Chapter 98: Three People Meeting

Chapter 98: Three People Meeting

A low-key Maybach was driving on the road at a speed of 50 miles per hour. Four people were sitting in the quiet car. The man in the back seat had half of his face covered by shadow. He raised his hand to look at his watch and motioned to the assistant next to him to continue.

Susan continued the previous topic: "The head of Bank G called me this morning and said that he is already on a plane to Dongda. The direct flight will land at about 8 pm. He apologized to you in person for this matter."

He Rong looked confused, and just asked, "Did he also make an appointment with Ru Mo?"

Susan looked calm: "Yes, Mr. Shen's assistant sent me a message this morning."

The vehicle drove in another direction, and the light moved accordingly. It was clear that this was a young man under 30 years old, wearing a very well-fitting suit, exuding a noble temperament.

"They are a group of people who always disappoint me." He looked out the window. "How long will it take to get there?"

Susan glanced at the landmark outside the window, "Twenty minutes."

Two people were sitting in a large office with a view so clear that one side of the city could be seen.

One of them was leaning back on the sofa, wearing a slightly loose red silk shirt. If you looked closely, you could see subtle dark patterns on the fabric. The row of buttons on the chest were not buttoned properly, only a few at the bottom, revealing a white and firm texture. He was sleeping soundly with a book covering his face to block out the light.

The person on his right did not disturb him either. He was holding a thick book in his hand, with one button of his tight collar undone and his sleeves rolled up, revealing his strong arms and a blue watch on his wrist. The inner circle of the dial had Roman numerals, the outer circle had Arabic numerals, and the second hand was moving steadily.

The heavy book looked like a children's book in his hands and looked out of place.

The door of the office was opened and four people walked in. The leader was wearing a well-fitting suit.

Felix led the way and stood at the door, motioning to the other secretary at the door to bring in the tea.

As He Rong entered the room, he took off his suit jacket and handed it to the bodyguard on his right without even looking up. The bodyguard took it respectfully and stepped behind him.

The person who came in greeted the person on his right, "Rumo."

Shen and his courtesy name were Rumo.

The man who was reading looked up, smiled and nodded at him in response.

He Rong walked to the sofa directly opposite him and sat down casually. With a click of a button, smoke billowed out.

Felix walked past Susan and nodded, and they both stood behind their bosses.

Shen Yu folded a corner of the book in his hand and put it on the table. "Didn't you say it would take a while?" He said, "I thought you wouldn't be back until the end of the year."

"The policy is good, the timing is good, the market is booming, and the mainland has been developing well in recent years." He said slowly, "You are faster than me in the mainland in terms of news."

Shin Yu picked up the tea on the table and said, "The documents just came down from above. It happened in the past two days. Everything was going well, but this morning I received a call from Bank G saying that my money was gone." He smiled as if this was something very humorous. "How much did Felix lose?"

He leaned back slightly, and Felix bent down and accurately read out the points and approximate numbers in his ear, with a voice that was neither too loud nor too soft, just enough for everyone to hear.

He nodded, "He also said he was on his way and wanted to meet me. Do you want to meet me?"

He Rong crushed the cigarette in his hand into the ashtray. "I have to meet him. He is just here to ask for money and promote new products. He should think about it. I have lost all my money. Why would I give him money?"

The two talked about this topic, the situation this year and the future direction.

There was another person sitting there who was still sleeping. Neither of them had any intention of waking him up, so they just chatted.

He Rong's eyes fell on the book on the table, and he raised his chin slightly. "Last time I saw you reading the Book of Jin, you're reading a new book this time?"

As soon as the words fell, the sleeping person seemed to be awakened by their conversation. He pulled the book off his face and threw it aside, revealing an alien face.

He has a high nose bridge, deep eye sockets, slightly light hair with a little curl, and pupils that are black if you don't look closely, but a slightly darker brown in the sun.

"You called me back suddenly, and I haven't recovered from the jet lag yet." He said with a hint of complaint.

Shin Yoo reminded him, "Don't throw my books away even if you don't read them."

Evan picked the book back up and threw it on the table.

"Brother Shen, who can understand such a thick book written in classical Chinese?"

Shen Yu smiled and said, "You are a foreigner and you can't even understand classical Chinese."

Evan rubbed his hair to dispel the sleepiness, and said lazily: "Although I am a foreigner, my father is from the University of Tokyo."

He Rong said bluntly: "You don't look like a Dongda student."

Evan used one hand to push back the loose hair that was blocking his eyes. "My mother is from Country A. What can I do? I was supposed to stay until July this time, but you called me back in June."

"I want you to meet someone."

Seeing that he was much more sober, He Rong didn't waste any words and went straight to the point.

"Who?"

"The promoted Chen Jiabao is now in City C. Go meet him."

The relationship between people is a relationship of interest. Sometimes it is simple and crude, but to a certain extent, it still requires a line of trust connecting each other.

Evan also knew why he was asked to go, so he agreed immediately, "But I have to go to City B tonight to see my dad."

He raised his eyes and greeted Susan who was standing behind He Rong, "Susan, long time no see. Have you met Felix? I remember that both of you should be working in MFO now, as assistants?"

Susan said seriously, "Thank you Mr. Luo for your concern. I have seen Felix."

Nothing else was said.

"Where is he? He just went to the airport to pick me up."

Felix, who was standing behind Shen Yu, said, "Boss Luo, I'm here."

Evan turned around and saw Felix, and said in surprise: "You are here."

Shen Yu interrupted him and said, "Today, let's take a look at the investment returns for the first half of the year." He tilted his head, "Felix."

He Rong also tilted his head slightly: "Susan."

Felix and Susan walked to the front.

Both of them took out their computers and started making reports, mainly about some short-term investments and long-term forecasts.

Felix and Susan are both graduates from prestigious universities. They have been working in this job for three years and are very familiar with it. One person explains while the other supplements, and they cooperate with each other.

Evan nodded from time to time to show that he understood.

Each report is actually directed to Evan. The other two people will make a report to the MFO regularly. Evan does not join the MFO. His grandfather has an independent Family Office abroad, so his investment in China can only be considered as personal investment.

Money builds a close relationship among the three, and they can maintain good contact even after leaving the live broadcast room.

Evan patted the sofa and said, "OK, as long as it's profitable overall, that's fine."

The three of them would meet two or three times a year for such simple meetings. City B was not a good place; they would usually meet in City S or Hong Kong.

He made another joke, "After all, money kept in the bank can't even keep up with inflation."
