Chapter 263 Differences

The old woman clung to the car door, trembling as she tried to kneel down.

But the man was extremely vigilant. Fearing that the old woman might be up to some trick in his blind spot, he immediately stopped her.

He frowned, neither admitting nor denying, and cleverly shouted, "Get out, you old madwoman! There's no granddaughter here. Get out, you crazy old lady, can you afford to pay for the car if you scratch it?"

The old lady never said that she had lost her granddaughter.

Cheng Shuang thought to herself, and after hearing the old lady's next words, a vague idea came to her mind, and she gasped.

"I won't leave. I want to find my granddaughter. Please, I beg you, I just want to see my granddaughter. I just want to be with her. Please, I beg you! I just want to see my granddaughter!"

Grandma used her own life to guide the police...

Cheng Shuang felt a chill in her heart. If it weren't for human trafficking, the child would most likely have been murdered by now, given how long the child had been missing. Her grandmother might know this, but she still refused to give up, hoping that all the perpetrators would be brought to justice and receive the punishment they deserved.

For an elderly person who is unarmed, their life is the most valuable thing.

Sure enough, as the old woman clung to the car window, pleading desperately and showing no sign of giving up, the man chuckled mischievously, his tone playful, "You really want to see your granddaughter?"

The old lady nodded eagerly, "I want to see my granddaughter!"

"Regardless of the cost?"

"Never mind!"

"Then get in the car!" The man opened the car door decisively, looking up impatiently. "I gave you a chance! Don't blame me if something goes wrong!"

The old woman gave the man a deep look, then climbed into the van without hesitation.

Cheng's eyes flashed, and she reappeared on the bus. She turned her head and saw Du Jun and Sun Han with their eyes open and blank expressions. After a few seconds, their pupils trembled slightly, and they woke up.

The three exchanged a glance, their expressions grave.

"It took half an hour in total," Sun Han said, glancing at his watch. "Let's take turns sharing our thoughts!"

“This mini-game is similar to a plot-driven death.” Du Jun pinched his brow and looked up at the front of the car. “There is no time limit for answering after the first round ends. There is a long gap of three hours. It can’t just be for thinking. It seems that there will be an immersive plot to assist in the analysis next.”

Cheng Shuang sighed, "Now we need to consider three questions: must each person answer one question to pass, or must each person answer three questions, and the remaining two people will fail?"

"If things are this harsh, we might as well blow up the car!" Sun Han sneered. "It's just a small instance, the rules aren't even clear yet, so let's just destroy it!"

Du Jun glanced out the window. "We're still in the city. An explosion would be big news. If it affects the city's residents, I can only apologize in advance."

The words were casual and showed no remorse.

A screeching sound of brakes rang out, the bus stopped briefly, and then quickly started moving again.

A line of text flashed on the electronic screen:

Rule 1: This instance will be entered in a party by default.

The three felt a chill run down their spines; it meant that other instances existed, and there was a risk of competition between them.

"But it doesn't matter if we just play around, since we have nothing else to do anyway!" Cheng Shuang smiled and tilted her head, offering a way out for herself.

Their confident and aggressive demeanor was merely a test; the unexpected cooperation from the bus instance was a pleasant surprise.

We can't really destroy the instance; that might not be impossible, but it wouldn't necessarily do them any good either.

"So what are the remaining rules, Mr. Copycat? Please tell me the truth!" Sun Han knocked on the car window and laughed, "We're all here to have fun, so let's not leave each other with any regrets, right?"

Another line of text flashed on the electronic screen: Passengers, please find out the rules yourselves.

Clearly, the copywriter is no longer willing to reveal anything.

The little girl held onto the railing and walked to the front of the car. She looked at the driver in the driver's seat, who was driving and seemed very focused on his work.

The little girl thought for a moment, realizing she shouldn't disturb the driver during the driving time, so she started looking for the coin slot herself, muttering to herself, "Where's the receipt? You get a receipt when you pay, right?"

The driver didn't react, but the girl didn't mind and quickly found a small, thick stack of tickets below the coin slot.

Nowadays, few people pay cash for public transport, so Cheng Shuang found it quite novel and examined the ticket repeatedly.

Du Jun came over and reminded her, "Tear the tickets according to the amount; it's eight yuan per person to the final stop."

The ticket was marked as two yuan.

Cheng Shuang tore off twelve sheets and handed a few to Du Jun.

The two men were studying the tickets at the front of the train, while Sun Han was observing the passengers sleeping soundly at the back of the train.

The passengers, dressed in exquisite ancient costumes, were treated almost like mere tools, showing no reaction to anything the three of them said or did.

And the train ticket...

"These tickets only have one sentence on the back: Do not interfere with the driver's normal driving outside of designated stops."

Cheng Shuang read softly. She lowered her eyes. The concept of "undisturbed" was too broad. If it were truly undisturbed, it wouldn't react when they threatened this copy, so there was still an opportunity!

Du Jun walked to the middle of the bus and looked at the bus stop map. The first stop was the Third Central Primary School, and the final stop was the Olympic Forest Park in the city.

There are only three stations between the two: the beginning of the night, the middle of the night, and the end of the night.

It appears there are three immersive storylines.

The line below is in tiny red text, so small that it would be easily overlooked unless you were specifically looking for it.

—Do not open the door and get off the vehicle while it is in motion. If a new passenger arrives at a stop, the vehicle will be automatically classified as an enemy.
