With a chuckle to herself, Su Yushan did not refute. Following Chang Yue's instructions, she tied on a scarlet bellyband, put on a moon-white undergarment, and then put on a padded jacket and a rabbit fur vest.
It was nearly evening, and she didn't want to do an elaborate hairstyle anymore, but Changyue said that the Fourth Master was coming and she couldn't be careless, so she asked her to sit down and carefully did her hair and makeup.
Su Yushan, exhausted from all the fuss, said lazily, "Why be so meticulous? He only mentioned it briefly; he was probably just joking and didn't really intend to come."
"Then you have to be prepared in advance. Recently, the Fourth Prince has been unpredictable, and I have been scolded a lot for no reason. If we do everything perfectly, the Fourth Prince won't be able to find fault with us!"

Hongli scoffed in displeasure, "I can go wherever I want, what business is it of yours?"
"..." Well! Master can do whatever he wants, it's really none of Li Yu's business, but it's a pity for Su Gege, she guesses she's just wasted her time again.
Inside the Huatang Pavilion, the meal was ready, but it was already dark, and still no one had arrived. Su Yushan, sitting at the table, propped her forehead with her hand, nodding sleepily.
How much longer do we have to wait?
Logically speaking, Fourth Master should have arrived long ago! Seeing that his master could not hold on any longer, Chang Yue immediately went out to find out the situation.
It would have been better if she hadn't asked. But when she went out to inquire, Chang Yue was immediately furious. "Princess, I went to ask. The Fourth Prince went to Princess Fucha's place to celebrate her birthday. Why didn't he say so earlier? Why did he make you prepare? Isn't he just deliberately making things difficult for us?!"
Chang Yue felt indignant on behalf of her master, but Su Yushan didn't feel upset at all. Instead, she felt relieved. "It's good that he didn't come. I don't have to be on edge watching his face."
She was sleepy while taking a bath and had barely managed to stay awake until now. Once she was sure that Hongli wouldn't come, Su Yushan didn't want to wait any longer and asked Changyue to help her comb her hair.
Chang Yue reminded her, "Princess, you haven't had dinner yet!"
Su Yushan covered her mouth with her finger and yawned. "I'm not hungry, I don't want to eat. You can divide the dishes on that table! I'm going to rest now."
After tidying her hair, she went straight to her tent to rest, no longer concerning herself with Hongli's affairs. Changyue, however, was filled with worry, wondering what the Fourth Prince really meant. Was he deliberately playing a trick on Su Gege, or was it a last-minute change of heart?
After he finishes having dinner with Princess Fucha, will he come to Huatang Pavilion again? Or will he stay at Zeyun Pavilion instead?
