Chapter 90 Just Learned Dog Paddle

Before leaving, Ye Zi gave Reba her room number, telling her that she could come to him anytime if she needed anything.

After Ye Zi left, Dilraba felt much more relaxed. In the past two days, due to the extensive promotion of the show, the contestants' information has been largely revealed.

Dilraba is worried that Ye Zi's situation has also been exposed, which will make the competition very intense. Even with Er Ya as an intermediary, it is uncertain whether Ye Zi will choose her as his partner.

Reba didn't expect that Ye Zi and Er Ya Lao Huang had such a deep friendship, that they kept their word, and that Ye Zi was willing to risk the reputation of being arrogant after winning a competition.

That's right. If Yezi only learned the dog-paddle skill, then in other people's eyes she would be arrogant.

The show has been promoting the island survival challenge for a month now, and the contestants were confirmed even earlier. In all that time, they've only learned one basic dog paddle. Isn't that getting cocky?

After quickly tidying up the room, Dilraba sat on the living room sofa, eating snacks while texting Er Ya, sighing:

"Sister Erya, Yezi is really a warm person, and coincidentally we're staying at the same hotel."

That's right, Dilraba's room is a suite, with a bedroom and a living room.

After waiting for a while, Er Ya finally replied:

“You don’t even know who he is friends with. If Lao Huang and I can be friends with him, his character must be good. Choosing him as a partner is definitely the right choice.”

Nothing was said that night, and the time for the assembly soon arrived.

Ye Zi was checking out at the front desk with her backpack on. Reba, who was bundled up tightly, came out of the elevator, saw Ye Zi at the front desk, and came over to greet her.

Seeing Dilraba all alone without bringing anything, Ye Zi felt a little envious. It's good to have an agent, unlike him, who has to bring his own luggage.

After completing the formalities, Ye Zi asked:

"You're just going to go like this?"

"Otherwise what?"

Ye Zi whispered:

"Shouldn't you greet your fans or sign autographs or something?"

"It's time to test your fighting spirit. Try to get me in. There are too many fans, and signing autographs is too much trouble."

Ye Zi first checked the situation at the meeting point from the entrance; the fans were indeed quite crazy.

After thinking for a moment, he said:

"Then hold on tight to my backpack and stay close."

"Okay!" Dilraba said happily.

Ye Zi led Reba through the crowd, or rather, forcefully pushed her way through. This was just the outer perimeter; inside was a safe zone set up by the production team for the celebrity contestants to make their appearances. Of course, whether or not they made their appearances was entirely up to them.

But the production team prepared everything they were supposed to.

While Ye Zi cleared the way, she kept the system resting. If there was any risk of separation, Ye Zi immediately retreated to her side.

The leaves' tendency to push forward caused dissatisfaction among those around them, and some short-tempered people even started yelling at the leaves.

"Why are you pushing and shoving? Are you in such a hurry to be reborn? Go and get in line."

Ye Zi's face darkened and she said:

“I’m a contestant. You’re blocking the way. How can I participate in the show if I don’t squeeze in?”

Upon hearing Ye Zi refer to herself as a contestant, someone immediately mocked her:

"If you're a contestant, then I'm the program planner. You're not the first person to use this excuse to get closer to the front row, so save your breath."

Ye Zi was stunned. Someone actually used this excuse to try to get close to their idol. That's just unbelievable.

Then Ye Zi took off her sunglasses and said:

"I am Yezi, the champion of the last wilderness survival competition and the pioneer of live stream room number three. I am here to participate in the program."

Finally, someone recognized them, since the contestants' photos had already been posted thanks to the show's promotion.

Not far ahead, there was a photo of Ye Zi, but while everyone else's photos were artistic, Ye Zi's was a picture of her wearing a bearskin coat, clearly taken in the wilderness.

This photo was chosen by the production team to capitalize on the lingering buzz, and it was only placed at the entrance of the meeting point as a promotional poster with Ye Zi's consent.

Then the direction the leaf was traveling quickly parted to make way for one person.

Ye Zi shouted:

"Thank you all for your cooperation. My assistant and I will go ahead now. See you in the live stream."

After saying that, he led Reba forward.

Dilraba kept her head down the whole time, looking like she was seeing such a big scene for the first time, and tightly gripped Yezi's backpack.

Only after entering the hall did Dilraba breathe a sigh of relief and say:

"Yay, this is the easiest entry I've ever had."

Ye Zi smiled and said:

"You're a star, so it's normal to receive this treatment. Having an audience who likes you is the best recognition for an actor."

Reba walked into the hall with Ye Zi and did not intend to reveal her true appearance.

It wasn't until they entered the contestant assembly point that they removed the coverings to reveal their true faces.

Before Ye Zi and Reba came in, some people had already arrived. When they saw Ye Zi, everyone was not very interested because they had never met Ye Zi before.

Besides, Ye Zi is the only non-celebrity. The others are either celebrities or have a certain degree of fame online. Who would waste time trying to get close to Ye Zi?

However, there was one exception. Han Xijun saw Ye Zi come in, smiled, and walked over, jokingly saying:

"Isn't this the Wilderness One-on-One King? What have you been up to lately?"

Just then, Dilraba removed her disguise, revealing her true face. Han Xijun exclaimed in surprise:

"Dilraba? You've somehow managed to sneak in here."

Ye Zi smiled and said:

"When I arrived, Dilraba was wrapped up tightly, saying that the production team sent her to pick me up."

I thought about it and it made sense. I don't have any fans, so I guess nobody knows me. It would be awkward if I were stopped outside.

After I came in, I realized he was Dilraba.

Han Xijun gave Reba a thumbs up and said:

"You're a wise person."

Dilraba smiled and gave a knowing look.

Han Xijun continued to ask:

"Ye Zi, what have you been busy with lately? Are you confident you can win the match?"

"I've been working on improving myself lately and have learned some new skills. Whether I can win or not is hard to say; we'll see."

Han Xijun's eyes lit up and he said:

"What skills have you learned? This is targeted learning."

Ye Zi grinned and said:

"I learned to swim, but I just learned how to doggy paddle."

Dilraba suppressed a laugh, Han Xijun was shocked, and then said:

"Your specific skill is the dog paddle?"

Ye Zi nodded calmly.

Han Xijun asked again:

"You've only learned a dog paddle after all this time?"

Ye Zi said helplessly:

"I was probably the last contestant to receive an invitation from the program team. After losing my contract, I went home and worked as a butcher for a few days before leaving the grasslands after the New Year."

With only half a month to learn the skill, being able to learn dog paddling is already a result of hard work.

I also need to learn to identify plants and marine life; there's not enough time.

Ye Zi and Reba didn't lower their voices during their conversation. Someone came over to greet Reba and naturally heard that Ye Zi had only learned one doggy paddle.

Ye Zi was considered a landlubber by other swimmers, and although she has learned to swim now, she can only doggy paddle.

The competitive pressure immediately decreased significantly.
