Chapter 541 Timeline

Through the boy's methods of pursuit, Cheng Shuang confirmed one thing: the boy and the girl were essentially the same person.

As for why the age and gender are different, there aren't actually many differences. The little boy grows up, his hair grows longer, and he changes into women's clothes. What else is there to differentiate them?

She grasped the key point.

Timeline.

Make a bold assumption.

The float took them into the past of the mastermind behind the scenes. The green hills and grass did not swallow the mountains because they were a way of expressing the mountains.

The mountain, which hunts for food in the green grass and feeds itself, is still a newborn child.

Later, it learned that it couldn't devour everything and needed to develop gradually, which led to the growth of all things.

Plants, animals, blue sky and white clouds—Cheng Shuang couldn't guess whether humans would appear, but one thing was certain: the wanderers hadn't overlooked this pristine land.

Each planet has its own ancient legends, and the Taotie on Earth was so ferocious that it even ate itself.

It's uncertain whether Qingshan's true identity is Taotie, but their attributes should be similar: gluttony and a love of food.

Now we have to add another one: they're just like naughty kids; when they're unhappy, they start tearing the house apart.

As Cheng Shuang ran while hugging a tree, she saw one large tree after another break because of her. So she simply leaned back and rode the wind upwards.

She can't just stop running; she's just running around in circles anyway.

Upon discovering this fact, the little girl chose not to struggle. As the whirlwind carried her back to the picnic mat where they had started running, she glared angrily at the little boy who was also suspended in the air and began to curse him.

"You're a bad guy, you're untrustworthy, you're a liar!"

The little boy, who was originally furious, was completely stunned. The first lesson he learned before he grew up was not what people say, but that when women get angry, no matter how old they are, they like to turn the tables on others.

Most importantly, the human child who had deceived him was about to shove the bottle into the unknown space he couldn't fathom. The thought that he would never have the liquid he longed for filled the little boy with anger, but also a different kind of emotion.

It feels like something important has been taken away, leaving me feeling bitter and wronged!

Her purple eyes held the stars, like a sky that had just rained, damp and clear, and when she looked at people, she was like the most innocent and harmless baby.

Cheng Shuang gradually fell silent, feeling like she was bullying a kindergarten child, and felt neither a sense of accomplishment nor a bit guilty.

However, purple eyes are really pretty.

Considering that the person in front of her was probably a baby monster, the young girl finally had a change of heart and shook the bottle, intending to use something the other person was interested in to start a conversation.

However, due to being caught in the wind, Cheng Shuang was having difficulty breathing, her hair was flying everywhere, and her appearance was in a bad state. The fact that she wasn't swaying was entirely thanks to the wine bottle she was holding.

With a shake, the cork couldn't withstand the pressure and popped off. The little boy shuddered, and the hurricane followed, causing the bottle to tip over. The little girl also slipped from her grasp and plunged headfirst into the liquid.

The little boy... suddenly snapped out of his daze and started making a series of "ee-ee-ee-ee" sounds.

To Cheng Shuang, whose ears were constantly falling, it sounded like a series of mocking laughs: Hehehehe...

Well, the misunderstanding has only deepened.

The little girl, in a fit of rage, clenched her fists as she fell freely. Just as she was about to hit the ground, the little bear leaped down, jumped high, and caught her.

Neither the man nor the bear saw that beneath their feet, rows of green grass bent low, their soft, elastic branches seemingly waiting for someone to fall.

The little boy breathed a slight sigh of relief when he saw that the human cub had been safely rescued, but seeing that her little face was deathly pale, he looked down at the huge brown bear and quickly made a series of "Eek" sounds.

The brown bear not only ignored him, but also bared its teeth and roared at him, its face full of ferocity and disdain.

The little boy tilted his head in confusion, clearly regarding the bear cub as an ordinary animal in his territory, which was now disobeying his commands and displaying a defiant attitude.

"Eh? Eh? Eh? Eh?"

Cheng Shuang was even angrier. What? He couldn't deal with her with a hurricane, so he cursed and blamed the baby bear for saving her?

"I'm so angry!" The little girl nestled in the bear's chest, but her imposing manner was as if she were two meters and eighty centimeters tall, as she stared at the little boy with raised eyebrows.

The little boy tilted his head, puzzled, and slowly fell. As the liquid spilled onto the ground, he tasted a little bit of it—sweet, but not as delicious as he remembered.

But for some reason, after drinking some sweet water, his mind suddenly became clearer, and he realized a problem: the human cub didn't understand what he was saying.

So... it was a misunderstanding?

He floated to the giant bear's side, his gaze fixed on the clumsy human. He tentatively held up five fingers, pointed outwards, and accompanied them with a slowed-down "eh eh eh" explanation.

Cheng Shuang was even more swift; she pounced on him, grabbed the little boy's neck, and delivered a fatal neck strike.

Clearly, the little boy thought the other person had given him a warm hug. His fair face flushed slightly. It was the first time he had encountered a human child with whom he could 'communicate'.

Unlike those who grew up on this land, who would kneel down and murmur praises upon his appearance, he remained kneeling, trembling, no matter what he said.

Nevertheless, the presence of these people remained the only embellishment in his barren and hungry life.

However, he only slept for a short while, and when he opened his eyes, the world had changed drastically!
