Chapter Fourteen: Always Bullying Me

Nian Gengyao was executed last year, so Longkodo would be next, right? But Cha Siting happens to be one of Longkodo's men, which makes things clear.

"His Majesty intends to make an example of Longkodo and take the opportunity to eliminate his cronies, and Cha Siting will become the unlucky one."

The thought of those complicated relationships gave Hongli a headache. "Even if I know he is innocent, I am powerless to help him. Today I tried to plead for him, but I was reprimanded by my father. He said that as an emperor, one should not be soft-hearted like a woman, and one should be decisive and consider the overall situation."

Hearing his regretful tone, Su Yushan understood Hongli's thoughts. At this time, he had not yet ascended the throne; he was still a benevolent prince.

"From your perspective, you believe Cha Siting is innocent, but from the perspective of the royal family, you cannot deny your father's opinion. These two viewpoints are causing you inner turmoil, and this contradiction must be very painful for you."

"I have always admired my father, but since he ascended the throne, he has become exceptionally strict." What he had learned in the book was completely different from reality, and Hongli couldn't help but feel bewildered.

"Is the way of a ruler only about interests, regardless of right and wrong? I know that Cha Siting is innocent, but I can't clear his name. That feeling of powerlessness is very frustrating."

She understood his predicament and kindly advised him, "You have done your best and have a clear conscience. If the Emperor insists on this, you should not go against His Majesty's will. But you can take this as a warning. If you ascend the throne in the future, you must put the people first and not sacrifice innocent people for the sake of the so-called big picture."

When the throne was mentioned, Hongli was still hesitant and dared not say much. "Father is in his prime and has not yet made any plans for the throne. It is too early to discuss these matters."

After he finished speaking, he realized that he had been talking for a long time and seemed to have not considered her feelings. "You must find it boring to talk to you about politics, right?"

"No, not at all!" Su Yushan smiled lightly. "My life has always been pretty uneventful. Listening to you talk about current events broadens my horizons, which is quite nice. If you have anything that's bothering you, feel free to confide in me. I'll only listen and not give back, don't worry!"

Hongli understood her meaning and believed that she would keep it a secret, otherwise he would not have told her these thoughts.

Knowing full well what was going on, he deliberately misinterpreted it, lowering his voice to tease, "Sometimes, it's the coming and going that makes it fun..."

Startled for a moment, she belatedly realized what had happened. Recalling the embarrassing scenes from last night, her face flushed, and her voice became barely audible. Embarrassed, she lay on the pillow and whispered:

"What are you saying? I don't understand."

If she didn't understand, why would her face be blushing like a rosy cloud? Seeing through it but not saying it, Hongli walked to the edge of the tent, pinched her earlobe, and said in a hoarse voice, following her words:

"It's okay if you don't understand; I can teach you by example."

"There's no need to jump to conclusions," Su Yushan said, shrinking deeper into the blankets, only her eyes peeking out. "We just consummated our marriage yesterday, do we need to do it again tonight?"

Instead of answering, Hongli asked, "You had a meal last night, have you eaten tonight?"

"..." Su Yushan was speechless. After a long pause, she finally replied, "How can these be compared? You're just being unreasonable!"

"If you say so, then so be it!" Hongli didn't refute, and bluntly stated, "Let's not beat around the bush, I just want you. I showed you mercy last night and didn't go too far, but tonight I won't let you off so easily."

As he spoke, he lifted the brocade quilt, embraced the lovely woman in his arms, and stroked her skin with his large hands, feeling her smooth, snow-white skin.

As his fingertips slowly brushed past her from behind, Su Yushan unconsciously leaned forward, allowing him to fully appreciate her beautiful and graceful figure.

Embarrassed, she tried to back away, but his large hand was right behind her. Now she was caught in a dilemma, and could only bury her face in his shoulder and beg for mercy.

"It's so itchy, don't do anything bad."

Hongli closed his eyes, his high nose gently brushing against her beautiful face, and whispered hoarsely, "But every time I see you, I'm filled with wicked thoughts, what should I do?"

"Then silently recite the Heart Sutra and remind yourself not to let your mind wander," Su Yushan earnestly suggested, but he refused to follow her advice, preferring to obey his deepest, most primal desires, murmuring in a hoarse voice.

"The Bodhisattva cannot save me; only you can save me."

His large hands continued to roam freely across her body, and she couldn't stop him at all. Both ashamed and angry, she feigned a fierce threat:

"If you bully me again, I won't be so polite!"

The kitten started acting fierce again, but Hongli wasn't afraid at all; instead, he felt a hint of anticipation. "Hmm? What do you intend to do?"

Su Yushan tilted her head back slightly and gently bit his earlobe, intending to warn him that she would also retaliate.

The moment her lips parted, her tongue accidentally touched his earlobe, and a strange feeling instantly spread through his heart. He had never known that the feeling of being touched on the ear could be so wonderful. No wonder she had murmured when he traced her earlobe last night.

If this is what she means by being impolite, then he is happy to accept it. "I couldn't ask for more, please continue."

"..." Su Yushan inwardly sighed at her miscalculation. Not only was he not afraid, but he was actually looking forward to it, which was awkward. Embarrassed, she dared not do anything more reckless. She pouted slightly and let out a soft groan of complaint.

"Besides bullying me, what else can you do?"

"I will still cherish you and let you experience the joy of being a woman."

But she had already experienced it: "It's a lie, it's not fun at all, it hurts a lot."

"That was last night. It probably won't hurt tonight. Try it and see," Hongli coaxed gently. Su Yushan, quick-witted, went along with it.

"I believe you, so can we not try it?"

Her little brain was always thinking of good things, but Hongli shook his head resolutely, "Since you believe it, then you should be fearless."

So, did she belatedly jump into the trap he set again? Su Yushan was filled with regret, "I never thought you were this kind of Fourth Master, you're so wicked."

Since she thought he was bad, he decided to be bad to the end, giving her no chance to complain. He leaned down and kissed her sweet lips, letting her know just how bad he could be.

"Mmm..." Before she could finish speaking, her words were drowned out by his kiss. Tonight, he was patient and gentle, not barging in, but carefully observing her reaction. Originally resistant, she was captivated by his kiss and unconsciously developed a slight desire.

Embarrassment was inevitable, but Su Yushan was from modern times and was not as conservative as women in ancient times. In her mind, men could be intoxicated, and women also had the right to enjoy pleasure.

Since she was destined to be close to him, she might as well put aside her reserve and wholeheartedly enjoy the indescribable pleasure he brought her.

Next, only faint sounds filled the room. This commotion startled the moon, which, curious, cast its soft light, illuminating the window screen, and peeked in, wanting to see what was inside...?
