Chapter 96, Class 3, Grade 3

The scenery on the second floor was completely different from the desolation and decadence they had encountered when they first arrived, which greatly disappointed Liao Yuewei, who still harbored illusions and hoped that she could instantly return to reality after pushing open the door to the stairwell.

The dim yellow lights, the bright sun shining through the colorful windows, and the sound of reading coming from the classrooms create a world apart.

With her schoolbag on her back, Cheng Shuang had the illusion of going back to school, except that this school was too retro, somewhat like the architectural style of the schools from the War of Resistance against Japan that her elders liked to see.

Each classroom has its own class number hanging on it, and Class 3 of Grade 3 is located in the middle of the corridor.

The window on the door wasn't big; a quick glance revealed that the seats were basically full.

It seems that impersonation is not an option; we can only be flexible and adaptable.

Almost as soon as the two stood at the door, a gentle female voice inside immediately called out, "Who's late? Come in quickly, class is about to start!"

Cheng Shuang and Liao Yuewei looked at each other in bewilderment.

Cheng Shuang asked softly, "Go in?"

Liao Yuewei nodded stiffly.

The little girl took Liao Yuewei's hand and pushed the door open, saying, "Teacher, I twisted my ankle, so I'm late!"

"Ah? Luo Qi, how did you get so badly injured?" Behind the podium, a beautiful young female teacher, dressed in a dark gray two-piece long dress that added to her solemnity, looked at Cheng Shuang's ankle in surprise. "Go sit down quickly and go to the infirmary after class. Now listen carefully to the lesson, or the head of student affairs will be angry when he comes to inspect."

Even though she was scared, Liao Yuewei was still shocked by what she saw.

Cheng Shuang's height was visibly elongated, reaching about 1.56 meters. Her facial features also gradually changed, with her eyes turning upwards and her peach blossom eyes transforming into phoenix eyes. Her lips were thin and red, and she shed her childish innocence, gaining more of a girlish gentleness. When she straightened her face, she had a kind of willful feeling.

"Song Zijiao, what about you? Luo Qi twisted her ankle, what happened to you?" The female teacher looked at Liao Yuewei with some dissatisfaction and scolded her in a low voice, "It's one thing for you two to pass notes in class when you're close, but you're delaying yourselves. Today, being late has delayed the whole class!"

Liao Yuewei instantly realized that her 1.72-meter height had shrunk, her gaze had shifted from looking up to looking straight ahead, and her chest was now completely flat...

Her little one, whom she had painstakingly fattened up, had suddenly become thin and gone. She was inexplicably angry and irritated!

"When I accompanied Luo Qi to the doctor, we ran into the teacher, who said she would help Luo Qi get her medicine, and then we went back to class."

This explanation is very stiff.

Cheng Shuang tilted her head curiously to look at the woman who was now only a few centimeters taller than her—a baby-faced girl with a bob haircut and an innocent look, completely the opposite of the beautiful older sister. But... why was the beautiful older sister angry?

No wonder people say women shouldn't get angry; when they do, they not only become incredibly strong but also fearless...

Liao Yuewei's eyes widened as she stared intently at the teacher on the podium, making the gentle-looking teacher back away and her voice become much weaker, "Well... thank you, Song Zijiao. Please... please go back to your seat? Oh, right, Luo Qi, you should sit down too!"

Three desks in the classroom were empty, but more than thirty pairs of eyes were fixed on them, their gazes inscrutable, and their expressions identical.

Having endured the scrutiny of the Lineman's gaze, Cheng Shuang remained unfazed and calmly surveyed the seating arrangement.

There are a total of six rows and six columns of tables and chairs. Starting from the window seats, the third seat in the first row by the window is empty, the third seat in the adjacent second row is empty, and the fifth seat in the fifth row is empty.

Liao Yuewei was caught up in her impulse and completely ignored the dense and bizarre stares in front of her. The three-choice-two-out-of-three challenge was obviously no problem for a woman who had lost a C and was hoping for an A. She felt that she had made up for everything she had lost with courage. If she were to confront the trash in the room now, she... no, she couldn't.

When her hem was tugged, Liao Yuewei immediately deflated like a punctured balloon, glancing listlessly at Cheng Shuang before gripping her hand tightly to prevent her legs from giving way.

"Teacher, can I ask a classmate to help me to my seat?" The little girl tilted her head and acted cute. It has to be said that her face, which is not particularly pretty but has its own unique features, revealed her sweet temperament when she smiled, softening the sharpness of Luo Qi's features.

"Okay." The teacher nodded. "Class monitor, you can come here!"

The seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl sitting in the first seat of the fourth row stood up. Cheng Shuang's eyes lit up. She had seen this pretty young lady in her dream. She was the female student ghost who was following her 'brother' Cheng Dong.

The little girl eagerly broke free from Liao Yuewei's arm and rushed towards the class monitor.

The girl paused, momentarily stunned, then caught her petite classmate with a friendly smile, "Come on!"

Cheng Shuang followed her to the empty table by the window. Instead of sitting down immediately, she glanced at the girl's chest and sincerely praised, "Miss Qianyu, you are so beautiful and kind-hearted!"

The little girl can charm everyone with her sweet words, otherwise her older sister wouldn't have gone from a model sister to a doting, tyrannical sister.

Liao Yuewei stared in disbelief as she watched the girl's pale face flush slightly pink. She shyly pulled Cheng Shuang, who was looking at her with a smile, and turned to the empty table next to her, saying with a smile, "Look, you've sat in the wrong seat again. That seat is Song Zijiao's. This is yours."

His gentle expression was much more sincere than his previous politeness.

Cheng Shuang immediately said in a crisp voice, "Thank you, Miss Qianyu! Ah!" The girl raised her eyebrows, "Miss, you have something on your face!"

"What is it?" Wu Qianyu subconsciously touched her face, and just as she was about to look for a mirror, she heard, "It's a little sweet!"
