Chapter 77 Rain

It was still dark and the mountains and forests in the distance were shrouded in fog.

Lin Mo brought Lin Wu and Lao Gu who joined later. The three of them trained hard all morning until dawn.

Breakfast at home is usually white porridge with side dishes. Lin Mo planned to eat something different today, so he asked Lu Amo to knead the dough early.

After Su Mu got up, he started to busy himself in the kitchen with Lu Amo. When he was at the Su family, he was always the first to get up, but at the Lin family, Lin Mo and the others always got up earlier than him.

He blushed and felt uncomfortable when he thought that everyone had finished exercising and were getting ready for breakfast before he got up. After soaking his feet with Lin Mo last night, he almost didn't sleep all night, and his mind was full of the image of Lin Mo massaging him.

Lin Mo could remain calm, even as if nothing had happened, but he couldn't be so calm. He could only keep himself busy so that he could avoid Lin Mo for a short time.

"Why are you up so early? It's autumn now and it's a little cold in the morning. You can sleep in bed for a while longer."

As soon as Lin Mo finished washing up, he saw Su Mu, who was dressed neatly, sweeping the yard. He snatched the broom from his hand.

He continued, "Let's not have porridge for breakfast today. Let's have noodles."

Su Mu immediately responded, "There's nothing ready at home. I'll go help Amo Lu knead the dough."

He seldom cooked at the Su family because his mother was afraid that he would eat too much, so she locked the food in her room and watched it closely, hardly letting him touch the food. When she occasionally let him cook, she would only give him a precise amount.

So he didn't cook very often, he basically just helped by making fire and doing some odd jobs.

Therefore, his cooking skills are not very good. Since Lin Mo plans to open a food shop in the future, he wants to learn from Lu Amo when she cooks.

Lin Mo immediately grabbed him and said with a smile: "I asked you to learn how to make those pickled fish dishes before, not so that you can work in the kitchen in the future, but to let you know how the food we sell is made."

Looking at Su Mu, who was frowning in confusion, Lin Mo smiled brightly and continued, "You must learn the arithmetic I taught you well. Your tasks in the future will be more important than being in the kitchen."

"Okay, I will study hard." Su Mu nodded solemnly. No matter what Lin Mo asked him to do, he would try his best to do it.

The two were still talking in the yard when a heavy rain suddenly fell, and more dark clouds gathered in the already gray sky.

Lin Mo hurriedly pulled Su Mu under the eaves, then turned around to collect the clothes in the yard.

The rain came suddenly, and many things in the yard had not been cleaned up in time. Lin Sheng and Lin Wu were busy taking back the broad beans that were drying in the yard. Lao Gu's family was also busy moving all the sauerkraut that had been sent from the village and had not been pickled yet back to the shed.

Fortunately, when Lin Sheng was building the house, he thought of building a small shed in the yard. Otherwise, with so many things now, he wouldn’t know where to put them.

After making sure that nothing in the yard would be exposed to the rain, the family quickly took shelter under the eaves.

Lin Wu yelled in displeasure, "We had so much sunshine yesterday, and now it's raining so hard, and it started so suddenly. I don't think it's going to stop for a while."

Lin Sheng also wiped her wet hair while replying, "This autumn rain is heavy, so the construction site can only rest today."

"That's fine. Everyone has been busy recently and hasn't had a good rest. Since it's raining today, let's relax at home." Lin Mo took out a new large handkerchief and handed it to Su Mu unnoticed while speaking.

I had just pulled him under the eaves, but the little guy insisted on following me and working in the yard. Now his hair and clothes are all wet.

"Go change your clothes first, don't catch a cold."

Lin Mo pushed Su Mu back into the room as he spoke. Seeing the other person's wrinkled nose, he guessed that he was cold.

Fortunately, the lazy guy Lin Wen hasn't gotten up yet, otherwise he would have gotten wet as well.

Lin Mo returned to his room, got some clothes, and quickly took a shower in the bathhouse before changing into them. Touching his wet long hair, he couldn't help but complain.

After getting wet, the long hair was stuck together in clumps, and it was so wet and sticky that it made people feel uncomfortable. But without a hair dryer, it would take a while for it to dry.

If it weren't for the fact that people here believe that hair is given by one's parents and cannot be cut easily, he would have really wanted to shave his head immediately. Now he could only wipe it dry with a cloth.

Back in the kitchen, Lin Mo boiled some water and prepared some warming ginger soup before starting to prepare breakfast.

He stretched and crossed the dough that Lu Amo had kneaded in advance, and repeated it according to the method he remembered, until the dough became thinner and thinner, and then stacked it layer by layer to form noodles.

Lin Mo simply cut off the noodles at both ends, leaving only the thin noodles in the middle. These artificially stretched noodles were far less slender than the ones he had eaten before, but Lin Mo didn't care about that, as long as it was almost the same.

"Third Master, please go and rest. Let me cook the noodles."

Lu A'mo, who had just changed her clothes quickly, hurried to start making noodles. Lin Mo did not refuse. Lu A'mo knew how to make these hand-pulled noodles, and her technique was no worse than his.

"I'm going to make 臊子."

Lin Mo gave the task of cooking noodles to Lu Amo, who was stunned for a moment. "The Third Master wants to make a spoon?" What is that?

Su Mu came hurriedly and immediately walked up to Lin Mo, "Lin Mo, let me help you light the fire."

As he spoke, Su Mu had already squatted down, picked up the flint and with a "click", heated up the other fire chamber. From making the fire to breaking the firewood, his movements were neat and smooth, and it was obvious that he had been doing this for years.

"Then you better be careful, I'm going to add the oil." Knowing that Su Mu couldn't sit still, Lin Mo didn't stop him and simply put the oil in the wok.

The fatty and lean pork belly was chopped into small dices. Lin Mo poured it all into the wok. He fried the meat until it became fragrant, changed color, and released a thin layer of shiny oil. Then he started adding ingredients and water, covered the pot, and began to simmer slowly.

When the aroma becomes stronger, he pours in the diced mushrooms prepared in advance, and finally adds a few pieces of sugar, until the braised diced meat has all turned into a brown-red sauce. In this way, his臊子 is ready.

After Lu Amo put the prepared noodles into bowls, Lin Mo washed the fresh vegetables and threw them all into the pot after the water boiled. After blanching them for a few seconds, he spread them evenly on the noodles.

Pour a large ladle of sauce on top and sprinkle with chopped green onions, and a bowl of fragrant braised pork noodles is ready.

The recipe for this bowl of noodles is very simple. Lin Mo also cooked some diced meat and clear soup. You can choose to eat it dry or with soup noodles. He also has chili sauce made at home, so you can add it yourself if you want it spicy.
