Big White coughed lightly, "Little Seven, give me the coordinates after we get off the Ferris wheel. I can go back and discuss it with the stationmaster. If everyone agrees, then we'll have a chance to become long-term partners!"
Xiao Qi immediately raised his head, his gloomy face instantly returning to normal. His smile widened, and he excitedly rushed over to give Da Bai a hug.
"Thank you, thank you!" He smiled, his eyes slightly moist, "I was actually a little hesitant, thinking maybe I should just stay! Thank you, Big White!"
Big White raised an eyebrow, his dark pupils flashing slightly. "Your idea is wrong."
Xiao Qi quickly explained, "I didn't mean it that way at first, it was just now, I was so disappointed!" Then he hurriedly looked at Cheng Shuang, "I didn't mean to force you, and I certainly didn't mean to morally blackmail you, I don't know how to explain it!"
"No need for explanations!" Gong Zhu shrugged. "If we keep explaining, perhaps all five of us will consider staying and becoming hosts instead of guests." He pointed out the window. "Look! The fog is coming!"
The fog arrived quickly, seemingly enveloping them in the blink of an eye after they had exchanged a few words. Wisps of fog seeped into the cabin through the cracks and holes in the windows, and those with the weakest mental strength were the first to be affected.
"The only way now is to break the old and build the new. Let's go down and see where the fog is coming from." Sihai and Gongzhu's large cloaks provided some cover, Dabai quickly wove a full suit of armor for himself, and Xiaoqi recited a poem.
"The moon of Qin shines on the pass of Han, the soldiers on the long march have not returned. If only the Flying General of Lu City were here, the barbarian horses would not dare to cross the Yin Mountains."
After he finished reciting the poem, a white light flashed and protected him.
Big White couldn't help but exclaim, "That's amazing!"
Xiaoqi blushed slightly again, like a student who had been recognized by her teacher, and smiled excitedly, revealing crow's feet.
Wearing the black cat Difio card, Cheng Shuang propped up her two cat ears and stared longingly at Xiao Qi, the simple and honest young man. Then she glanced at the cunning Hai and the arrogant and glib Gong, and sighed and lowered her head. Gong Zhu, annoyed, roughly ruffled the girl's hair.
When he was a Lolita girl, I never saw this child dislike him so much. Even children are like this. The world is so dark!
Now that the five had a temporary means of protection from the fog, they acted without delay and each used their own methods to jump off the Ferris wheel.
Big White is still using the stealth drop tower, but this time he's bringing Little Seven with him.
Sihai rode on the claw of the Dragon Flame, which transformed Gong Zhu, while Cheng Shuang relied entirely on the black cat's unique jumping ability and the Sang Sang Monster's protection to climb all the way from the Ferris wheel to the ground.
The five people gathered, and the fog on the ground had become so thick that it was almost impossible to see one's own hand in front of one's face.
Big White suggested, "Why don't we hold hands to avoid getting separated?"
“Okay!” The other four agreed without question.
“I know the way.” Sihai closed his eyes and thought for a moment. The exit was directly in front of him, and the ticket booth was on his left. If they considered their current location as a parallel space to the food street, there must be a key point to break down the barrier.
He guessed it was the cave he hadn't been able to enter the previous night.
Cheng Shuang, however, disagreed, saying, "It can't be that simple. If someone has been monitoring our actions, do you think they might already know what we did last night?"
"What place are you analyzing?" Sihai countered. "What if you're overcomplicating things?"
“That’s possible.” Cheng Shuang didn’t think her guess was 100% correct. “I think there’s another place we can consider.”
"where?"
"Bus parking lot".
Apart from Sihai nodding knowingly, the other three looked completely bewildered. Clearly, they didn't engage in any mental activity and had no idea what was wrong with these two locations that could break the deadlock.
Now was not the time to explain. Sihai took the lead, pulling a group of people toward the cave.
The two places are in completely opposite positions, so one of them must be eliminated first, no matter what.
The cave was chosen because it was closest to the Ferris wheel.
As the five of them walked, they suddenly had a feeling.
The feeling was exactly the same as when they first boarded the Ferris wheel—it was so peaceful, as if they had only encountered an ordinary fog, without any monsters, and even the alluring effect was waning.
But gradually, Cheng Shuang realized something was wrong. She was in the middle, and the two people in front of and behind her let go of her hand at the same time.
The fog was so thick that you couldn't see anything even face-to-face.
The little girl gasped, suddenly recalling the thick fog she encountered when she was resurrected after dying in the convenience store and first stepped out of it.
Although the scenes are different, the loneliness of being separated from family and friends and all alone is no different.
She calmed herself down and did not chase after them. Instead, she found her direction and continued walking forward.
Sihai said that the cave and the bus parking lot are diagonally opposite each other. As long as she finds the location of the cave without veering off course, she can turn around and keep walking to find the location of the parking lot.
Of course, this is on the premise that no external factors affect her route.
In the realm of death, anything can happen. For example, the fog around her gradually began to dissipate, and the world before her eyes slowly began to change.
The ghastly, twisted dead trees resembled a burned-out forest, with the ominous cawing of crows on the trees and rustling sounds as if small animals were scurrying around one's feet, yet no living creature could be seen.
Cheng Shuang immediately stopped moving; the power of the mist was greater than they had imagined.
