Why did those words sound like those of a heartless woman coming from his mouth? Su Yushan couldn't help but retort, "Who said I don't like you?"
"I think I used to like you, but later... didn't you give up on me?" As he said this, Hongli's gaze was fixed on her, unblinking, his eyes full of inquiry.

Courage often comes in a split second. She feared that if she delayed any longer, more concerns would arise. Therefore, Su Yushan no longer hesitated, mustered her courage, and looked up to meet his gaze.
"Hongli, I...I..."
She stammered for a long time, unable to utter a complete sentence. Hongli suddenly laughed, "Still hesitating? If you don't speak soon, I'll fall asleep."
The reason she found it so hard to say those words was that she knew that if she chose to accept him again and embrace happiness, she also had to be prepared for her sincerity to be crushed to pieces once more.

She had some reservations, so Hongli stopped teasing her.
Because of his injury, the imperial meal delivered tonight was mainly light. Hongli's arm was injured and he had difficulty moving around, so Su Yushan personally fed him the meal.
The porridge she personally ladled tasted especially delicious to him. This heartwarming scene made Hongli feel as if he were in a dream. "You're suddenly being so nice to me. I'm not used to it."
