My heart immediately jumped into my throat; wolves are known for holding grudges.
There's an old saying that goes, "If a wolf turns back, it's either to seek revenge or to repay a debt of gratitude."
But now we have no gratitude left, only hatred. We killed their leader, so the pack must hold a grudge against us.
