As it turns out, they were overthinking things.
The door remained unmoved. After pushing it a couple more times, a line of text appeared on it: "Do not pull or yank the sensor door!"
Alright, the group settled back down by the floor-to-ceiling window, stared blankly at the distant lights for ten minutes, then looked at each other in silence and dispersed.
"Should we expand our private rooms first, or go check out the changes in the open mall?" Du Lanshan immediately perked up, his eyes crinkling into slits with laughter.
"Let's go to the room. I want to expand the room to 200 square meters, dividing it into an inner and outer room, and putting a super-sized princess bed in the inner room." Cheng Shuang rubbed her little hands excitedly, her eyes sparkling like stars.
The adults had no objections, and since the youngest girl had made a rare request, they naturally indulged her.
Seeing the others nod and smile, Cheng Shuang happily picked up the teddy bear, walked through the alley that served as a storage room, and arrived in the living room. She quickly pushed open the bedroom door, her private space. She had already mentally visualized the room's layout, so she wouldn't waste any time.
She first buried her head in the hole, then couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" She then waved to everyone, her eyes crinkling like a cute little lucky cat, "Want to come and see? Want to come and see?"
Such a warm invitation prompted the others to immediately follow her inside.
The suite is divided into three parts. The first part is a large living room with a comfortable sofa. On the left and right of the sofa are some small play toys, such as seesaws, swings, mini carousels, castle puzzles, and secret rooms, which are full of childlike fun.
The little girl scratched her cheek. "When I'm studying or exercising, the bear cubs have space to play." She quickly added, "If Sister Liu Juan or you come over, there's plenty of room to sit and chat."
Cheng Shuang has been in poor health since childhood. Although her classmates do not ostracize her, they do not deliberately try to befriend her and always treat her with some caution.
In fact, the little girl has never had any friends her own age. The other three members of her family also have to work and study. Especially after her older sister went to middle school, her extracurricular tutoring and interest classes kept her too busy to come home on time. Her parents also occasionally work overtime, which is why she has so much free time to study.
Because she was young, and the electronic products were children's devices with GPS positioning, she only got a smartphone after her parents replaced their phones. So, the only thing she had with her most of the time was her teddy bear.
At this moment, Cheng Shuang's cheeks flushed slightly. It was the first time she had formally invited her companion to her room, and the young girl was a little embarrassed.
"Okay, after we finish studying the upgraded mall, I'll go get some food and we can have a meal together in your room, how about that?" Liu Juan patted the little girl's head, looked at the MINI carousel, and pouted, "I really want to ride that one."
Du Lanshan laughed heartily, his straightforwardness evident in his voice: "Hahaha, this is the legendary saying, 'Who isn't a little princess!'"
Liu Juan gave a fake smile, "Brother Du is the legendary straight man, destined to be single forever!"
To avoid the spread of the war to themselves, Du Lushu and Sun Han surrounded Cheng Shuang and continued the introduction.
The inner room was the large princess bed that Cheng Shuang had mentioned, surrounded by several smaller beds, each with a name on its headboard. From "Bear Baby" to "Dragon Flame," each bed had a different color scheme. Bear Baby's was brown and black, "Sangsang Guai" preferred pure white, and "Luo An," being a ten-in-one ghost doll, had a variety of bedding colors that could be changed every day. "Dragon Flame" favored red and gold.
Opposite the bed is a large wardrobe, and on both sides of the wall are many small wardrobes of the same style but different colors.
There is a soft, thick carpet in front of the bed, so your feet won't get cold when you play on the floor.
Now everyone can understand why the little girl wanted a big bedroom. It seems that 200 square meters might not be enough in the future.
The innermost room was Cheng Shuang's original bedroom, with a bunk bed. It was small and cozy. Several adults glanced at it from outside the door but didn't dare to intrude into her private space.
The others adjusted the room's shortcomings accordingly, keeping most of the style largely unchanged, focusing on expanding the space and adding soundproofing equipment.
Sun Han set up an observatory corner in his room, with a professional telescope quietly set up there, which was much more sophisticated than the binoculars that Du Jun had contributed.
Whether it's luxurious home decor or special hobbies, as long as they don't involve lethal weapons, these can all be satisfied in a private space.
"Brother Sun is indeed very clever," Du Lanshan exclaimed. "I didn't even think of that just now."
"I was inspired by Shuangshuang," Sun Han explained with a smile. If small amusement rides could be moved into a room, then larger rides should be able to as well. He could take the books from his study to a convenience store; similarly, a telescope wouldn't be out of the question.
With everyone's rooms modified, the Du brothers, their faces beaming with excitement, carried the binoculars and tripod back to the convenience store, slowly adjusting the optical axis to pinpoint the distant light...
"It's... a sign for a public restroom!"
The convenience store fell silent.
If it's a rest stop, well, a public restroom as a rest stop is quite unique!
The other party was clearly trying their best to communicate with the maintenance personnel on the other side. There was a piece of toilet paper stuck to the small glass window of the bathroom, with the coordinates DZ-GGWSJ33 written on it.
"Even though it's a restroom, having a rest stop is better than nothing." Sun Han wiped his sweat, glanced back at the rows of snacks and daily necessities in the store, and felt particularly guilty about what he had said. For some reason, he didn't want to continue communicating with his compatriot across the street, afraid that the other person would be so jealous that they would experience plasmolysis.
