Cheng Shuang's willingness to expose her spatial dimension does not mean that she trusts the character of the people present.
Rather, it's because the background world of Resident Evil covers a wide range, unlike the semi-closed town of Silent Hill, where there are fewer people, but that doesn't mean there are fewer malicious people.
Resident Evil is different. The Umbrella Corporation is single-mindedly trying to capture Alice, but Alice survives one ordeal after another entirely on her own.
Then why can't she?
If she is indeed captured and used as an experimental subject, it is purely her own fault for being incompetent, and she can only take it as a lesson learned through blood and tears.
Furthermore, she entered the world of single tickets to hone her escape and self-rescue skills, so it's impossible for her to be afraid of trouble.
Although Cheng Shuang hadn't seen the later installments of the Resident Evil series, Du Lanshan kept mentioning Alice's prowess.
She completely integrated with the virus, her body was modified to have superpowers, and she embarked on a life full of protagonist glory, ultimately destroying the Umbrella Corporation.
"And cloning and the like," Du Lanshan muttered hastily, but Cheng Shuang didn't pay much attention.
After agreeing on a meeting point, the group quickly dispersed.
Alice was tasked with ensuring the safety of the 'evidence,' while Kaplan and Rain took Matt away. Of course, Cheng Shuang gave them an antidote to prevent Matt's condition from worsening.
Alice pulled Cheng Shuang along, and the demon baby obediently lay on Cheng Shuang's back. The two of them originally planned to crawl out through the bathroom window, but as soon as they closed the bathroom door, they heard the noisy voices of Kaplan and Rain.
"They took the elevator?" Cheng Shuang asked, slightly surprised, her ears perked up.
Alice's eyes flickered; it seemed that the four of them hadn't fully told Cheng Shuang the result of their discussion.
The little girl pursed her lips. It's all because she's too outstanding, which is why people have to be wary of her!
From one perspective, there's nothing wrong with these seemingly arrogant remarks.
If Cheng Shuang were just an ordinary little girl, Alice and the others would never have been so wary. The problem is that she is extraordinary, and the way she appeared is even more extraordinary.
The little girl made a shushing gesture to Alice, pretending not to see the guilt and urgency in the woman's eyes, and listened intently.
Ryan yelled angrily, "What are you doing? He's still injured!"
Kaplan must have been fighting with someone. He groaned and then fell silent for a few seconds.
The sounds of fighting soon resumed, accompanied by Rain's scream, "Let Matt go! He needs the antidote!"
Matt's voice was desperate and powerless, "Let me go, save me!"
Alice clenched her fists, wanting to rush out several times, but hesitated when she saw Cheng Shuang by the door.
Cheng Shuang turned around and asked softly, "Should we save them?"
“I’ll go myself!” Alice said through gritted teeth.
The little girl wanted to roll her eyes. No wonder she's the female lead; she knows there's a pit ahead, but she still insists on jumping in.
However, if it were her, she would make the same choice for her companions.
So Cheng Shuang sighed and said apologetically, "I will wait for you to return at the meeting point."
Although the possibility is very small.
Because at the end of the first movie, Alice was captured by the Umbrella Corporation, which had been preparing for this, and brought back to the laboratory, which allowed her to achieve her extraordinary life of fusion virus.
For the other supporting characters, the experience in the laboratory was a death knell, but for the female lead, it was a crucial moment to turn the tide.
Watching Cheng Shuang wave goodbye to her, Aili was not surprised at all. She could not expect a child to accompany her into danger. Both morality and conscience prevented her from thinking that way, even if the child was quite capable.
She patted the little girl on the shoulder and told her, "Take good care of yourself!"
"Don't worry, I'm here and the stuff is here." The little girl gave an OK sign, and without a trace of hesitation, she carried the demon baby and climbed out of the window.
She pressed herself against the windowsill and turned to look, only to see Alice striding confidently out of the room without turning her head.
Turning her head to look outside again, the little girl immediately felt an urge to call Alice back.
Because at some point, the area outside the door was filled with people wearing protective suits and carrying weapons, as well as a heavy passageway erected for isolation and protection.
It's fair to say that these people surrounded the entire villa, their posture of waiting for the rabbit to run into the tree stump was very obvious, and struggling would only be futile.
Luo An's teleportation could not pass through the barrier; those thick passages used for isolation were not as simple as ordinary plastic sheeting.
Cheng Shuang slowly raised her hand to show weakness, her slightly lowered eyes concealing her deep thoughts.
However, all considerations were no match for certain effective methods. When the little girl smelled a faint scent, her heart sank and she knew something was wrong.
As I turned around, the people in protective suits filed into the restroom, blocking the door completely, and the smell became even stronger.
Cheng Shuang's head was spinning, her eyes felt glued shut, and she was so sleepy that she didn't even have the strength to resist. At the same time, the person in the isolation suit shouted, "Where's that child! The one with the blue skin?"
"I don't know, I didn't see it!"
"I didn't have any! It was just here a moment ago!"
"Search! We must find out everything."
These were the last words she vaguely heard.
A search is impossible; the demonic infant isn't a zombie controlled by them, so why would it willingly walk into their trap?
The demonic infant forced into hiding: Ahhh, Death Dragon Twins, let me out! I can take on a hundred of them by myself!
Cheng Shuang's treatment was not as good as Alice's, because while she was in a coma, she was chosen to enter the Nemesis Project and was immediately injected with the virus.
The result was astonishing: there was no response whatsoever.
The so-called "no reaction" is like a healthy person receiving an injection of glucose or saline solution, which, once ingested, doesn't even cause a ripple in the body.
