Chapter Six: Hongli's Suspicion

Hongli slowly approached and saw a beautiful woman leaning against the side of the corridor, sitting with a person. Judging from her profile, it should be Su Yushan.

With her chin slightly raised, she stared blankly at the continuous curtain of rain under the eaves, her beautiful eyes losing their luster, and no one knew what she was thinking.

Is he watching the ever-changing dark clouds, listening to the sound of rain pattering on banana leaves, or thinking of someone?

In fact, Su Yushan did not miss anyone; she was just doubting herself. She made a decision for the original owner, abruptly ending their marriage. Was this the right choice, or an act of excessive selfishness?

She had never done anything to hurt others, but this time, she had hurt Zheng Lin. Although she had no malicious intent, her conscience still ached, so she was sullen and sighed as she stared blankly at the rain after returning home.

If Hongli saw this scene, he would inevitably start to overthink, "He went to the temple, but he still hasn't gotten over it?"

Upon hearing this voice, Su Yushan was slightly startled and subconsciously turned around to look. She caught sight of a tall and imposing figure in a violet-colored robe, then turned back to face him and nodded slightly.

Hongli did not sit down, but stood beside her, looking down at her. "Are you still troubled by your amnesia?"

His eyes appeared calm, but in reality, they gleamed with a sharp light, as if he could see right through people's hearts.

Feeling guilty, Su Yushan pursed her cherry lips, unsure how to answer. She couldn't keep secrets, and she didn't want to bother concealing them, lest she have to tell more lies to cover it up later.

After hesitating for a moment, she shook her head, twirled her fingers, and whispered, "There's something I want to tell you, but I'm worried you'll be angry."

Narrowing his eyes slightly, Hongli said seriously, "I'm not afraid to hear the truth, as long as you don't hide anything from me."

The conversation had begun, and she had no choice but to continue, "Today I met Zheng Lin at the temple..."

A guard reported that Hongli already knew about it, but he never expected that Su Yushan would not hide it from him, but would confess it to him!

Su Yushan's words were a mixture of truth and falsehood; she claimed that she had met Zheng Lin by chance and was unaware of his presence beforehand.

Hongli looked doubtful. "How did he know you would be going to the temple today? Could it be a coincidence?"
