Chapter 1 Where is my spiritual energy?

As a corporate slave, I work tirelessly every day, and even after getting home, I can't stop working. There are endless copywriting revisions and all sorts of bizarre demands from clients.

Add to that the supervisor who's as thick as a vat but not as tall as one, and he just can't stand him no matter what. He'll make things difficult for him, and he'll create trouble for him even if there's nothing wrong with it.

The direct reason was that I didn't know he was the supervisor when I first joined the company. I got up very early on my first day, hoping to make a good impression on the leader. After arriving at the company, I ate and drank my fill and went upstairs to prepare for starting work.

Feeling an upset stomach, Ye Zhi rushed to the restroom. Several stalls were occupied, so he waited a moment. Just then, the chubby supervisor came out, but he seemed a bit slow. Ye Zhi said something to him.

"Fatty, I'm in a hurry."

Then rush in and start releasing the pressure.

When he came out of the bathroom, the fat manager was still outside.

Ye Zhi nodded his thanks, then went to complete the onboarding procedures, and was immediately taken under the supervision of the chubby supervisor who followed him.

The next few years were terrible. The fat supervisor didn't yell at you or hit you, he just made things difficult for you.

What urgent copywriting assignments, business trips that nobody wants to go on, or just going downstairs to pick up a package?

To say I'd quit my job wouldn't be the case, since jobs are hard to find.

Here comes another task: Have you ever seen a multicolored black? Ye Zhi certainly hasn't, and he can't figure out how to make it.

This one request has been a hassle for almost a week. I've worked on it, submitted it, it was rejected, I revised it, submitted it, it was rejected again, I revised it again, submitted it, it was rejected again, I revised it again, submitted it, it was rejected again, I revised it again, submitted it, it was rejected again.

There's only one reason: it's black, but it doesn't meet the requirement of being colorful.

After a week of fussing, Ye Zhi couldn't eat or sleep well, and he was too lazy to revise the plan. He simply took out the first version and prepared to submit it.

If it works, it works; if it doesn't, it has to work. At worst, I'll just quit. The fat manager was clearly instructed by his superiors to force a group of people out and replace them with a few cheap and hardworking graduates.

Having mentally prepared himself, Ye Zhi turned off the computer, washed up, and went to bed. Before falling asleep, he cursed, "You damn winter melon."

However, this sleep was not peaceful. Ye Zhi had a dream after sleeping for an unknown amount of time. He dreamed that he fell into the water. As a complete landlubber, Ye Zhi instinctively started grabbing at the water with his hands.

Then, a stick came into my hand, and then a large hand grabbed it and pulled me out of the water.

After boarding the ship, Ye Zhi began to vomit. After vomiting up all the seawater he had just drunk, he was stunned.

The roaring helicopter overhead, the speedboat beneath him, and the two middle-aged men beside him who kept shouting all told him that this was not his home.

"How are you? Say something? Do you need a doctor?"

Ye Zhi shook his head.

The person asking the question gestured behind Ye Zhi, and the speedboat immediately set off.

Ye Zhi, still not quite understanding the situation, didn't dare to say anything and sat quietly.

Kidnapping? That's unlikely. Although he has savings, he probably doesn't even have enough money to rent a helicopter for a short trip.

Moreover, glancing around out of the corner of his eye, he realized that they were clearly at sea, and it wasn't worth going to such lengths to bring him here.

Could it be human organ trafficking? That's possible, but given his current state, the management of his targets seems far too lax.

Even setting aside the life jacket that was just put on them, they should at least have their hands and feet tied up.

Speaking of hands and feet, Ye Zhi finally noticed his chubby hands and big feet.

Although he is 1.8 meters tall, he only weighs 80 kilograms, which is barely considered well-proportioned.

But what's with these hands in front of me? They've only been in the seawater for a short while and they've already become floaty?

Is this seawater? Or is it a carbonated drink?

And the shoes on his feet—he had leather shoes and sneakers, but he was wearing military boots.

The speedboat rushed to the shore, and the person who had pulled Ye Zhi from the sea onto the speedboat shouted:

"We've arrived. Let's get off."

After shouting, he turned around, opened a bag, and threw the contents of the bag onto the shore one by one.

A pickaxe, a military shovel, a fire axe, a pot, and then a machete was handed to Ye Zhi, who was also given a shove.

Ye Zhi disembarked in a daze, looking at the things at his feet. It was clearly a job to mine, but what was with the knife in his hand? Was it used to kill the guards? Where were the guards?

The people on the speedboat threw their tools and leaves on the shore and immediately turned around and drove away.

Ye Zhi was left alone, lost in thought.

"Ding, no one is around the host, the environment is safe, the destination has been successfully reached, the system is beginning to bind."

Binding in progress... 1%

Binding in progress... 2%

Binding in progress... 5%

...

Ye Zhi was stunned when he saw the virtual panel that suddenly appeared in front of him.

What kind of cutting-edge technology is this? Is this how the other side controls the miners?

It not only has a control panel, but also voice prompts.

Before Ye Zhi could react, a small drone suddenly flew to his side, with a red dot flashing on its camera.

Ye Zhi had at least gone to school. She could use smart electronic devices and knew that this was a drone in operation.

He nodded to himself; this was double insurance.

Ye Zhi stood blankly on the shore, not daring to make any rash moves. Who knew if the drone would suddenly fire a bullet and kill him? Besides, there was a virtual screen in front of him, so he waited for the screen to give him the next instructions.

Saving your life is the most important thing.

Finally, the virtual panel in front of me showed that the binding was 99%, and the next moment, a voice broadcast appeared.

"System binding complete. The Peerless Body Cultivation System is at your service."

Ye Zhi said:

Could you please explain the situation?

"Yes, that's possible. First of all, when the host communicates with the system, there's no need to speak; you can communicate with your mind."

Secondly, this system is an auxiliary system that can help the host become an unparalleled body cultivator, dominating the world.

Ye Zhi frowned. Why was this like a time-travel martial arts novel? But the drone in front of him and the speedboat from before were clearly not martial arts novels.

He asked silently:

"Am I transported to another world, or have I been kidnapped?"

"Yes, the host has transmigrated." The virtual panel and voice announcement answered simultaneously.

"Is it possible that the body I transmigrated into was kidnapped?" Ye Zhi asked, looking at the tools at his feet.

"No, the system confirmed that the original body was a free person before it brought the host here."

Hearing the system's reply, Ye Zhi looked up at the drone to his left and asked again:

"If you weren't kidnapped, then explain to me what's going on with the drone in front of me and the mining tools that are clearly under my feet."

"Okay, start the search immediately."

"Searching..."

"Searching..."

Suddenly, the cute, soft voice from just moments ago transformed into a raging, bossy one, yelling:

"Holy crap, where did my spiritual energy go? Where did it go?"

Ye Zhi's head throbbed from the sudden roar, and after a moment, he said:

"So, the time travel is real, but something went wrong, right?"

"Well...it seems so."
