Su Yushan actually said she liked him? Hearing this twice in a row, Hongli was both surprised and delighted. It seemed he hadn't misheard; these words really came from her mouth!
"Are you kidding me? Do you really like me?"
She was talking about Hongli, so why was he bringing it up himself? "Who are you? Why are you asking so many questions?"
After all that talk, she was still confused. "Take a good look at who I am."
Hongli lifted her chin with a finger, and Su Yushan, nestled in his arms, opened her eyes wide. Upon closer inspection, she couldn't help but gasp.
"Who am I? Where am I? What did I say? I don't remember."
Hongli pinched her nose in displeasure. "I heard you clearly, don't try to deny it!"
Su Yushan felt annoyed and hurriedly made an excuse, "I was drunk, I was talking nonsense, don't take what I said while drunk seriously."
At the crucial moment, she feigned ignorance. If he hadn't known, it wouldn't have been a problem, but Hongli already knew her true thoughts. His heart was completely struck by her words, and he forgot all the unpleasant things that had happened.
“I’m going to take it seriously! Su Yushan, a person should keep their word. You said you like me, so you have to keep liking me and not change your mind.”
Recalling his harsh words, Su Yushan felt wronged and sobbed softly, "You despise me, slander me, and don't trust me. You don't deserve my love."
No misunderstanding could compare to a simple "I like you." That one sentence instantly shattered all his defenses.
"I believe you. I believe everything you say, even if it's a lie that you like me, I'm still willing to believe it. But since you've said it, you can't go back on your word. If you're going to lie, you have to lie for the rest of your life. Don't let me find any flaws."
Had he already sensed something? Su Yushan felt a slight hesitation, not daring to meet his gaze. Yet, she was afraid that looking away would make her seem guilty, so she mustered her courage and looked back at him.
Meeting her limpid eyes, Hongli's heart stirred. He lowered his head and kissed her lips, a passionate and intense kiss. Su Yushan's starry eyes widened, and she whimpered softly.
At that moment, she couldn't help but think that this matter should be considered closed, right?
She originally wanted to use her drunkenness to call Hongli over, but if she didn't drink a drop, it would be easy to give herself away. To ensure authenticity, she asked Changyue to bring a pot of wine.
She didn't react after drinking several glasses, and thought the alcohol wasn't very strong. But before long, she started to feel dizzy. Her feigned drunkenness turned into real drunkenness. She felt terrible, but she still had a sliver of clarity in her mind and remembered what her purpose was.
She wasn't sure if confessing her feelings would work; perhaps Hongli didn't care at all. But it was her only option, and she had to take a gamble to see if Hongli would soften his heart.
As it turned out, she made the right bet.
Hongli believed her words, and Su Yushan felt inexplicably guilty, but she knew clearly that since she had said those words, she had to continue to pretend. Her rejection was just symbolic; if she really liked him, she shouldn't resist his closeness.
Thinking of this, her small hands finally curled up, weakly clutching his clothes. Even emboldened by the slight intoxication, she boldly responded to him. Her initiative surprised him greatly, and he no longer wanted to hold back; he only wanted to devour her whole…
At this moment, she was truly drunk. She didn't want to think about anything and let him lead her, drifting and swaying in the sea of love, experiencing the ultimate carefree joy.
In the heat of passion, he murmured, "Yushan, shall we have a child?"
Su Yushan's starry eyes were glazed over, her face flushed, and she weakly responded, "Mmm..."
Hongli was not satisfied with this ambiguous answer and continued to press, "Hmm, what do you mean? Are you willing to have my child?"
Would she dare say no? If she did, he would sulk, and since she still needed his help, she dared not disobey him, so she obediently replied:
"That depends on your skills!"
"So you dare to doubt my abilities?" This was the last straw. Hongli no longer showed her any mercy and intensified his attacks, causing Su Yushan to regret her words and secretly resent herself for saying such things. She had only brought trouble upon herself!
That night, the moon was bright and the stars were few, but he, tireless, took advantage of her three times. By the latter half of the night, Su Yushan was exhausted and had no strength left. She turned over and fell asleep immediately.
The next morning, she was awakened by Hongli getting up. Even though she had rested for several hours, she still felt dizzy. She looked at Hongli, who was getting dressed, then at herself, and then tapped her head, as if trying to recall what had happened the night before.
Upon seeing this, Hongli had a bad feeling. "Do you remember what you promised me last night?"
In fact, she remembered most of the things, but she didn't know which one he was referring to. Su Yushan shook her head blankly, asking him for a hint.
After putting on his boots, Hongli sighed helplessly, turned around and sat down by the tent, and specifically reminded him: "You said you were willing to have my child. One should be true to one's word and not go back on one's promise."
So that's what he meant! Last night she didn't dare to refute him, so she reluctantly agreed, but she didn't expect him to still remember it. "These things should be left to nature, right? No one can guarantee that they will definitely get pregnant."
Hongli also considered this point, saying, "Whether you can conceive is another matter, I will not force you, but from now on you can no longer drink contraceptive soup."
She seemed to have no reason to refuse, so she could only bring up the future, "If I get pregnant, you'll definitely think it's inconvenient for me to be with you and will go find other women. I know that's human nature, but I'm petty and can't be indifferent..."
As she spoke, her voice grew softer and softer, her long, thick eyelashes drooping like an open fan, obscuring her eyelids.
Hongli saw right through her, but far from blaming her, he found it quite pleasant to be cared for. Gently stroking her hair, Hongli smiled warmly:
