Chapter Sixty-Three Lion-Tiger Beast

I was startled, and almost instinctively pulled the trigger of the gun in my hand.

But the white figure that lunged at me was unusually large, and its movements were incredibly swift.

It suddenly sidestepped my gun and landed in a low voice, kicking up a cloud of dust.

I was startled, my legs went weak and I fell to the ground. The white figure had already stopped, quickly and neatly turning its head, baring its sharp, white teeth menacingly.

It was only then that I realized the white shadow was actually a tiger!

But upon closer inspection, it was discovered that this thing does look somewhat different from a tiger.

At that moment, Chen Jian, who was standing not far from me, gasped and exclaimed in surprise, "This is actually a liger!"

It was only then that I realized this thing looked very strange. Was it actually a hybrid of a lion and a tiger?

This thing is extremely ferocious. How could there possibly be such a thing in this forest?

But I didn't have time to think, because the liger had already lunged at the wild boar lying on the ground.

With a single, massive bite, the wild boar's head was completely pulverized.

The liger's snow-white fur was instantly stained with blood. This thing had an amazing bite force, making it look even more ferocious.

Several colleagues who had been cheering just moments before were now deathly pale.

Those who were less timid even fell to the ground and wet their pants, looking utterly pathetic.

The liger grunted a warning sound, bit the wild boar, and tried to run away.

But we just managed to catch this wild boar with great effort, and it's our food for the next few days. How can we let it snatch it away halfway?

Moreover, this liger has already caught our scent. If we release it back into the mountains, it will only lead to endless trouble.

Fortunately, the wild boar was still attracting its attention, so I immediately stood up, carefully moved my body, and pulled the trigger.

But the click of the trigger caught the attention of the liger, which charged at me with its mouth wide open. The wild boar fell to the ground, spraying out another gush of hot blood.

The roar of the lion-tiger was so loud that it almost deafened me.

Its teeth were still covered with bits of wild boar meat, red and white, making it look extremely frightening.

I was sweating profusely with nervousness, but I knew I absolutely couldn't back down now, otherwise our whole group would be bitten and eaten by it.

Thinking about how Xu Wei and the others were waiting for me to bring back pork to improve their meals, if I were to die like this, then the remaining women probably wouldn't be able to survive either.

At that moment, a male colleague behind him, for reasons unknown, stood up and tried to run away.

But what these felines like best is to catch their food, play with it for a while, and then eat it.

Isn't this idiot just courting death?

However, the moment the male colleague moved, he suddenly attracted the attention of the liger. The liger slammed its huge paws on the ground, arched its back, and pounced on the male colleague.

I seized the opportunity, gritted my teeth, and quickly fired a shot at the lion-tiger beast.

But to everyone's surprise, the lion-tiger had thick hide and flesh, and the shot didn't even draw blood, instead completely enraging it.

Its enormous body leaped into the air and tackled the male colleague to the ground. With a lift of its massive claws, it trampled the male colleague under its feet.

I panicked and quickly reloaded the gun, but the liger had already opened its mouth wide and was about to bite down on my male colleague's head.

The image of my male colleague, his body mangled and dismembered by this lion-tiger beast, immediately flashed into my mind, and I couldn't help but shudder.

At this moment, Bai Wei, who was standing next to him, suddenly found the strength from somewhere, picked up a rock and threw it at the tiger beast.

Fortunately, there were many of us, and the liger didn't know who to bite. The blow drew its attention back to us.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, I grabbed my gun and shot it at the lion-tiger's head.

The liger let out a mournful howl; half of its head was bleeding from the gunshot wound, and it lunged at me in a rage.

I fired the gun at it haphazardly again, but I missed both shots.

This thing is so flexible!

There's only one bullet left in the gun. If this bullet misses, we'll have to fight it hand-to-hand.

But we are no match for this behemoth; even if we fight to the death, we will only die.

I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, and raised my gun to aim at the liger.

The liger was charging at me in a frenzy. Just as it was about to pounce on me, I pulled the trigger and fired a shot into its throat.

The gunshots were deafening, and because I was so close, the recoil actually knocked me to the side.

At the same time, the enormous lion-tiger beast landed right in front of me. A single shot struck its vital point, and it fell to the ground, its bright red blood spraying all over my face. The stench made me want to vomit.

Chen Jian rushed to my side, but his legs were too weak and he pulled me aside with a pale face.

The liger wasn't quite dead yet; it was still flapping its huge paws, trying to grab me.

But its throat was already ruptured, and it was on the verge of death. I grabbed a nearby branch and stabbed it hard in the neck. This time, it stopped moving completely.

His whole body convulsed a few times, then his eyes widened, but he was exhaling more than he was inhaling.

Chen Jian then took the dagger and stabbed the lion-tiger beast twice more, finally killing it completely...

The group of people were so frightened that their legs went weak and they fell to the ground, trembling uncontrollably. Bai Wei was also pale at this moment, and he was leaning against the tree, breathing intermittently.

Looking at the enormous thing in front of us, we were all trembling. After all, who has ever experienced anything like this before?

But the fact that liger beasts appeared in this forest was beyond my comprehension.

Although I was trembling with fear, I could only get them out of here as quickly as possible. It was already dark, and I was out of bullets. Who knew what kind of creatures might run out of the woods?

I quickly called over a few people, took the ropes I had brought earlier, tied the front hooves of the pig and the liger, and dragged them quickly toward the cave.

After walking for about two hours, we finally arrived at the foot of the mountain. Several male colleagues collapsed onto the beach, panting heavily.

Bai Wei and his group of female colleagues immediately took the mud basins I had given them earlier and brought us fresh water to drink.

We drank several mouthfuls of water, and gradually calmed down.

However, an argument broke out when they were dividing the items.

Bai Wei and his group felt that since they killed the tiger together, they should each get half.

But I shot the tiger, and if I hadn't hit it in the throat, they would probably have been eaten by that liger by now. Of course, I'm not willing to give it to them like this.

To everyone's surprise, Bai Wei shamelessly offered to give them the two pigs instead of the white tiger.

But of course I disagreed with that, and I never expected things to reach such a stalemate!
