Chapter 177: The Child Has an Accident!

Something happened to Jin Minjing's child? Su Yushan and Yun Fang exchanged bewildered glances. They wondered what could have happened to the baby, who was only two days old. Was he sick, or was there something else going on?

Li Yu dared not say more, stopping short of what he had said, and then hurriedly left to catch up with Fourth Master.

The servants in the villa were terrified and stood silently to one side, not daring to utter a sound.

Inside the inner room, Jin Minjing, who was still in her postpartum confinement period, was overjoyed to hear that the Fourth Master had arrived, her eyes brimming with undisguised joy.

"Fourth Master, you've arrived! Please forgive me, I'm unwell and unable to greet you."

Hongli glanced at her, his face dark and he seemed unhappy.

Kim Min-jung couldn't help but guess that it must have been Consort Xi who asked the Fourth Prince to come and pick him up. He was not very willing, but he still obeyed Consort Xi's wishes.

It doesn't matter. She's not afraid of Hongli giving her the cold shoulder, as long as he's willing to take her back. Only by returning to the manor can she have any hope, right?

Overjoyed, Jin Minjing couldn't help but ask, "Fourth Master, are you here to take me back to the manor? I promise you, I will never cause trouble again and will only focus on raising our child."

Her eyes shone with anticipation, completely forgetting what he had said when he chased her away: "Are you still dreaming? Kim Min-jung, who said I was going to take you back to the manor?"

"But I...I gave birth to a son for you!" After all, Consort Xi wanted a grandson, and since the Fujin (Prince's wife) had given birth to a daughter, her son was especially important. She thought that having a son would provide security, but to her surprise, Hongli (Hongli) was dismissive.

"Look at yourself, what have you given birth to!"

Hongli gestured for the nanny to take the child over. The nanny nervously approached and placed the child next to Princess Jin. Jin Minjing took the child with surprise, a sense of foreboding washing over her. But upon closer inspection, she saw that the child was fast asleep, his little mouth tightly pursed, his tiny fingers curled up, looking quite endearing. Yet, she couldn't understand why the Fourth Prince looked at her with disdain.

"It is indeed a baby boy! All his fingers and toes are intact. Fourth Master, this is your eldest son! He is so adorable. Even if you dislike me, you shouldn't dislike your own son, right?"

The nanny mustered her courage and reminded her, "Princess, your fingers are indeed normal, but look at the child's ears."

As she spoke, the nanny pulled the small blanket covering the child aside, and a strangely shaped ear suddenly came into her view!

It's called an ear, but it's not quite. It looks like a normal ear that's been rolled up and stuck together, so you can't see the auricle at all!

Jin Minjing was startled and almost dropped the child, but luckily the nanny caught her in time, preventing an accident.

Upon seeing this, Kim Min-jung shook her head in horror, "Impossible! How could this be? My child was perfectly fine, how could he look like this?"

“That’s a question for you,” Hongli glared at her and rebuked her in a deep voice, “Jin Minjing, you’ve done too many bad things, and you will eventually be punished. It’s just a pity that God didn’t punish you, but punished the child instead.”

"This isn't my child, it definitely isn't mine," Kim Min-jung said, her face pale and her phoenix eyes filled with terror. She felt that something was wrong. "Someone must have deliberately caused trouble and switched my child!"

"Princess, this is indeed your child. Look how much he looks like you!" Putting aside the ears, the nanny thought the child's features were indeed very delicate, and his small oval face was just like Princess Jin's. It was just a pity that his ears were strange. It was truly a shame.

This sudden turn of events threw Kim Min-jung into disarray. She repeatedly denied it, wanting only to sever all ties with the child as quickly as possible.

“Unlike me, he’s not my child. How could I give birth to a monster? This child is already two days old, and none of you told me about it. Why are you suddenly bringing a monster to frame me? What are your intentions? Who sent you?”

The nanny, terrified, knelt down and explained, "Please calm down, Your Highness. This child was wrapped up immediately after birth, and the blanket was so tight that no one noticed the problem with his ear! It was only yesterday that someone discovered it, but that nanny was too timid to speak up, which is why it was delayed..."

Kim Min-jung nervously denied it, shaking her head repeatedly, "You're lying! My child is so cute, there's nothing wrong with his ears!"

"Jin Minjing, have you made enough trouble?!" Hongli shouted, startling the sleeping baby so much that the baby's hands trembled and the baby burst into tears.

Hongli immediately grew impatient and glanced at the nanny. The nanny immediately took the child away, not daring to disturb the Fourth Prince.

Despite the pain of childbirth, Jin Minjing, her face streaked with tears, struggled to climb down from the tent and clutched Hongli's robes tightly. "Fourth Master, how could our child be a monster? There must be something fishy going on. The child must have been switched. Please help me find out the truth and our true flesh and blood!"

Hongli remained unmoved, not bending down to help her up. He glanced down at the tear-streaked woman at his feet, his thin lips parted slightly, his voice cold and indifferent.

"That's your child, you got it through despicable means, it's not mine!"

In Hongli's heart, he never acknowledged this child. The only ones who cared about the baby in her womb were his parents.

Hongli repeatedly tried to distance himself from her, but Jin Minjing hurriedly reminded him, "But he has your blood in his veins! He is a child of the Aisin Gioro family, that's an undeniable fact!"

Through her tear-filled eyes, she saw Hongli slowly bend down. Jin Minjing cried and raised her hand, wanting to lean on him, but he didn't give her his hand. Instead, he gripped her chin tightly with his thumb and forefinger, his hawk-like eyes seemingly covered with frost, making her shiver.

"You did something bad once, and when there was no physical evidence, you managed to escape by luck. But you became even more arrogant and ruthless. Little did you know that good and evil will eventually be rewarded. Now you have given birth to such a child. So what if it is a boy? Your mother will avoid suspicion as much as possible and will no longer favor you. You can forget about ever returning to the manor in this lifetime!"

"Fourth Master, our child could never be a monster. Someone must have switched the baby with another child. Could it be Su Yushan? She holds a grudge against me and took this opportunity to get revenge by switching my child?"

How could she possibly shift the blame to Su Yushan? Did she really think everyone in the world was as despicable as her?

"If Yu Shan were truly as heartless as you, you would have gone to hell long ago. How could you possibly be alive now?"

"Or it could be the Fujin (wife of the prince). She gave birth to a daughter, and she was jealous that I gave birth to a son, so she secretly did something..."

At this moment, Jin Minjing was somewhat delirious. She gripped Hongli's wrist tightly, saying whatever came to mind, acting like a madwoman! Hongli's eyes showed disgust. He flung her away and stood up abruptly.

"No one wants to harm you because nobody cares about you. Wake up, Kim Min-jung. What's the difference between someone who lives in a dream and a dead person?"

After saying this in a cold voice, Hongli resolutely turned and left.

He came like light and left like a gust of wind, extinguishing the candlelight in the room. She thought that good days would come after giving birth to the child, but little did she know that this child would become her nightmare!

Kim Min-jung was plunged into darkness, never having felt such despair before...

Inside the Huatang Pavilion, when Su Yushan learned of this, she looked at Hongli with astonishment, "Is this the despicable method you mentioned before? How did you manage to fake your ears?"
