Upon spotting Yunfang, Hongli's anger flared even more. "You've come at the perfect time! I was just about to question you! Yunfang, how dare you collude with foreign officials to deceive me! Your heart deserves to be punished!"
Yunfang said those things back then to help her out of a predicament. Yushan couldn't let Yunfang take the blame, so she quickly said to Hongli, "I instructed you to do this. Please punish me, Your Majesty, and don't blame Yunfang."
Their accounts differed, and Hongli, having grown tired of watching the spectacle, thought, "They're covering for each other again, lying again? You don't actually think I'll believe you anymore, do you?"
