Cheng Shuang frowned slightly, a sense of wariness growing within her towards this overly tall man.
Several more sheets of paper were handed in, and the punk man spoke again, holding up a form, his tone strange, "This participant is so young? Has their guardian arrived?"
"It's me!" Liao Yuewei raised her hand to indicate. She was wearing a red fitted T-shirt, revealing her fair arms, and every move she made exuded charm.
The man looked up, his dark circles brightening, and his impatient expression turned fawning. "Beautiful lady, what's your name? Where's this child? What's your relationship to her?"
"I'm Liao Yuewei, the child's sister-in-law." Liao Yuewei's voice was gentle. "She probably went into the classroom out of curiosity, so I called her out."
Upon hearing the words "sister-in-law," the man paused in his search of forms, his expression immediately changing. He coldly ordered, "Tell her not to wander off. Keep an eye on her. This abandoned school is quite large; if she gets lost, there won't be time to look for her."
Before Liao Yuewei could answer, he clapped his hands and shouted, "We should gather together now."
Liao Yuewei smiled gently and pushed open the classroom door closest to her.
Almost all the other classrooms had their doors wide open. If Cheng Shuang heard the word "gathering," she should appear, unless the door was closed and the sound was not obvious.
Sure enough, a slender figure stood at the window. The stained glass window was pushed open a crack, and the setting sun shone on her, sweeping away the dark and damp atmosphere in the classroom.
Come and see them!
Liao Yuewei raised an eyebrow and quickly walked over. "What's wrong?"
She stood beside the little girl and followed her gaze downstairs.
