Chapter 329 Overnight

The remaining two girls pursed their lips, not wanting to get involved in such matters at all, and followed Zhou Ting back into the house.

Sun Han said to Cheng Shuang, "You two come inside too!"

Han Meimei took the little girl's arm, winked at Lianrong, and said gently, "Come on! Girls' night out!"

The two of them, holding Cheng Shuang's small hand, didn't even glance at the four boys, brushed past them, and walked briskly towards the west wing.

Seeing that the other party didn't take them seriously, the four boys immediately lost their nerve and chickened out, sneaking back to their room even faster than Cheng Shuang and her two companions.

Just before the little girl closed the door, she heard Li Lei shout gloatingly, "Here's a flashlight for you, so you can see where you're going."

There was a sound of something hitting the ground. Just as Cheng Shuang was about to look, Han Meimei, who had put down her backpack, smiled and said, "Xiao He, let me lock the door!" She turned around and walked over, ruffled the girl's soft hair, and began to check if the doors and windows were locked properly.

After the door was locked, the noise outside could no longer be heard. The little girl looked at the tiredness in the gentle lady's eyes, gave up her little curiosity, turned around, and looked around the room in the extremely dim light.

The room is about 15 square meters. In terms of layout, it is really not much different from a hotel room. Even the lighting is that kind of warm yellow bedside lamp that helps you sleep.

The room contains a double bed, a small double sofa, a simple desk, and a chair.

Lianrong, who had squeezed through a small door next to her, exclaimed in surprise, "It's a private bathroom!" She poked her head out, "You can't take a shower, but daily cleaning is no problem."

Cheng Shuang smiled. Actually, Sister Lianrong was quite optimistic. She really didn't know what kind of desperate situation she had encountered to jump into such a deadly place. Of course, curiosity was one thing, but the young girl would never do something as unpleasant as rubbing salt into someone's wounds and prying into their private affairs.

She obediently moved the chair to the side of the single sofa, making a small single bed. She took out a soft cushion from the storage compartment and laid it down, piling it up in a pillow shape at the head position. Then, the little girl hugged the teddy bear and lay down directly. She tried to move around a bit. The length of this makeshift bed was not only just right for her height, but also quite comfortable.

"Xiao He, you sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the sofa!" Lian Rong, who had just come out of the bathroom, happened to see this scene. When Han Meimei opened her mouth to speak, she immediately refused, "No need, Sister Han. I'm healthy, I sleep soundly, and I fall asleep very quickly. I won't turn over all night on the small sofa."

Cheng Shuang didn't get up, but just smiled pitifully and said, "Good Lianrong sister, I've already lain down and don't want to get up. It's fine for me to sleep here. You guys go to sleep, goodnight!"

Lianrong wanted to say something, but Han Meimei stopped her, saying that it was unnecessary to continue the stalemate over giving up the bed.

Lianrong scratched her head and noticed that the little girl had already closed her eyes, so she didn't disturb her any longer. She quietly finished washing up with Han Meimei and got into bed.

Just as she herself said, the girl fell asleep instantly after lying down. Listening to her regular breathing, Han Meimei, who was exhausted after a long day and whose physical strength was far inferior to that of the maintainer, also couldn't help but feel sleepy.

Just as she was drifting off to sleep, she keenly sensed the sparse movement. She opened her eyes a crack and saw Cheng Shuang, whom she thought was asleep, tiptoeing toward the bathroom.

Han Meimei slightly curled her lips, closed her eyes again, and thought, "It's just a child's good intention, why bother to expose it?"

After an unknown amount of time, the sky began to lighten, and a piercing scream suddenly rang out, startling everyone from their sweet dreams awake.

Cheng Shuang quickly got up, exchanged a glance with her sisters who were also asleep fully clothed, the drowsiness in their eyes disappeared, and she quickly left the room.

The glaring crimson light spread from the crack in the door of the outermost room in the east wing. The scream came from Zhou Ting, who collapsed in a pool of blood in front of the room, her face filled with horror. Her stylish and beautiful dress was covered in blood.

Although she didn't know why Zhou Ting had come out before dawn, the little girl couldn't bear to see her in such a disheveled state and went forward to help her up.

To everyone's surprise, the other party was extremely ungrateful, slapping Cheng Shuang's hand away, her almond-shaped eyes filled with resentment, and roaring, "It's all your fault! This is your room, you should be the one who dies!"

Cheng Shuang immediately took a few steps back with a cold face to create distance. Du Jun and Sun Han, who came out of the door, also tensed up. Sun Han's gentle voice was full of malice, "Your classmate insists on staying in this room, which only proves that he is deliberately courting death!"

“We didn’t go out of our way to give him the keys.” Du Jun pulled the girl aside, coldly glaring at Zhou Ting’s resentful face, and mocked, “The robber was blind and crashed into a lamppost on his way out. What, you’re blaming the victim he robbed!”

"You're all on the same side, you're being unreasonable." Zhou Ting instantly transformed into a wronged look, as if she was about to cry and refused to listen.

Lianrong and Han Meimei, being women themselves, weren't buying it. They stepped over the pool of blood around her and gently pushed open the small house on the east side.

The door was unlocked and creaked open, revealing the scene inside.

Zhou Ting screamed again, scrambled to her feet, and ran back to her original room, leaving bloody footprints with each step.

When the door opened, you could still hear two other girls mumbling complaints, "What are you doing so early in the morning?!"

"Ugh, this is so annoying! I want to sleep!"

"Huang Lang is dead."

"So what if you're dead? It's not like you're the one who died. Stop howling and go to sleep!"

Perhaps shocked by the sight of the dead in the room, Zhou Ting didn't say anything, and the two girls continued to sleep without interest. After a while, the room was quiet.

The male college student didn't even open the door.

The group of people standing in the courtyard looked at each other in bewilderment. Was that all?

Han Meimei shrugged helplessly. "For them, this isn't death, it's just a loser's quiet exit." After making the joke, her gaze shifted to the room, and her pupils suddenly contracted.

The burly boy lay on his back on the ground, his skin pale and bloodless, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling, his body covered with tiny holes like pores, from which blood hissed out.

It was unclear how long the person had been dead, but the bloodstains on their clothes had long since dried.

Han Meimei glanced at it and immediately retreated from the room, unable to bear looking at it any longer.

Cheng Shuang immediately went over and took her cold hand.

Han Meimei shook her head and whispered, "It's nothing, just trypophobia."

"Sister Han, why don't you come with me to see my grandpa and Brother Li? Why haven't they left yet?" Lianrong said worriedly. She knew her grandfather well; he was a light sleeper. If his roommate snored, he might get used to it and fall asleep, but he would never ignore Zhou Ting's two high-pitched screams.

"good!"

The two walked to the door next door, knocked twice, but received no answer. They exchanged a glance and then kicked the door open.

There was only one person in the room. His aged face was tinged with an unnatural bluish tinge. He lay unconscious on the bed, his chest rising and falling only slightly.

Han Meimei searched the entire room but couldn't find Li Lei.

Overnight, one died and one disappeared, and no one knew what had happened!
