Chapter 156 Farce

With Liao Yuewei's help, even Tian Dashuo, who was wielding a deadly weapon, was unable to fight three opponents alone.

Fangfang's mana depletion finally achieved an amazing effect. The white glimmer brought by the shimmering light gradually dissipated. In the end, Tian Dashuo, relying solely on his strong physique and the long-lasting power of his chainsaw, fought fiercely against the two maintainers who possessed physical attack skills.

He must have studied some kind of combat sports, as his movements were very skillful. Coupled with his height of nearly two meters and weight of three hundred pounds, his strength was beyond that of ordinary people. Fortunately, Liao Yuewei and Liu Jueshan were not to be underestimated either.

Those present could see that Tian Dashuo was blinded and possessed by something. His small eyes were frighteningly red, to the point that he had a crazy, relentless drive. Yet, they couldn't say that he was out of his mind, because his every move was not based on pure brute force.

At first, Cheng Shuang could keep up with Liao Yuewei's attack speed, but later she became dizzy. After all, she was a protector, and her so-called physical attack moves were dazzling, like watching a martial arts competition between peerless masters, except that she had not yet mastered the lightness skill to play a support role.

The little girl decided to give up on learning the moves, as these things couldn't be learned overnight. She turned her attention to the mountaintop, determined to find out where the Gate of Reincarnation was hidden within the limited time available.

However, with just a quick glance, the little girl noticed something amiss in a patch of grass.

On a large tree not far away, something was dripping down, hitting the grass and instantly forming a small puddle on the green leaves.

Cheng Shuang was taken aback; at such close range, she hadn't even noticed that someone was hiding in the tree.

If she hadn't been so small and hadn't remained motionless behind the tree, she probably would have been spotted much sooner.

For some reason, when she realized that someone was hiding in that big tree, the strange things she had previously inexplicably overlooked suddenly became clear to her. Su Ming, who had lost an arm, sat on a low branch without hiding, holding a small knife in his hand, his face ashen, aiming at the group of people fighting fiercely in the racetrack, as if he was about to throw the knife.

Cheng Shuang recalled his skill—"Just a grain of sand in your eyes." Liu Jueshan had initially thought it was a skill that could lower the enemy's guard, but now it seemed to be more than just a way to reduce vigilance; it might also have the ability to launch a sneak attack.

Putting aside others, just the presence of Liao Yuewei alone would have made the young girl unwilling to let him succeed.

He has become a ghost, and whether he can leave the cycle of reincarnation or not is probably irrelevant to him, but she still wants to get out! If Su Ming causes another chaos, even without the ghosts' games and pranks, they, the protectors, will be completely wiped out.

Thinking of this, Cheng Shuang no longer hesitated, released the bear cub, and watched it quietly lurk behind the tree where Su Ming was hiding. It suddenly grew bigger, and then with a paw, it sent Su Ming flying.

Although Su Ming was a ghost, it didn't mean he had gained new skills. Naturally, he fell unprepared at the feet of Tian Dashuo, who was already in a losing position, and instantly became Tian Dashuo's stumbling block.

With a loud thud, the excessively large man fell to the ground.

One wrong move and the whole game is lost.

As Tian Dashuo tried to get up, a Tang sword was held to his neck. He was stunned for a moment, ignoring the deadly weapon, and instead grabbed Su Ming by the neck, forcefully pulling him up.

Even though he was already dead, the feeling of suffocation still made Su Ming panic. He pleaded desperately, "It wasn't me, please let me go! Someone framed me, really!" He struggled to point to the big tree behind him.

The group looked around, but there was no one there.

Tian Dashuo felt a sense of humiliation and mockery. He was about to crush the man's throat in a fit of rage when a sharp pain shot through his chest.

A small knife was plunged into his heart.

Su Ming's severed arm had somehow grown back, and this bloody hand was gripping the small knife. He grinned at Tian Dashuo, his smile filled with hatred and malice, his voice brimming with glee, "Look, Wenwen, I'm not a useless piece of trash, I've avenged you!" With that, the enraged Tian Dashuo slapped him into the ground, lifted him up, and shoved him back in again and again in a fit of rage.

Until Su Ming's head was dented.

Everyone was shocked.

Especially Cheng Shuang and Liao Yuewei, who knew the inside story.

Tian Dashuo lived up to his reputation as a model of strength and sturdiness. Even after being stabbed in the chest, he insisted on finishing off Su Ming before taking his medicine.

After this incident, he seemed to regain some of his senses. Before his wounds had fully healed, he stood up, stomped on Su Ming's head, glared at him like a bull, looked around, and roared, "You little bastard, come out here, or I'll stomp your lover's head flat!"

Almost as soon as he finished speaking, a slender figure walked down from the observation deck. Wenwen appeared with a cold face.

She glanced at Su Ming, who was lying on the ground looking disheveled, with a complicated expression, then looked apologetically at Liao Yuewei and the other two, and took the lead in admitting, "I'm sorry, when Tian Dashuo was dealing with Su Ming, I added the berserk status to Tian Dashuo's clothes. I didn't expect that spineless Su Ming would give up so quickly, which caused the attribute's time to not expire and dragged you all down with me!"

Tian Dashuo was extremely dissatisfied with her arrogant attitude. When he heard that Wenwen was the one who had caused his previous desperate battle with a completely unrelated defender, during which he had even exhausted his skills, he picked up his chainsaw and charged towards Wenwen.

Su Ming scrambled to his feet and surprisingly followed behind.

Fangfang was so angry she almost ground her teeth to powder, and she cursed, "What kind of rubbish is this!"

Liao Yuewei smiled bitterly, "In this Gate of Reincarnation, more people die at the hands of the maintainers than at the hands of ghosts and monsters."

As women, they completely understand Wenwen's actions. If they encountered a scoundrel like Tian Dashuo and a scumbag boyfriend like Su Ming, anyone would turn to the dark side and do everything they could to retaliate. But the bystanders who were dragged into this are truly wronged.

Fangfang only blames herself for meddling in other people's business back then, but if she could do it all over again, she would still not regret what she did.

In short, all those idiot rapists who assault women should just die!

At this point, it was clear that there was nothing more for Liao Yuewei and the other two to do. Liao Yuewei immediately turned around and waved to Cheng Shuang, beckoning her over.

Although they didn't want to continue associating with someone as clueless as Tian Dashuo, they were heading towards the church.

The maintainers gathered on the mountaintop, presumably because the clues they had collected were all related to the mountaintop. They walked past the students who were staring blankly at them. After this round of infighting, each of them was able to pass by without changing their expression, enduring those terrifyingly empty gazes.

The farce involving Su Ming and his two companions continued. They had arrived at the church and could reach it by crossing the barbed wire fence.

Strangely, the barbed wire wasn't woven very densely. Wenwen quickly slipped through the gaps, and Tian Dashuo, chasing after her in a fit of rage, swung his chainsaw and cut the barbed wire.

Perhaps anger overwhelmed him, or perhaps the prolonged battle had robbed him of his ability to think, but seeing Wenwen standing motionless behind the net watching him, Tian Dashuo didn't hesitate to step forward and rush towards her.

Unexpectedly, the barbed wire he had already cut instantly wrapped around his body, and his momentum was too strong, leaving him no room to stop.
