noon, which is why the little girl was extra careful to leave a note for Liao Yuewei.
