Just as the group was about to leave, Song Wan'er rushed over, saying, "Wait, wait, wait for me."
Jiang Jinxiu muttered to herself, "There are so many hypocrites today."
"There are quite a lot, and they're quite pretty. I'll pick some for you later," Gu Xichen replied, assuming she was referring to the white lotus flowers in the pond.
Jiang Jinxiu chuckled.
This man is really...
Just as Song Wan'er was about to reach them, Jiang Jinxiu patted the cow and said, "Run..."
As if it understood, the ox immediately took off running.
Song Wan'er watched Jiang Jinxiu's actions unfold before her eyes, and then watched helplessly as the oxcart drove away into the distance.
"Jiang Jinxiu, we grew up together, how could you do this to me!" Song Wan'er's eyes were full of anger as she glared fiercely at Jiang Jinxiu.
Jiang Jinxiu looked at her with an innocent expression: "How did I harm you? If you want to frame me, you should at least come up with a good reason."
Seeing the bicycle beside her, Song Wan'er said with envy, "Since you drove the oxcart away, lend me your bicycle. I need to go to town."
"You think you can just lend it to me like that? Dream on." With that, Jiang Jinxiu was about to ride away on her bicycle.
Song Wan'er grabbed the back seat of the car, preventing her from leaving.
"No, you must lend me your bicycle, I have an urgent matter."
Song Wan'er's eyes reddened with anxiety; she was determined to go to town today.
Jiang Jinxiu was really heartbroken. Why couldn't one or two of them make her feel a little better?
"Let go!" Jiang Jinxiu snapped angrily.
Song Wan'er acted as if she hadn't heard, holding on tightly.
As the two were arguing, the sounds of a dog barking and a woman screaming came from afar.
A woman with disheveled hair ran from a distance.
Jiang Jinxiu knew at a glance that it was He Mei.
Little Black chased after her as if she were a toy.
As soon as He Mei saw Song Wan'er, she ran straight to her, crying, "Wan'er, save me!"
Song Wan'er then realized that the person who came was He Mei.
Just as I was about to ask her what happened, I saw a wolfhound following behind.
My legs went weak instantly, and I almost collapsed to the ground.
"Dog, dog, how could there be a dog?" The voice trembled slightly.
Jiang Jinxiu watched the two trembling figures embracing each other with satisfaction, feeling a great sense of joy.
Out of the corner of her eye, Song Wan'er saw Jiang Jinxiu standing fearlessly beside the car, watching them, and something came to mind.
She suddenly stood up, pointed at Jiang Jinxiu, and angrily said, "Jiang Jinxiu, how dare you unleash your dogs to bite people? I'm going to tell the village chief, I'm going to call the police."
Jiang Jinxiu looked at it amusedly: "Where did it bite you?"
Xiao Hei had just arrived and hadn't touched her at all.
As for He Mei...
Um.
His hair was a bit messy and his clothes were a bit dirty, but there were no signs of being bitten by a dog.
At most, it was just a fall.
Jiang Jinxiu gave Xiao Hei an approving look.
Well done.
Little Black received praise from its owner, and its tail held high.
“Bite…bite…” Song Wan’er couldn’t finish her sentence. She noticed He Mei’s hand trembling as she held hers: “You bit He Mei.”
He Mei had been chased by the dog for so long that she was filled with panic and didn't hear what they were saying at all.
"Really? Where?" Jiang Jinxiu's voice trailed off, carrying a hint of threat.
As if receiving some kind of command, Xiao Hei bared its teeth and barked wildly at them.
This time, He Mei was so frightened that she fainted.
Song Wan'er's mind went blank, and she slumped to the ground in a daze.
A short while later, a strong smell of urine wafted over.
Jiang Jinxiu smelled a foul odor, looked down, and saw that the spot where Song Wan'er was sitting was wet.
They're so easily frightened.
This is the scene that Liu Jianjun saw when he arrived.
Jiang Jinxiu looked down at the two people on the ground like a victor.
One was unconscious, the other was pale and dazed.
"If you have a problem, come at me. Why treat them like this?"
He hugged Song Wan'er tightly, his heart aching.
Seeing Liu Jianjun, Song Wan'er felt as if she had found her pillar of support, and she cried to him, "Brother Jun, I just wanted to borrow her bicycle, how could she treat me like this? Waaah..."
While trying to appease her, Liu Jianjun glared at Jiang Jinxiu and berated her, "You weren't like this before. How have you become so vicious?"
Liu Jianjun's words almost made Jiang Jinxiu lose control.
Her eyes were red, and tears blurred her vision.
The hatred in her heart surged like waves, almost overwhelming all her reason.
She sniffed, her words laced with hatred: "Liu Jianjun, anyone can talk about me, but you have no right to."
Liu Jianjun was startled by the hatred in her eyes; this was the second time.
How could she hate him so much?
I've never acted like this when I rejected her before.
Did she really discover something?
impossible.
After a moment of stunned silence, his refined face contorted into a grimace: "You've really changed, become utterly unreasonable."
"Woof woof woof..." When Xiao Hei saw someone yelling at its owner, a fierce glint flashed in its eyes. It approached Liu Jianjun step by step and barked at him.
Looking at the dog's head so close to his eyes, Liu Jianjun's face turned pale.
When did this dog appear?
He had a lot of questions in his mind.
He was so focused on the few people that he didn't even notice there was a dog there.
"Jiang, Jiang Jinxiu, get your dog away right now."
Jiang Jinxiu scoffed and ignored him.
She looked at the three people present with a gloomy face.
If murder weren't illegal, she really wanted to just kill them all.
