day15
Narcissus was reclining on the couch, his face supported by his hands. Not far away sat Vanlan, who was using him as a model for a painting.
Fanlan used paint made from sun fruit to color, and dazzling gold flowed out from his pen and rendered on paper. Although both of them had golden hair, Fanlan's long hair was light gold, which was often mistaken for silver in the sun and had a cold visual sense, while Narcissus's hair was pure and dazzling warm gold, similar to the rose gold classified on Earth.
There is no painter who does not love unique and magnificent colors and beautiful creatures. Therefore, among the portraits painted by Van Lin to date, Narcissus accounts for the largest proportion.
He put down his pen, looked at the portrait on the paper, and exclaimed sincerely: "Xixi, you are so beautiful."
The male insect opposite put down his sore hands, leaned back and sat up, then beckoned with his hand, motioning Fanlan to come over.
He put his arms around Fanlan's neck and made the latter bend down, so that he had to get close to him on the couch, with his face almost touching.
"Really? But - my little painter, you haven't answered yet... Who is better looking, your brother or your new male insect friend?"
His voice was very soft when he asked the question, like the whispered love words in the ear, and his amber eyes seemed to be filled with sticky syrup as he stared straight at his little male insect.
There is no doubt that being close to a face like this can be very lethal.
Brother Xixi's beauty trap...
Fanlan sighed in his heart.
So he answered half obediently and half honestly: "In terms of appearance, I think Brother Xixi is better."
However, the older male insect didn't seem to want to be dismissed so easily, and continued to ask: "'In terms of appearance' - so in terms of other aspects, you are indeed better than me?"
“…”
Seeing the growing helplessness in Fanlan's eyes, Narcissus chuckled and stopped teasing him.
In fact, what Fanlan didn't know was that Narcissus didn't care much about appearance.
I even felt a little annoyed at one point.
For a capable male insect who wants to truly hold sovereignty, dazzling appearance is tantamount to a weight of prejudice.
During Narcissus's adolescence, no insect cared about his grades or his brain. No insect really paid attention to what he was thinking. They only saw "a handsome male insect" and thought "I wonder if he will go out with me."
Therefore, the young Narcissus was not proud of his excellent appearance, but rather felt secretly disgusted with it.
For a period of time, he deliberately dressed casually. Although he was not unkempt, he was definitely not dressed too elaborately. He cut his beautiful long hair short himself, and occasionally did some fitness tricks.
Then he met Vanlan.
For the first time, Fanlan said to him:
"Brother, let me give you a painting."
The second time, Fanlan said to him:
"Brother Xixi, can you be my model?"
He looked at the little male insect's focused and serious eyes as he painted, and for the first time in a long time he felt a vague sense of pride in his appearance again.
After that, Narcissus grew his hair back.
He found that Fanlan was a very peculiar little male insect. Unlike most male insects, he was not proud of being pursued by female insects. Accordingly, he would not have any hostility towards the same sex. In fact, since female insects were strong and had rough nerves, they seemed to be a little more "casual" in his eyes. As for male insects of the same sex, he showed a good attitude that was almost like "care", even though he himself was the little one who should be taken care of.
If Narcissus had been to Earth, he would probably have found an accurate adjective to describe him: "gentlemanly."
He witnessed with his own eyes how the spoiled young men from the noble families angrily provoked Fanlan as a love rival, and finally left with red faces and flickering eyes.
At this point, Narcissus's dressing aesthetic has returned and continues to upgrade.
Because his little painter prefers beauty.
Of course, he would be the brightest one in those eyes.

"Brother Xixi, can you let me go?"
"Oh, no."
Fanlan felt a little tired from bending his waist, so he simply took off his shoes and curled up on the couch with Narcissus.
It was very quiet inside and snow was falling outside the window.
They chatted about each other's recent experiences or interesting stories. Narcissus talked about the folk customs of red starfish, and Fanlan talked about his experience after entering the capital and some gossip and anecdotes between mutual friends.
Later it gradually became Narcissus asked, Vanlan said.
It was obvious that the older male insect was not satisfied with hearing a brief version of Fanlan's experience when he was away. He asked in great detail, even though he already knew most of it.
The couch was soft and comfortable. Fanlan's voice gradually became slower and lower, and finally disappeared into thin air.
He fell asleep.
Narcissus gazed at the face favored by the gods in his arms. The once tender eyebrows and eyes had now grown, deep and elegant.
It seemed like a long time had passed, yet it seemed like only a breath had passed.
Narcissus leaned down, his long golden hair falling, blocking his vision and the kiss that fell on Fanlan's forehead.
