Chapter Nineteen: Su Yushan's Counterattack

Jin Minjing was puzzled. What had she done to offend the Fourth Master? Why was he so reluctant to come and see her?

Anxious, she ordered Xin'er to go out and find out where the Fourth Master was.

Xin'er went off under the cool moonlight and returned shortly after. Jin Minjing hurriedly asked her, "Did you find him? Is Fourth Master in the study?"

Seeing her troubled expression and her silence, Jin Minjing had a bad feeling. "He didn't go to Tingfeng Pavilion again, did he?"

"Uh..." Xin'er was hesitating about how to answer when Jin Minjing frowned deeply, her face changed color, she slammed her hand on the table, and shouted angrily, "What are you stammering about? Are you deaf or mute? I want to hear the truth, no lying!"

Xin'er was so shocked by her master's display that her heart trembled. She dared not delay any longer and nodded in fear, "Fourth Master... he went to Consort Su's room."

Just as she expected, it was Su Yushan again! Poor her, all that careful dressing up and waiting, only to arrive empty-handed. The simmering hatred made Jin Minjing gasp for breath, her heart pounding, and she gritted her teeth, muttering:

"This Su Yushan must be a vixen reincarnated. She's managed to cling to Fourth Master for so long, and he doesn't seem to get tired of her. That's not normal!"

Xin'er didn't care whether Su Yushan was a vixen or not; what she cared about was her own situation. "Princess, do you think she'll complain to the Fourth Prince?"

Once Su Gege and her servant complained, Xin'er worried that she would suffer the consequences, but Jin Minjing remained indifferent.

"She wouldn't dare! Even if she says it, so what? She was in the wrong first. I'm just following the rules. Fourth Master certainly won't blame me. No matter how big the problem is, I'll take responsibility. You can rest assured."

With her master having spoken, Xin'er was temporarily relieved, but Jin Minjing was seething with anger, tossing and turning all night, hating Su Yushan to the core.

At this moment, Su Yushan was still unsure whether Hongli would come over tonight, but she had a slight expectation in her heart. It wasn't that she missed him, but rather that she had other plans.

Chang Yue's wrist was cut and swollen. Su Yushan applied medicine to it herself. The ointment inevitably had a strong odor, which filled the room with a slight medicinal smell. Chang Yue planned to use incense to mask the unpleasant smell, but Su Yushan said it wasn't necessary.

"Keep it, no need to bother."
