Chapter 128: The weak tribe is the key to victory?

Aruna happily came to attend the tribal leaders' meeting with her father Bater.

She sang moving songs along the way, sometimes riding her chestnut horse away from the team and rushing forward, sometimes returning to gallop towards her father, returning to his side with a happy smile.

The puppy Snowball seemed to sense his owner's mood and ran back and forth with great joy.

Bater was worried because his tribe was the weakest among the nine tribes on the grassland. Every change of the Khan's position represented a re-gathering of the forces of the various tribes on the grassland.

The result of each regrouping and taking sides was that the interests of his small tribe were once again infringed upon.

When the old Khan was in power, he gave a piece of their traditional territory to the Darhan tribe. The reason was that the Darhan tribe had many people and many cattle and sheep, as if they should not need it and should give it up.

During the reign of the recently deceased Khan, after several battles between the tribal alliances, he distributed the smallest and most useless "spoils of war" to them. These were all things left over by others and of little value.

Clearly, their tribe fought bloody battles, and so many warriors died. If we count them by headcount, each of them killed the most enemies and defended the most territory. Are the people of their tribe not human? Did those warriors die in vain?

Bater knew that his three sons were all holding a grudge, but the strength was there, and how could the weak talk about fairness? He did not dare to bring his sons to the alliance meeting, fearing that the young men's bad temper would cause trouble.

Normally, at such a gathering, he should at least bring his eldest son along. In the end, he brought his daughter, Aruna, who had grown up and was as beautiful as a gesang flower.

Bringing a son might lead to an enemy, but bringing a daughter might lead to a possible marriage.

The eldest son of the Alashan tribe is smart and lively, while the youngest son is calm and introverted. If it weren't for the obvious height difference between the two brothers, the younger brother, who is four years younger, would be more like the older brother.

He often poured a basin of cold water on his elder brother when he got too excited.

The moment Bayar, the eldest son of the Alashan tribe, saw Aruna, he felt that he must marry her.

So this is the meaning of life!

After hearing this, his younger brother Bayin poured a basin of ice water on her: "I think she likes the eldest prince Qinggertai, our new Khan."

Bayardeng sat up suddenly and asked, "How did you figure that out?"

Bayin said: "The way she looks at Qinggertai is similar to the way you look at her."

Bayar said: "Qinggertai has a wife. I will marry her to be my wife."

Bayin said: "But she likes Qinggertai."

Bayar thought: I didn't hear this sentence, he fell down again: "Ask my father to propose marriage tomorrow!"

"Hey!" He patted Bayin: "You're going to have a sister-in-law!"

Bayin glanced at him and said: "Dad has fallen in love with the girl from the Korchin family."

Bayar was shocked and sat up again: "Dad wants to marry a young girl?!"

Bayin gave him a look and said, "Dad wants you to marry a girl from the Khorchin family."

Bayar asked, "Isn't the girl from the Khorchin family the iceberg? She looks like a perfect match for our new Khan, two icebergs."

Bayin said, "Dad won't let you marry Aruna. That tribe is the weakest of the nine tribes on the grassland. The woman you marry must be from a tribe that is as powerful as ours."

The Torghut tribe had different ideas.

The Khorchin tribe was the maternal clan of the new Khan, the Darhan tribe was a die-hard tribe of the recently deceased Khan, and the Alashan tribe was a die-hard tribe of the new Khan.

These tribes formed a core circle.

Although the Torghut tribe is quite powerful, it is not in the core circle after all. It seems that the Alashan tribe is also interested in marrying into the Khorchin tribe.

Their connection is getting closer and closer, and it's not good for me to be alone. I proposed a marriage to the Fucha tribe, but there was no response. Should I wait a little longer?

The Torghut people turned their attention to the weakest tribe. Aruna was indeed beautiful. Although the tribe was small in number, each one was brave. Moreover, years of unfair treatment had made them resentful. If used well, they could be as sharp as a knife in their hands.

The eldest son married into the Fucha tribe, but if the younger son married into a larger tribe, it might arouse the suspicion of the inner circle. It would be better to let the younger son ask for Aruna's hand in marriage.

The Tuva tribe showed goodwill to Bater and proposed a marriage.

Bater sighed in his heart. It was his youngest son Amugulang who went to ask Aruna what she meant.

Aruna refused outright. She had liked the new Khan since he was the eldest prince. She wanted to marry Qinggeertai.

Bater thought about it all night and decided to offer his daughter to the new Khan.

Qinggertai discussed this matter with his wife and planned to take her into the harem.

He said: "If one day four tribes are fighting against four tribes, then the remaining tribe, even if it is weak, will be the key to determining victory or defeat."

And now he intends to take this key into his own hands.

When Bayar learned about this, he was dejected. Aruna really liked Qinggertai.

He also complained that his father did not agree with the marriage and did not propose. He said that he was the eldest son, and the eldest son's wife was definitely better than a younger son of the Torghut tribe who proposed marriage.

Bayin glanced at him and said: "You should go meet the icy beauty. My father has gone to propose marriage."

Bayar became even more depressed when he heard this. Shouldn't that iceberg go find another iceberg? Alas, he was afraid of the cold.

What no one expected was that Amugulang challenged Khan Qinggertai:

Each of them led 3,000 soldiers to attack any defense point of a city in the Xuanyuan Dynasty. Whoever captured it first would get the beauty.
