Chapter 339 Giant Python Mountain

Xiao He and his group were all very nervous. They sat side by side with their hands clasped together, even holding their breath to a minimum.

Although I've never seen this giant python before, I'm now feeling a bit nervous because of their atmosphere.

Xu Wei was timid and huddled in my arms, remaining completely silent.

We stayed huddled in that damp, cold cave all night long. No one went out, and we didn't even eat anything that night.

They waited until 7:00-10:00 the next morning without incident, and Xiao He and the others breathed a sigh of relief. One by one, they climbed out to find something to eat.

When I brought Xu Wei out, Xiao He walked up to me and smiled.

"Ah, Brother Sihai is truly our lucky star. The first two times we were almost scared to death, yet we still narrowly escaped being caught by that snake. Last night was so peaceful. It seems that following you really has its advantages."

I looked at Xiao He and shook my head. This compliment was just too exaggerated.

"It might not be that snake, or it might have eaten its fill. But since it's gone now, let's take this opportunity to leave quickly."

After a quick bite to eat, we didn't even have time to catch our breath before continuing on our way.

This time, they walked until nightfall but still couldn't find an exit.

Xiao He and his group were not discouraged and continued walking for another two days. We were exhausted every day, but fortunately, apart from eating and resting, we didn't encounter anything else during those two days.

Although it was still dark, I wasn't so nervous because there were people around to talk to.

On the third day of our journey, we suddenly saw a large mountain with a strange shape, resembling a coiled python.

However, because it was too dark, I couldn't see the details clearly.

However, the shape of this mountain gives people a particularly oppressive feeling.

The middle-aged man seemed very knowledgeable. He looked at the mountain, picked up a few stones, and said to us with a heavy expression, "This should be the Giant Python Mountain. Legend has it that there is a snake mother here, so we should not stay here for long."

After he finished speaking, he took out a small piece of map from his pocket and turned on his flashlight to scan it.

Xiao He and the others didn't avoid me, so I went over to take a look. But as soon as I looked, I suddenly realized that the map in his hand was exactly the same as the map in Yang Rui's hand.

The middle-aged man was pointing to a very small mark. With the help of the flashlight, I realized that the mark was indeed drawn on a snake.

It seems this must be the giant python mountain that the middle-aged man was talking about.

But what exactly is this Giant Mang Mountain?

However, Xiao He, who had been very nervous, breathed a sigh of relief.

He pointed to a spot next to Giant Mang Mountain and turned to look at me: "This place should be near the sea. If we keep going forward a little further ahead from Giant Mang Mountain, we'll be able to leave this forest. Finally, there's hope!"

The middle-aged man nodded: "Yes, so I think for safety's sake, we should hurry up and leave!"

With something iconic, there's naturally less fear.

We didn't have time to rest, so we immediately bypassed the giant python mountain and continued on our way. It wasn't until after 8:00 p.m. that I finally smelled the familiar salty and fishy smell of the sea waves.

Xiao He and his group were also very excited. After splashing to the beach, some of them even scooped up seawater and gulped it down.

Xiao He looked at me and chuckled, "Sigh, they've been feeling really stifled in this forest lately. Even though the seawater isn't drinkable, let's at least quench their thirst."

Xu Wei, who was next to me, also licked her dry lips, after all, she hadn't drunk much water in the past two days.

It's truly remarkable that she's survived until now, relying on that vine that still has enough moisture.

I turned to look at Xiao He and asked if they had brought any cookware. Xiao He and the others had indeed brought some. Each person had their own eating cup, which could be used to steam and retain some fresh water.

We collected some dry branches nearby and then distilled the seawater from them.

Everyone drank about half a cup, which finally quenched their thirst.

In the evening, we collected some seashells and made some seashell soup. We each had a bowl, and it tasted delicious.

Now that I'm out, I need to go see Chen Jian and the others, because I'm very worried about their situation.

Although Wang Ping is a capable person, in such a chaotic situation, everyone was in a panic, so it would probably not be easy for Wang Ping to reorganize.

Since there were no communication facilities in this area, the only option was to search for them along the coast.

Knowing the dangers of the woods, Yang Rui and Wang Ping would certainly not go in. Therefore, we can find them by following the coastline.

Xiao He and the others didn't have any objections and decided to come with us.

In that case, we can take turns keeping watch at night. As long as we can maintain enough physical strength, it won't be difficult to meet again.

For the next six or seven days, we were almost constantly on the move, and on the eighth day, the polar night finally disappeared.

The moment I saw the sun rise, I almost cried tears of joy; I was incredibly excited.

I never thought the sun was that important, but when I actually lost it, I realized that the sun was number one in my heart.

Xu Wei was also very excited and cried several times. She has lost a lot of weight in the past two days. When the sun came out, I was finally able to see her face clearly in the light.

She looked exhausted these past two days, and her overall mental state was particularly low, but this time we finally had something to look forward to.

Walking towards the sun makes me feel much more at ease.

On the third day, we finally saw Chen Jian and his group at the beach.

However, their situation wasn't much better than mine and Xu Wei's; they had lost most of the few wolf pelts they carried.

All the iron pots we made before were gone, leaving only one. Everyone sat around the campfire, dejected.

Chen Jian and Wang Ping stood on the rock, each holding a large machete, clearly on guard.

Bai Wei and his gang surrounded all the women. I immediately searched for Xiao Qiang and Wang Xiaoxiao, but after looking around, I couldn't find them. I was really worried.

Xu Wei patted my shoulder and whispered, "Run! Go check on them. I'll be right there."

I touched Xu Wei's hand and gently comforted her, "Then be careful."

Xu Wei nodded, and I took off running towards Chen Jian and the others, shouting as I ran. When I got to them, Wang Ping looked at me in disbelief, then jumped down from the big rock and ran to my side. When he saw me, he hugged me tightly.

"Zhao Sihai, you fucking bastard, you're still alive!"
