In just one year, the Dzungar War was completed with lightning speed. Emperor Yongzheng bestowed great rewards upon the troops. On the Emperor's birthday in the seventh year of Yongzheng's reign, Mongol generals also came to the capital to offer their congratulations. Aruhan finally received her family, but before she could even cry out her grievances, she was slapped in the face. From then on, she dared not cause any more trouble.
On the other side, with Qian Shengyan's help, Minghui also secretly met Jisebutengdorji. Seeing that the man was tall and strong, yet also polite, she felt relieved and waited patiently for the wedding.
The seventh year of the Yongzheng Emperor's reign began amidst war and ended in peace. In the spring of the eighth year, Hongli's eldest daughter, Yaliqi, suddenly began coughing and spitting up milk frequently. Fortunately, Qian Shengyan had been paying close attention to her granddaughter's condition and, without taking any chances from the early stages of her illness, quickly summoned the imperial physician. Despite the timely treatment, the little girl still developed a high fever and narrowly escaped death. Although she was somewhat weak, she was at least able to survive.
