Chapter Seventy-Six: The Wanyan Clan

After settling the gentlemen at the banquet in the front hall, Yi Hua suddenly realized she hadn't seen Hong Hui and the others, and quickly asked, "Where are those young masters?"

"Reporting to the Madam, the First Prince saw that the masters had started drinking, so he led the other young masters to the front to play pitch-pot," Su Peisheng immediately reported.

"That's good. Find someone to keep an eye on them and make sure they don't stay up too late. Also, make sure they're alert when they're resting and that the maids in the mansion don't cause any trouble," Yi Hua said after thinking for a moment.

Honghui and his nephews were just teenagers at the age when they were only half-understanding things. It was normal for them to have some kind of affair with the maids while they were drunk and in the midst of the festivities. However, this was the Fourteenth Prince's wedding, and it was really indecent for the nephews to cause a scandal at their uncle's residence.

The steward of the Fourteenth Prince's residence had just escorted his master to the bridal chamber when he heard the Fourth Princess's instructions upon his return, and immediately went to carry them out.

Seeing that she couldn't leave, Yi Hua slowly walked to the room where Yin Zhen was resting. He drank some hangover soup, and the blush on his face gradually faded. He lay on the bed with his hands clasped together, obediently covered with the quilt, but his eyes were open.

Yi Hua extinguished several more lamps, leaving only two at the doorway to light the way.

Although Yinzhen had been simply wiped clean, the smell of alcohol was too strong, so Yihua did not lie down next to him. Instead, she went to another part of the screen and lay down fully clothed.

Granny Chen and Yu Xiao helped Yi Hua relax, and Yi Hua drank a bowl of congee to fill her stomach: "That's great, let's all go to the palace for training tomorrow."

"It's the Fourteenth Prince's wedding, and all the gentlemen are happy, so don't worry," Granny Chen comforted her. "Quickly close your eyes and get some sleep."

"Okay, call me if you need anything. Keep an eye on things at Honghui's place, Granny." After saying that, Yihua hugged Liuliu and instantly fell asleep.

Liu Liu felt a little uncomfortable being held and wanted to break free from Yi Hua's embrace. Seeing that Yi Hua was sleeping soundly, she reluctantly twisted her body and also fell asleep leaning against her mother.

When Yi Hua woke up, she found herself lying in bed, with Liu Liu talking to Yin Zhen next to her.

“Father, Liu Liu was very good yesterday. She didn’t cry or make a fuss.”

"Yes, our Liu Liu is a good child, and good children get rewards." After saying that, Yinzhen took out a box from his pocket and handed it to Liu Liu. "Play with it quietly, and don't let your mother see it."

"What is it that you can't let me see?" Yi Hua asked curiously. She had wondered why Liu Liu, who was usually so impatient with wearing red, had spent the whole day rolling around on the wedding bed with a puffy face yesterday.

Upon hearing this, Liu Liu instinctively protected her box, saying, "Mine, mine."

This child, Yi Hua, didn't want her to develop such a possessive habit of food, so she immediately stretched out her hand: "Let Mother see."

Liu Liu looked up and saw that Yi Hua's face was not smiling. Knowing that there was no room for negotiation, she could only slowly place the small box in Yi Hua's hand.

As soon as Yi Hua opened the box, her scalp tingled. Inside were several black spiders and a small, bright green snake.

"this……"

"Mommy, it's candy, isn't it fun?" Liu Liu came over, her eyes sparkling, and poked at it with her chubby little hand, revealing its gummy candy properties.

This is so realistic! If Liu Liu hadn't said anything, Yi Hua would have really thought that Yin Zhen was giving the child poison.

"You little rascal, who are you trying to scare with these?" Yi Hua immediately understood Liu Liu's thoughts and asked.

Liu Liu counted on her fingers: "Big brother isn't afraid at all. Liu Liu is going to play with big sister and second brother."

"Don't bother your big sister." Yi Hua slapped Liu Liu's little bottom in annoyance. The eldest princess was a good child and doted on Liu Liu. She was a quiet and elegant girl, how could she withstand such a fright?

"Your Highness shouldn't spoil her too much." Yi Hua felt that Liu Liu was becoming more and more unruly because Yin Zhen was backing her up.

After a hangover, Yinzhen leaned lazily against the bed, watching his wife and daughters bicker. He smiled but said nothing, everything was understood without words.

This side is filled with tender affection, while the bridal chamber is a complete mess.

After being carried back yesterday, the Fourteenth Prince was so drunk that he couldn't even swallow any hangover soup. He lay sprawled on the bed, snoring loudly.

The Fourteenth Prince's wife glared at Yinzhen with anger and sorrow, saying, "Granny, this is only the first day. How am I supposed to live from now on?"

The wet nurse quickly comforted her, "Don't worry, Madam. There's plenty of time. We won't be short of a day. Besides, even if we talk about what happened today before the Emperor, the Fourteenth Prince is in the wrong. Because of that, he will treat you well."

After changing her clothes, Wanyan sat in front of the mirror, smelling the room with some disgust: "Granny, did you see that? The dates on the wedding bed were all crushed by that little brat. Don't you think that's a bad omen, and it's happening right here?"

The wet nurse didn't know why her young mistress was so superstitious: "Madam, Fourth Madam has been working very hard from beginning to end. Liu Liu is her legitimate daughter. If you have a falling out with Liu Liu, it will be difficult for you two sisters-in-law to get along in the future. You must not think like that."

"Fourth Sister-in-law is so capable, how could she make the men drink so much wine!" After all, this was the only major event in her life, and Wanyan was filled with resentment. However, she could not vent her anger on Yinzhen, so she could only express her dissatisfaction to Yihua.

And so, the couple made do for the night, and Yinzhen slowly opened his eyes as the sunlight shone on him.

It wasn't until he heard a woman's soft sobbing and saw the red everywhere that Yinzhen realized he was getting married.

Wanyan removed her heavy makeup, her hair was disheveled, and she sat at the foot of the bed, crying so pitifully that it was hard not to feel sorry for her.

Yinzhen felt a little guilty. He touched his nose and said, "Why are you crying on such a joyous day? Let's have a meal, and then go to the palace to pay our respects to the Empress."
