Chapter 387 The doll is alive.

Cheng Shuang carried Luo An into the children's play area.

Even a little adult like her couldn't stand it, let alone adults; she almost had her eardrums burst and backed out the door.

The screams of the plastic doll were absolutely devastating. Even though Sun Han had warned her, Cheng Shuang still felt that she wasn't mentally prepared enough.

But she had no chance to back down. The plastic receptionist jogged over, her face devoid of features, painted with light-colored makeup, making her look even more strange.

After all, without pupils but with two thick black eyeliner lines, it's like a fragmented abstract human figure painting on a white canvas...

"Little friend, did your mom and dad go shopping? Come on in with me!"

The plastic receptionist reached out her cool, icy hand and very proactively took Cheng Shuang's hand.

Cheng Shuang tried to break free, but the other person wouldn't let go. While pulling her inside, the other person turned back, their pink lips curled up, their eyes vacant. "Little girl, don't be afraid, there are lots of friends inside to play with you!"

What are we going to play? Play the game of throwing our heads around like balls?

Cheng Shuang stared wide-eyed at the inflatable castle not far away. The plastic bear children were jumping and shouting inside the castle, taking off their arms and legs, and fighting non-stop as weapons. The scene was so chaotic that it was enough to make anyone explode on the spot.

The little girl took a deep breath, leaned back, and refused to walk any further.

The receptionist seemed to have encountered far too many unruly children, and quite kindly bent down to approach her, asking softly, "What's wrong?"

"Too close!" Cheng Shuang gasped, staring at the plastic figure whose face was almost touching hers, and suddenly screamed, "You're too close!"

The plastic receptionist quickly took two steps back, rubbed her ear, and kept smiling. "Very good, little friend, I can't wait to take you to play in the castle! A lively child like you will definitely be welcomed."

"I don't need you to take me." The little girl frowned and tried hard to pull her hand away. Looking down, she saw that the back of her hand was already red from being gripped so tightly.

She raised her hand high in a coquettish manner, right in front of the receptionist's eyes, "Look, look, it's all your fault, you made me hurt!"

The receptionist took another step back.

"You have to compensate me, or I'll tell my parents and have them file a complaint against you!"

This is the real deal when it comes to naughty kids.

The plastic receptionist had mostly encountered unreasonable and illogical children; this was the first time it had met a child who had a set of ideas and took the initiative so quickly.

It subconsciously looked up at the doorway, its thin black eyebrows furrowing as if puzzled.

Luo An perched on Cheng Shuang's shoulder, facing the doorway. Through its consciousness, it read aloud the contents of a small, inconspicuous screen near the door.

'Twelve-year-old girl, not a local, already has carnival shopping vouchers, good credit.'

Good reputation?

She could understand the previous points, but the phrase "good reputation" was full of deeper meaning.

Does this mean that the plastic staff at the shopping mall can secretly rate the maintenance workers?

What does credibility really represent?

Cheng Shuang strongly suspects that the reputation of shopping malls is actually a form of transformation of consumer spending power.

Some maintainers might have enough points, but they might not be willing to waste them in the Death Zone. However, she believes there aren't many maintainers like this. Every rest stop has a way to open a shop, and wherever there's trading, points won't be easy to accumulate. Therefore, maintainers of their level are probably just as poor as they are…

"Sorry, little friend, your skin is too delicate, I didn't notice!" The plastic receptionist deliberately spoke in a gentle voice. "Come with me, let's find some other children. Be good, I won't make things difficult for you."

There's no point in continuing this stalemate, Cheng Shuang snorted softly, and this time she quickly dodged its paw, raising her chin, "I'll stay with my sister."

The plastic receptionist was satisfied; without it, the child wouldn't be able to be controlled. But after taking only two steps, she heard, "You'd better behave, or else... I'll eat you up!"

The plastic receptionist was full of questions. It turned around, glanced at the innocent-looking little girl, and teased, "Alright! Big sister, you're waiting to eat me up!"

"Then it's settled!" Cheng Shuang said with a fake smile, holding Luo An's hand and patting the ghost doll's back repeatedly.

Before they even reached the inflatable castle, several plastic children rushed down from it and surrounded Cheng Shuang. The tallest of them was a centimeter or two taller than the little girl, while the others were all around 1.2 meters tall.

Their curious chatter was so loud it gave me a headache.

The plastic man's unique, shrill voice instantly transformed into a sonic attack. Cheng Shuang resisted the urge to cover her ears and dodged the children's outstretched hands.

They display both innocence and wickedness to the fullest extent, wanting to grab and touch their new companions without restraint out of curiosity.

Cheng Shuang felt a sharp pain in her braid, and her head involuntarily tilted back. Just before she was about to fall, she heard a snap.

"That doll is alive! That doll hit my hand!"

The boy screamed, his excitement tinged with a hint of panic, for in that instant, his hand was severed.

All the plastic children were incredibly excited and wanted to grab Luo An.

Cheng Shuang lifted Luo An high, looking down at all the little dwarfs, preventing them from touching the ghost doll, and then turned her head to look at the boy who was two centimeters taller than her.

You can't guess the boy's age from his clothes, but his hairstyle sets him apart from the other plastic figures. He has spiral bangs on his forehead, which are also made of hard plastic, so there's no need to worry about his hairstyle getting messy.

The boy, clutching his severed hand, hesitated to approach, yet also seemed restless, as if he wanted to do something mischievous.

She raised an eyebrow. "What nonsense are you talking about? How could a doll be alive!" She didn't believe that the plastic boy's eyesight could catch Luo An at such a speed. If he could catch Luo An so easily, the receptionist would probably have already taken the opportunity to make trouble.

Sure enough, the boy stammered for a while, then asked with confusion and doubt, "Then...then how did my hand fall off!?"

"It must be because you take your hands off so often, your joints have become loose at such a young age!"

The receptionist who had been watching the commotion from the sidelines... what an excuse!

"Let me tell you a little story." Cheng Shuang lowered her eyes, rolled her black eyes, and looked at the children with the whites of her eyes. Before the children could react, she said in a sinister tone, "Once upon a time, there was a little boy who loved to play war games with his hands and legs. He would use his head as a cannonball and launch it several times a day. Then, while he was playing, he couldn't find his head anymore. It was lying there, and his hands and legs were taken home by other children and could never be found again!"

The little girl said lightly, "It's broken!"

Silence.

It's not just crippled; it's reached this point where a head transplant is equivalent to a complete body transplant!

A burst of laughter and tears ensued.

As soon as Cheng Shuang started, the plastic receptionist had a bad feeling, but the little girl was talking too fast and there was no time to stop her. As a result, the crying echoed throughout the children's play area, and the sound spread like wildfire, with children in other play areas also starting to cry.

One by one, they began calling out to their parents at a high decibel level.

The receptionist's pale face immediately turned ashen.
