Chapter 636 A Walking Dead

Cheng Shuang's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked over.

In the coffee shop, Liu Juan lay on the ground covered in blood, while Qing Lang chased after a man in a black trench coat, who broke through a window, his face contorted with rage.

Ignoring Qianli's shouts, the little girl turned and ran back to the coffee shop, brushing past Qinglang who was chasing after her again. She concealed the fierce look in her eyes and suppressed the urge to kick Qinglang.

Liu Juan is now of greater importance.

The café reeked of blood, and the crowd scattered in terror, screaming and creating a commotion.

Cheng Shuang deftly took off her school uniform jacket and put it in her hand to cover the traces of a weapon. As she ran towards Liu Juan, she kept her eyes peeled and, sure enough, spotted a woman carrying a cold weapon around a corner.

The other party's target was Liu Juan, who was lying on the ground and barely alive.

Liu Juan's injuries originated from two areas: her chest and her abdomen.

Two holes were ripped out of his heart and abdomen.

The young girl's eyes were bloodshot with hatred. Without even checking on Liu Juan's condition, she preemptively fired a shot without hesitation, leaving a bloody mark on the woman's forehead before it exploded.

While there may be time to administer medication elsewhere, the head is the only truly effective area.

The woman fell to the ground, and another wave of chaotic screams erupted.

If there are three maintainers in a group, then there's still one person left!

Cheng Shuang's eyes were dark and inscrutable as she coldly surveyed the chaotic crowd. Every face looked terrified, as innocent as ordinary people who had been frightened.

But she believed that the last person was in the crowd.

After all, they risked exposing a comrade's danger, not just to eliminate a competitor.

The little girl felt an overwhelming chill throughout her body. Her eyes darted around warily without blinking. She took out a powder pill and poured it onto Liu Juan's lips.

What she didn't see was that Liu Juan trembled as she caught the pink pill, and instead put a few red pills to stop the bleeding into her mouth. She knew that her time was running out; having lost her heart, even her repairman skills couldn't save her life.

Why waste a young girl's skills to save someone who can't be saved?

She just hoped that, at the last moment, she would have time to say a few words to her companion.

Cheng Shuang lowered her eyes as her ankle was gently grasped, tears falling to the ground. Liu Juan opened her mouth and smiled, "Don't cry!"

The coffee shop was empty; everyone had run out. Only a female corpse and the injured Liu Juan remained on the ground. Cheng Shuang closed her eyes, squatted down, and wiped the blood splattered on Liu Juan's cheek.

“Bao’er, Sister Juan wants to talk to you.”

Holding Liu Juan's hand, which was gradually losing its warmth, Cheng Shuang forced a smile, "Yes, I'm listening!"

“Your sister Juan wasn’t a good woman before. She was deceived by a man in college, and only found out he was already married when she got pregnant.” Liu Juan swallowed a mouthful of blood and smiled bitterly. “Later, his wife came to our door, and I learned the truth. His wife couldn’t get pregnant, so the two of them used this method to leave a child for that man. I was so stupid back then, thinking that it would be better for the child to live with him than with me, a mother who had to drop out of school because of pregnancy and had an elderly grandmother to support. How stupid I was!”

The naive Liu Juan watched helplessly as the man took away her newly weaned child. She resolved never to become someone's mistress and completely severed all ties with the man. A year later, however, she couldn't bear to miss her child any longer and went to the man's place. She secretly stayed for a few days, only to learn from the neighbors that her daughter had died in the hospital six months earlier, suffering severe burns all over her body in an accident, and had been abandoned by the man and his wife.

Liu Juan was on the verge of collapse. If it weren't for the fact that her elderly parents were still waiting for her to support them, she would have almost followed her daughter in death.

"Don't trust men, Bao'er. When you grow up, don't trust men!" Liu Juan's eyes flickered. At this moment, she didn't cry because she was about to die. On the contrary, Cheng Shuang felt that she was relieved. Perhaps the moment she learned that her daughter had died, Liu Juan had already died. What was left was just a shell burdened with guilt, anger, and sadness.

Liu Juan gripped Cheng Shuang's hand tightly, her emotions slightly agitated. Her face contorted with rage, she uttered only the final four words, "Kill... Qing Lang!"

Liu Juan was dead. Her eyes were wide open, and her snow-white skin was completely bloodless.

Cheng Shuang silently collected all the weapons and pills she had taken from the spatial storage before her death, gently closed her eyes, leaned over and hugged her, and then put her body into the spatial storage.

Her eyes remained expressionless, but her heart was like a raging sea, filled with two words: Qinglang!

It turns out the third person was him!

The sound of police sirens rang out outside the door. Cheng Shuang turned around and ran towards the hotel stairs, picking up the unfamiliar female corpse along the way. When she reached the rooftop, she saw all the police officers pouring into the coffee shop from the high rooftop. She then activated her butterfly wings.

Downstairs at the hotel, Qianli desperately tried to break through the encirclement to enter the scene of the crime. He punched and kicked the police officers who tried to stop him, but was taken away in a police car.

Cheng Shuang wasn't worried about him; a child's concern for a classmate couldn't be considered assaulting a police officer.

However, the Kawakami family can no longer return.

I don't know why, but young girls these days have an excessively calm expression; they even seem to be thinking about what to do next.

But a gentle breeze brushed against my cheek, bringing a refreshing coolness.

She wiped her face, wetting her palms.

Something collapses in the heart, and something is reshaped in the mind.

Humans are nothing more than this: insignificant, fragile, and terrifyingly despicable!

Du Jun learned about Cheng Shuang and Liu Juan from the news, including the man who cried bitterly because he lost his wife's body, which he also saw on TV.
