Chapter 48 Will You Still Like Me
Huo Wenye carried her into the car.
Yin Fu lowered her eyes and said politely, "Thank you."
Seeing her distant attitude, Huo Wenye's expression also faded: "You're welcome."
The car was moving slowly.
The two of them spoke in silence along the way.
Yin Fu looked out the car window, her delicate profile like a beautiful puppet, expressionless.
For some reason, Huo Wenye felt a surge of anger in his heart when he saw her like this.
She has always been full of vitality. Even when pretending to be timid or pitiful, she is still lively, smart and cute.
He was extremely unaccustomed to seeing such a lifeless look.
"Mr. Huo, we're here."
The driver drove the car back to the Huo family villa.
Yin Fu finally came to her senses and said softly, "Can you take me back to the crew? I have work tomorrow."
Huo Wenye shouted to the driver, "Get off first."
The car had already driven into the villa's garage. Upon hearing this, the driver quickly got out of the car silently.
Yin Fu looked at Huo Wenye, her long eyelashes trembling slightly, her eyes moving with a hint of bitter sadness.
Huo Wenye raised his hand and stroked her face: "Alright, stop looking like a nagging woman. I told you that whether I get married or not, our relationship will not be affected."
Yin Fu just looked at him quietly, her eyes dim.
Huo Wenye said patiently, "I've prepared new clothes for the four seasons in the room you used to live in, according to your preferences. You can move back anytime."
Yin Fu was surprised: "Is it prepared for me?"
Huo Wenye nodded: "Who else is it for?"
"I thought you had found a new love..."
This made her feel a little jealous.
But even if he reserved the room for her, what would it matter?
Is it possible that he is married, and she, a canary, is shameless enough to live under the same roof with the first wife?
Yin Fu shook her head and still insisted: "Can you take me back?"
Huo Wenye's patience ran out, and his handsome face darkened: "If you want to go back to the crew, just walk back by yourself."
He opened the car door and got out with his long legs.
Yin Fu was left alone in the car.
She climbed into the driver's seat. Although the driver had left, the car keys were still there.
She wouldn't be so stupid as to walk all night in the snow.
Yin Fu started the car and sent a message to Huo Wenye: [I spent 36 million tonight. I think it's okay to borrow your car for a while, right?]
Without waiting for his reply, she stepped on the accelerator and drove out of the garage.
Sadness is sadness.
Life still has to go on.
Yin Fu rubbed her nose and cheered up.
Huo Wenye accepted her one-year maintenance fee, and this matter is not over yet.
Yin Fu returned to the crew hotel and fell asleep. Fortunately, there was no rehearsal the next morning, so she slept until noon and finally recovered her energy.
The drama "Love in the Republic of China" is about to be completed, and she is temporarily forgetting her worries by immersing herself in work.
After being busy for a few days, the second young master Huo Wenjing came to see her.
Yin Fu was not surprised at all.
Old Master Huo urged Huo Wenye and Wen Yan to get engaged, so it was impossible for the Second Young Master Huo not to have heard the news.
"Are you really going to marry him?"
In the hotel room, Huo Wenjing asked in a quiet voice.
Yin Fu looked up at him.
The man who was always gentle and elegant actually looked a little haggard.
His eyes, framed by silver wire, were filled with sinister restlessness, and the pain seemed to be hidden deep beneath the cold water, thick and deep.
He came to her again to be her substitute.
"I have no other choice."
Yin Fu sighed softly and pressed her brows together, as if she was helpless. "The marriage was decided by the two families' heads of families, and I can't change it."
Huo Wenjing's eyes suddenly became sharp, and he said in a deep voice, "No, you can change it. As long as you don't agree, this marriage cannot be completed."
Yin Fu thought, you know the answer, yet you still ask.
Isn't this just deceiving yourself?
Yin Fu could only purse her lips and remain silent, looking at him with a gentle and warm gaze.
Huo Wenjing's eyes grew increasingly restless, and he suddenly shouted angrily, "I was kidnapped when I was thirteen, and you said you didn't recognize me. Was it from that moment on that you decided to treat me as just a stranger?"
Yin Fu frowned in confusion.
He once asked her to play the role of the little girl who saved him in the kidnapping case.
She also guessed that the little girl should be Wen Yan.
But why did Wen Yan say she didn’t know him at that time?
"I didn't mean that..." Yin Fu continued to act responsibly, and said sadly, "Why do you misunderstand me like this?"
"After being rescued, I went back to look for you. The address you mentioned was a lie. I couldn't find the place you mentioned at all."
Huo Wenjing's eyes were dark, as if he was immersed in those memories.
That little girl was smart and cunning.
She doesn't look like she has lost her memory at all.
The time she spent with him was like a ray of light shining through the darkness.
He likes her.
Even though he was only thirteen years old that year, he was sure that he liked her.
Those two years were the two years when Wen Yan was missing.
He was fifteen when she was found.
She was a little different from the lively little girl he remembered; she was more cautious and dignified.
He asked about him being tied up in the warehouse, and she looked confused and apologetic: "I'm sorry, I don't remember. I fell and hit my head, and a lot of my memories are blurry."
Is it true?
Or maybe, she decided from then on to choose his elder brother and draw a clear line with him?
If that was the case, then why did she always come close to him later?
"Have you ever considered the possibility..."
Yin Fu listened to Huo Wenjing recalling the past, and suddenly came up with a bold hypothesis from his fragmented words.
"What's possible?"
Huo Wenjing came back to his senses from his memories, his eyes were cold behind his lenses.
"If the little girl who saved you wasn't me..."
The "I" Yin Fu mentioned refers to Wen Yan.
She paused, then continued, "But someone who looks like me?"
Huo Wenjing was suddenly stunned.
He never thought of it that way!
Seeing that he looked as if he had been struck by lightning, Yin Fu pursed her lips slightly.
She was just guessing.
It does not equal the truth.
Young Master Huo needs to investigate this matter himself.
"If I wasn't the one who saved you, would you still... like me?"
Yin Fu asked softly.
Will he still suffer so much for Wen Yan?
Huo Wenjing's complicated gaze fell on her face, which looked very similar to Wen Yan after she put on makeup.
Yin Fu looked back at him.
Huo Wenjing didn't answer for a long time.
He suddenly stood up and said, "You don't have to play her anymore. Tonight's stand-in fee is free for you."
Yin Fu raised her eyebrows. Is there such a good thing?
Huo Wenjing narrowed his eyes, looked at her scrutinizingly, and asked abruptly, "Have you ever been to that warehouse before?"
The warehouse where he was kidnapped.
Yin Fu couldn't help but exclaimed, he was wondering, if the little girl back then was not Wen Yan, could it be someone who looked like Wen Yan?
But at that time, she had not yet crossed over.
In the original owner's memory, there was no mention of saving him.
“No.”
Yin Fu shook her head regretfully.
She actually hoped it was the original owner, then it would be much easier for her to conquer him.
But you can't just pretend to be someone like that.
