Chapter 147 Trying My Luck

Cheng Shuang got up and checked her legs and feet. Seeing that she could move freely and was not injured, she decided to ignore Atai, who was running around and still couldn't calm down, and started looking for the location of the warehouse door again.

The little girl thought the anchor uncle had claustrophobia and couldn't calm down in a confined space, and that he would naturally return to normal once the door was opened.

But as she searched, she realized something was amiss.

Even though Ah Tai's throat was so hoarse that he could barely make a sound, he still seemed full of energy, jumping up and down, looking as if a ghost was chasing him...

Do we see different worlds?

In an instant, Cheng Shuang had this question.

She had basically looked around all three walls, leaving only the last wall hidden by tables and chairs.

After thinking it over, Cheng Shuang decided to temporarily give up the search. She planned to stop Ah Tai and see if he was being chased by a ghost.

She wasn't being nosy; she was afraid that there really was a ghost lurking in the shadows, and that after she finished causing trouble, her grandmother would come and start making things difficult for her.

The little girl acted on her impulse, moving aside several fallen bouncy castles and calling out to her grandmother, who was running towards her like the wind, "Hey! Over here!"

Atai instinctively looked in the direction of the sound. He was so tired that he forgot there was such a thing as a brain. He didn't hear what Cheng Shuang was shouting at all. When he saw a convenient escape route, he rushed straight over.

Cheng Shuang hid on the side of a stepping stone, staring intently at Ah Tai's back.

There's nothing there!

The little girl puffed out her cheeks, scratched them in confusion, and turned her head, intending to call out to her grandfather to see if she could find out what was going on. But then, she saw a gray shadow quickly climb from her grandfather's shoulder to his chest.

The gray shadow looked familiar; she immediately thought of the four identical rag dolls she kept in her spatial storage.

To be honest, if she had a choice, she would never choose this doll as her companion. It's just too ugly, so ugly that it would scare her awake if she got up at night.

But for those children in Ferro, its existence may be their only solace.

Even though Cheng Shuang was mentally prepared, she was still startled by the terrible appearance of the rag doll that suddenly appeared in the warehouse.

Not to mention Grandma...

A heart-wrenching, piercing wolf howl escaped from Ah Tai's mouth, as if he wanted to release all his fear. He frantically jumped onto a table, first bouncing around in place, and when that failed, he began to beat his chest like a gorilla.

It's clearly a funny action.

Cheng Shuang couldn't laugh at all.

Because a few blood spots started spreading from his back, and the blood spots quickly spread and merged into a patch.

The dripping blood pooled at his feet.

"Uncle anchor!" the little girl exclaimed.

However, Ah Tai did not respond; he collapsed to the ground.

Cheng Shuang then realized that Ah Tai had picked up two broken triangle rulers at some point, the broken edges of which were extremely sharp.

He was eager to use the triangle ruler to stab the gray shadow in his chest and get rid of it, but unfortunately he was so frightened that he lost his composure and couldn't even consider his own safety.

The young man lying on the ground, his expression contorted, reached out and scratched his chest twice before snapping his neck and dying.

The little girl swallowed hard and quietly walked over. She wanted to close her eyes at her grandmother's terrible state, but she couldn't. The gray shadow moved too fast, so fast that it was impossible to predict whether it possessed unpredictable destructive power.

Cheng Shuang hugged the teddy bear tightly and squatted down to check if there were any other wounds on Atai's body.

Apart from a few fatal wounds that pierced his chest cleanly like blades, Atai was dressed perfectly, which at least proved that Gray Shadow could not have inflicted any superficial injuries on him.

That's mental stimulation?

The little girl couldn't guess how her great-grandmother ended up in the warehouse, but one thing she was sure of was that her great-grandmother was there.

Ah Tai was in a deep sleep and dreamt of the horrors of the girls' school. When he woke up, he found his environment had changed drastically, causing his mind to become muddled and unable to distinguish between reality and dreams. Coupled with the relentless pursuit and entanglement of the gray shadow, this finally drove him to a complete breakdown and madness.

Cheng Shuang took out the blanket she found in the second bedroom and used it to cover her body, then placed it over A Tai's ashen and distorted face.

She stood up, her voice light and weak, yet impossible to ignore, "Tell me, if you take it apart, will you feel pain?"

At this moment, the little girl lowered her face, her messy short hair seemed to be slowly growing longer, and soon half of her face was covered in shadow. Her long cloak, like black hair, reached the ground, casting a long and thin black shadow on the ground.

Her figure was completely hidden in the cloak, with only an ugly gray rag doll vaguely visible hanging in mid-air, its outstretched scissor legs wedged around its neck, like the arrival of death.

'ah! '

The piercing scream was so loud it felt like it was going to burst my eardrums.

Cheng Shuang almost dropped the doll to cover her ears, but fortunately, she kept in mind the cause of her grandmother's death, and her hands hidden in the cloak didn't even tremble.

She caught the doll before because of perfect timing, location, and people, mainly because there was a water tap and a long enough hose. Now that the huge warehouse is in a mess and the doll can wander off anywhere, she'll probably have to do a thorough cleaning of the warehouse.

So the little girl thought of copying Death, using a terrifying appearance to create psychological pressure and using 'hostages' to force the doll to surrender.

She was just trying her luck.

What if the kids stay innocent and get tricked?

Of course, she had also considered the consequences of angering it.

After all, no matter what, we need to force it to show itself before we can proceed.

Unbeknownst to Cheng Shuang, a gray shadow slowly emerged behind her, trying to approach her. It moved swiftly, from unsteady little steps to increasingly faster pace, until in the blink of an eye it touched Cheng Shuang's trouser leg. Just as it was about to climb up, a girl's uniquely sweet and soft voice sighed, "Ah, caught you!"
