Chapter 20 Bought Su Mu

"This is the last time. I will never let anyone bully you again."

Perhaps Lin Mo himself didn't know how fragile his voice was, how frightened his expression was, and how cautious he was, as if he was treating a precious treasure in the world.

After applying medicine and bandaging Su Mu's wound, he gently put him on the bed and gently stroked his little face, which had become pale and thinner.

"Uncle Yang, let Su Mu sleep here for a while. I will come to pick him up later. Here are two taels of silver, please keep it." Lin Mo said gratefully. If it weren't for the kindness of this old doctor, the original owner would have died before he could come through.

Doctor Yang was obviously startled. He pushed Lin Mo's hand away in panic and said angrily, "Don't spend so much money. You scared me to death. You kid, it seems you saved a lot of money on this trip. It's good that way. The family doesn't have to be so tight on money anymore."

"Uncle Yang, just accept it. You have treated me and prescribed medicine for me over the years, but my family has no money to give you. Now that we have money, you still don't give it to me. How can I feel embarrassed to come to you in the future?" After saying that, he stuffed the money into Doctor Yang's pocket and ran away without waiting for him to refuse.

When he got home, Lin Sheng and the others had already returned and were waiting for Lin Mo at home. As soon as Lin Mo entered the door, he saw Lin Wen and Lin Wu kneading the old ox.

"Third brother, you're back? Look, second brother said this is the big yellow cow you bought for our family." Lin Wu looked at Lin Mo happily, pointing at the yellow cow and said excitedly.

Lin Mo nodded and said with a smile: "Yes, Awu, I left in a hurry just now and didn't put the things in the car away properly. I bought a lot of things for home. You take Awen to sort them out. I have something to talk to my brother."

"Okay, Third Brother." Lin Wu pulled Lin Wen to move things.

"Brother!" Lin Mo shouted. Lin Sheng, who had been standing aside, stared at him blankly since Lin Mo entered the door. The younger brother in front of him was familiar and unfamiliar. Compared with before, the current Lin Mo made him feel more at ease, just like a home finally had a pillar of support.

"Why are you crying?" Lin Mo patted his back distressedly, helping him to calm down. "I gained a lot of experience and made a lot of money this time. My family won't have to work so hard anymore."

"You've earned so much money in more than two months, and you didn't do anything, right? We can't do those illegal things!" Lin Sheng looked at Lin Mo with tears in his eyes. He knew Lin Mo's character very well and naturally knew that he would not do anything reckless, but he still couldn't help but worry.

"It's okay, I'm doing normal business, you'll know later."

"Well, I got Mu'er's indenture contract back. The Su family is too much. They treat Mu'er like this. Since you like Mu'er, our family must treat him well in the future." As he said that, he took out the indenture contract and handed it to Lin Mo.

He was really angry today. In that scene, he was at a loss as to what to do. He was so anxious that he almost cried several times. If Amo hadn't come back in time, Su Mu would have been taken away by the Wang family!

Then he will never be able to rest in peace for the rest of his life!

Lin Mo looked at the paper and was a little dazed for a moment. When he came back, he thought of many ways to get the Su family to agree to let him marry Su Mu, and then bring him home in a grand sedan chair. But man proposes, God disposes. He never expected that in the end he would bring his beloved home through human trafficking.

This also gave him a more realistic understanding of this society. In this world, human trafficking is legal. Boys have a low status, and many poor families, if they have boys, will sell them to others. They will be slaves for their entire lives, and their life and death will be decided by the master's words.

"Even though the village chief and the village head were here, Old Lady Su was still stubborn and refused to give the indenture for fifteen taels. In the end, we negotiated for twenty taels. The extra five taels were raised by Second Uncle and the village chief. Ah Mo, five taels of silver we..."

"Here is five taels of silver. Big brother, you can ask Awu to pay you back one by one. I also sold a lot of cakes and cakes, and I will give some to each family. Remember all those who have helped us, and we will pay you back slowly in the future." Lin Mo handed the money to Lin Sheng.

Lin Sheng was a little overwhelmed when he received the money. This was the first time in his life that he had received so much money. In the past, no matter how frugal his family was, they could not save even a tael of silver. Most of the time, they gave all the money they had to Lin Mo to buy medicine. This was the first time that he had received five taels of silver at once!

"Amo...you...tell me the truth, you have been away for more than two months..." Lin Sheng's face showed worry and his voice was nervous.

Although Lin Mo has always said that it is a legitimate business, but in just one afternoon, he took out so much money and bought an ox cart and so many things. It is unknown how long it will take to save this money.

"Don't worry, big brother. I'll tell you everything in detail when I get back tonight. I'll go clean up your room. Now that Mu Mu is here, he'll live with you first."

The house at home is so dilapidated that the most urgent thing is to build another one.

Lin Mo spread out Lin Sheng's quilt. It was called a quilt, but it was actually just a thin layer of coarse cotton with a wooden board underneath. The family was so poor that the quilt had no patterns on it. It was just a piece of dark brown cotton cloth. However, Lin Sheng loved cleanliness and washed it diligently, so the color faded and you couldn't see the original color.

After putting on the new quilt he bought today and a thinner quilt, Lin Mo looked at the bed he had made with satisfaction.

This is what a bed looks like!

After everything was ready, he carried about a pound of pork to Doctor Yang's house.

Rural people seldom eat meat a few times a year. Doctor Yang and his son fled here and have no land in Maolin Village. The family relies on Uncle Yang's cooking skills to make a living.

But the villagers were poor, and no one would easily hire a doctor unless it was absolutely necessary. Naturally, Doctor Yang's family was not much better off.
