Chapter 258 Animal Planet (The End)

One claw smashed a bottle of venom emitting green vapor, while another pulled out a wolf-tooth dagger and slashed at Liu Juan's ankle.

The air was filled with a pungent aroma. Du Jun and Cheng Shuang didn't notice anything, but the one closest to them, Big Axe, couldn't stand it. His tiger body trembled, and his majestic tiger eyes immediately became unfocused. Even the red fox beside him leaned unsteadily against the wall and uttered four words in disbelief, "Genetic poison gas!"

Gene gas is an unofficial drug used against carnivorous predators. The toxins it contains are enough to make all predators retract their claws and become completely submissive. Long-term poisoning can lead to severe dependence, destroy the predators' minds, and completely disrupt their genes, which can then be passed on to the next generation.

Ten years ago, in order to completely eliminate this poison gas that could trigger an animal planet war, countless animal elites were killed or injured before the underground experimental facility that developed the poison gas was destroyed. It took a full year to recover all the drugs that were circulating on the market.

Because of this chaos, Animal Planet, which has avoided the death penalty since the Alliance was founded, publicly deprived several of the animals responsible for the incident for the first time.

Carnivores have long been accustomed to complex meats, and every herbivore has more or less some friendly carnivorous friends or neighbors. No animal wants war.

Who would have thought that poison gas would be discovered again in the hands of a petty thug? No wonder they would act so desperately. Once they are caught, what awaits them may not be endless imprisonment, but the complete loss of their lives.

Of course, before dying, they would probably suffer extreme torture. The methods used by the authorities to recover all the medicines back then were certainly not gentle or harmless.

Before the red fox completely collapsed and became powerless, it pressed the alarm.

A piercing, long cry echoed through the sky.

This is a function that every citizen of Animal Planet has on their personal computer. Once genetic gas is detected, an alarm button can be pressed, and the interception team will arrive as quickly as possible.

The gorilla mountain's eyes were bloodshot, and it let out a roar that sounded like both anger and panic. Its only consolation was that the location where it intercepted the female gorilla was a blind spot that it had chosen well in advance.

As long as they are killed, no one will know who did it.

It swung the dagger menacingly once more.

Liu Juan was stunned by the sudden change. She watched as the wolf-tooth dagger slashed her ankle. Du Jun moved and leaped down, directly blocking Xingxingshan with his long sword.

On the other side, the gorilla also brandished its claws at the tiger.

Mr. Axe struggled to dodge, his tiger-like face contorted with ferocity, baring his sharp teeth in a menacing manner, but he still couldn't deter the two gorillas' determination to kill the beast and silence it.

The cronies lying on the ground knew the seriousness of the matter, and their expressions changed drastically. However, they had no choice but to join forces with the gorillas. They were all omnivores and could not remain uninvolved in this struggle. Rather than being unable to shake off suspicion, they might as well fight it out.

Otherwise, they won't have a good ending if they get caught.

Recalling the gruesome sight of those animals publicly executed years ago, their eyes welled up with a frenzied red.

The animals on Animal Planet possess intelligence comparable to that of humans, while also exhibiting the ferocity of wild beasts.

The law of the jungle is an instinct deeply ingrained in every animal.

Cheng Shuang was shocked. Apart from two animals whose hind limbs were completely immobilized by the big axe, the rest split into two groups and attacked the red fox and the tiger.

For a moment, Mr. Axe was afraid. He was not afraid of getting hurt and bleeding, but he was afraid of not being able to protect his baby. When the big claws came, Mr. Axe, who had never dodged before, mobilized all his strength, turned his back, and protected the little girl.

Cheng Shuang immediately smelled the overwhelming stench of blood so close to her nose. Her face turned pale, and she looked up at the old axe man with his round, wrinkled face. His round tiger eyes looked at her and he shook his head silently.

The little girl immediately understood that the big axe was willing to give up resisting for her sake, like a princess sleeping peacefully in a seashell. As long as she was in its palm, she would not be harmed by the outside world.

But what about it?

She dared not think any further.

"Bear cubs, bear cubs!" Cheng Shuang cried out urgently, seeing more danger rushing toward Mr. Old Axe through the gaps in his claws.

Du Jun used his skill to distract the gorilla mountain and another powerful wild boar, preventing him from joining the fray. Upon hearing the news, the bear cub swiftly jumped out of Du Jun's pocket, its robust physique instantly stomping a short brown bear that was waving its claws at a tiger under its feet.

Seeing that Big Axe had risked his life to protect Shuangshuang, Bear Cub was extremely grateful and activated its superhuman strength skill. Originally, as Shuangshuang's toy, its best course of action was to activate the protective shield, but at this moment, it was willing to trust that Big Axe could ensure that Shuangshuang would not be injured, and thus fought for a strange tiger.

The situation improved somewhat, but the alley was too narrow, limiting the movement of the large bear cubs. Two small animals, resembling hyenas or weasels, slipped past the bear cubs' blind spots.

Although Cheng Shuang couldn't see the scene in the alley completely, she heard the weak roar of the old axe. The little girl bit her lip and decisively released the zombie.

Seeing the zombie float away, a sense of regret, as if the dust had settled, welled up in my heart.

The bear cubs are manageable, but the slumbering monster is a creature that animals can't understand at all. Exposing it is like exposing yourself.

The little girl sat helplessly and anxiously in the palm of the big axe, stroking the short tiger fur from time to time. It seemed that it was time to say goodbye to the big axe.

The large black cloak covered the entire alley, its presence resembling the dark legends of animal planets that frighten their young. The oppressive aura of death made all the animals tremble with fear.
