"Huh?" Su Yushan was completely bewildered and didn't understand what he meant for a moment until Hongli squeezed her palm, at which point she belatedly realized what he meant.
She immediately blushed, realizing what he meant. "You can use this as leverage?"
If he wants it, nothing is impossible. "I've laid out my conditions; whether you choose to exchange them is your business."
Since she couldn't escape it anyway, helping him once and getting some benefits in return wasn't a bad idea. After weighing the pros and cons, Su Yushan didn't hesitate any longer.
"Alright then! As you said."
She didn't move after he finished speaking. Hongli raised an eyebrow and looked at her. "It's only been a few days, and you've already forgotten? Do I have to teach you step by step again?"
Su Yushan, feeling troubled, racked her brains, "Uh... the candle isn't out."
Hongli, too lazy to go downstairs, simply pulled down the curtain to cover her completely. She then made an excuse, saying it was letting in light. Hongli bluntly pointed this out.
"Her hands were hidden under the brocade quilt, out of reach of the candlelight."
Having run out of excuses, Su Yushan had no choice but to obediently raise her hand to reach out.
The moment the soft fingers grasped his hand, Hongli's breath deepened, and he slowly closed his eyes, savoring the beautiful melody produced by the nimble fingers.
At first, the thunder rumbled like spring thunder, and the hardworking Su Yushan had been hoping for rain, but it only thundered in the dry season and remained silent until a quarter of an hour later, when the torrential rain poured down, nourishing the mountains and forests. Only then did she finally let go of his hand and get some rest.
Hongli knew she had worked hard, but he said nothing. Su Yushan, as usual, washed her hands after leaving the tent. He thought she would rest after returning, but to his surprise, she said:
"Do you... still want it?"
Hongli slowly turned his head, his dark eyes filled with undisguised shock as he looked at her. In his memory, she always complained of being tired and never took the initiative. He was always the one who asked to come again. This was the first time she had taken the initiative to bring it up like this.
Seeing his confusion, Su Yushan explained, "If I help you once, you let me out once. If I help you twice, can I go out twice?"
"..." Upon learning her true intentions, Hongli frowned even more deeply. "Aren't your hands tired?"
